Summer of 2015

Wow! Half the year is over and I haven't blogged a bit!  I have been busy crocheting tine flowers for my daughters' wedding in Sept.  I am stressed out on trying to get these done in time! I also crotched an owl  for my DIL. I am at the moment in Tennessee watching the grandkid for the summer and today it is 95* degrees and it  feels like 105! I have so much to blog ....but need to get off the PC. I deactivated my face book so I could get some stuff done!  Laurel

My 2014 Christmas Ornaments

The top picture is my 2014 ornaments for the grandkids!
The bottom pictures are the ones I did for my kids. They pick out the ones they like! The reindeer were also picked out by the grandkids.  I was so relieved to get them done cause od the great slump I got into. These didn't get finished till November! I am doing owls this 2015 for the grandkids. Also the reindeer are a Sue Hillis kit.

Time flies!

Wow ...how time flies! I see its been some time since I blogged. I really need to stay on my toes!

Wee here is what I have cookin'.  I have now completed 3 reindeer ornaments, with 6 more to go!

Then I started and finished an afghan.

And I started a C2C  (corner to corner) afghan.  Its much larger than this...I ran out of yarn. I used a brand new 1# red and its all gone!

So that's about it. I am also watching 3 grandkids while there mom and dad work.

Have a great Day! I will be back when I have finished the C2C.

My Christmas ornaments for this year!

Well the New Year is already 2 months old!  I have been busy stitching my Christmas ornaments and thought I should get them posted. I usually don't finish them till around October. Here's what I got! The first one I stitched after last Christmas but it is for Christmas 2014. I may change the date.

This one is has not been claimed by a grandkid yet.

I plan on making each one of my kids around 3 dozen snowflakes each and some hearts for their trees. I still have to starch them.
 This deer is for Braylon!

This year I have decided to make all my kids snowflakes for their trees. A little more something to go along with the ornaments I make for them. The reindeer ornaments are being stitched for my grandkids and I now have 8 more to go!

As always when I close....I am asking you to pray our Military and their Families.  May they all  stay safe....  Laurel

Update on my Christmas ornaments

I just finished Kaidyn's Christmas ornament! She wanted a pink background for her penguin...so she got pink! I am almost done with Addisyn's ornament...but ran out of the floss that was in the kit! I tried to match it to DMC floss but that didn't work either. The Lt purple was just a little off from the kit floss, so I ordered it from the company...they said it would be 3 weeks  before I would get the floss! Darn! I hate dye lots! So as to not waste stitching time I started with Kaidyn's ornament and now I am working on Lily's ornament. I have 2 more to go when I am done with Lily's! Yahoo...Christmas is right around the corner!

Well off for now...got to get stitchin'....Have a great day!  Laurel
