Holiday Look

12.19.2016

So many of you, and I as well, have Holiday parties coming up. My first is coming up this Thursday and I have absolutely no clue what to wear. I've come up with a few ideas and would love your opinion.
Here's one outfit I had in mind. High waist dress pants paired with a bralette and a blazer. Thoughts?

This is the outfit that I’d be wearing today if I was a magician. Slip dresses are incredibly hot right now, especially worn with a t-shirt underneath. Also currently trending are block heeled shoes. Now add a cool motorcycle jacket and in-the-moment accessories and you’ve got yourself the hippest #OOTD to be seen in this Spring. Now I can’t get you free clothing but you can get this entire look for under $150! Plus free shipping, plus a 40% discount with code “TS40” on SheIn. How much do you love me? J

Marc Cain x Canada

4.07.2016

Last night I had the great opportunity to preview MarcCain’s FW16 collection.
Marc Cain, founded in 1973 by its Managing Director Helmut Schlotterer, is a fashion brand made from the finest quality Italian fabrics. Their vision is simple, “Fashion that is always a little bit different and yet always true to itself.”
Their FW16 collection consisted of some gorgeous pastels, timeless black & white pieces, mixes of patterns, Victorian influences and some funky bold pieces that I would kill for. I mean, that black leather jacket with the fur collar…I DIE! They also introduced the new label Bags & Shoes which stands out from the rest with its unique designs. They unfortunately did not have samples on hand but I was able to review their lookbooks and instantly fell in love…especially with the white hi-top sneakers.
“The Marc Cain woman lives for today, is confident, open-minded and curious. She loves being a woman, which she expresses through what she wears – naturally and effortlessly.”

Hiphunters

3.17.2016

Where does one go to shop over 6000 designer brands of women, men, kids, clothing, accessories and much more?
Hiphunters is your one stop shop where you can purchase carefully selected key items of the season from up and coming designers as well as some household favourites. Shop right from the comfort of your own home while laying in your nighty sipping on some tea and eating crumpets. I actually had to Google what crumpets were as I've just heard it in movies but didn't know what they actually were. I'm Canadian...I shop while laying in a flannel onesie, wrapped up in a blanket, sipping on hot chocolate and eating Timbits. Don't judge!
Ok, mind off the Timbits and let's focus on shopping.

Here is an outfit I created, which I wish I were wearing at the moment, with all styles chosen from Hiphunters women's market clothing section as well as the women's market shoes section, and more..

these boots are made for walking

12.15.2015

these boots are made for walking
Some of you had these in high school, some of you have these now, some of you still have the ones you owned in high school. These worldwide recognized boots have been around for over 60 years and are still popular today. Dr. Martens can be worn all year round in boot form and in shoes as well. They come in array of wonderful colors and prints however the most popular being the 8 eyelet black leather bootie. They are made with durable leather, air cushioned soles, and offer good abrasion and slip resistance. An all-purpose footwear that will also keep you from feeling Jack Frost's bite.
Check out Union Jack Boots and buy a pair for your entire family. The family that looks cool together stays together :) And mommies or mommies to be out there, they also carry infant size...HOW CUTE!!!...and free shipping on orders over $75!
Still stuck on what to get a loved one for Christmas, give them the gift of style.

Farfetch Monster

10.16.2015

I was contacted by the insanely adorable Ayesha from Farfetch asking if I'd like to take part in a contest they have running...#FarfetchMonsterComp. Without even blinking, or thinking it through, I naturally said YES!! MY GOD OF COURSE YES!!! Because, I mean..it's Farfetch people!
After I managed to contain myself, I read through to see what this challenge entailed. No nudity involved, phew! All I had to do was create a set showcasing a Fendi Monster piece.
The Fendi Monster is arguably the most stylish and luxurious monster to date with its colorful fur, peekaboo or menacing monstrous eyes, and large fluffy eyebrows. (Sounds a little like me...grrr) It has evolved from its Bag Bug keyrings, to a complete range that includes rucksacks, shoes, jackets, and more. Even the classic Fendi Baguette has been embellished to show off its monstrous side!
So instead of just throwing around some random items in a set, I decided to create an outfit that I would actually wear...in public...with at least one of these "monster" items.
If I were going on a date on October 31st, I'd definitely be rocking this Halloween Chic look :)

free love, man!

3.03.2015

Ok, you know how 70's fashion is the biggest craze right now and will be this Spring/Summer...Well just so happens that this decade is my ultimate favourite as I've expressed billions of times on here. I love the music, the clothes, the acid, the people born then (I'm a seventies baby, baby). The accessories are also amaze balls. What's not to love! Everything was so organic and big and tailored and we didn't have to wear bras (uh, where is this 70's place and when do we move there?).
I don't know about you guys, but I shoulda had you at "no bras/razors necessary". If you didn't get to experience the 70's enough to remember them (let's be honest; if you did experience the 70's properly, you probably don't remember any of it heeyyyyoooo) then you have probably seen all the cool movies that were inspired by that decade.

I've put together some outfits from my favourite 70's movies of ALL TIME just to show you that free love doesn't die man, we can still hug trees and do it on a Persian rug in a park somewhere in upstate New York wear these fashions today!

Check out these awesome looks that will have you running for bell bottoms and platforms like right away. Man.

And because I'm cool like that, I've also made a quick playlist featuring my favourite song from each movie soundtrack. Can you dig it!

H&M + Coachella

1.12.2015

photo c/o H&M
H&M is excited to announce its first ever festival collaboration with the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
H&M continues their sixth year as a sponsor of the festival by taking their partnership to the next level and creating a first of its kind officially branded collection. The partnership extends beyond the collection, a portion of the official festival merchandise sold will be provided by H&M. The H&M loves Coachella collection will be available in approximately 350 stores in North America beginning on March 19th and worldwide on March 26th.
It will offer men's and women's clothing along with a variety of accessories with prices ranging from $4.95 to $49.95 and will embody the aesthetic of the festival for 2015. It will focus on a romantic trend with graphic tops, fringe, lace, rompers, crop tops, shorts, and wide legged pants for a feminine bohemian look. For men there will be graphic tees and shorts.
For those lucky enough to attend Coachella, H&M will have their first ever pop-up shop on-site in the H&M tent where festival goers can buy the exclusive collection, take a break indoors and enjoy an interactive experience. Although the festival is sold out, as a special perk to customers, H&M will be giving away all inclusive trips to the festival throughout the month of March through social media and in stores. Customers who bring unwanted clothing to any H&M store to be recycled will receive a 20% off voucher for the entire purchase and will also be entered to win a once in a lifetime weekend.

the only outerwear you need

10.20.2014

These are basically the only jackets/coats you will need to get you through the cooler seasons...or life in general. Every year the same styles keep coming out in trend reports, on the fashion scene, in your favorite shops, etc. These are styles that will never fall out of trend and even if you do spend a pretty penny on getting the perfect one for you, it'll be worth it as they will remain in your closet forever. Instant classics!
To complete my collection, I am now missing the trench coat, and maybe a few others in a basic black color.
What is missing in your closet?
Clockwise from top left: Nasty Gal, ASOS, BooHoo, Zara

Clockwise from top left: Uniqlo, Nasty Gal, YesStyle, ASOS

Clockwise from top left: Nelly, Lipsy, Revolve, BooHoo

festival fashion

7.29.2014

Coachella in the US is like Osheaga in Canada. It stands as the largest music and arts festival of its kind in Canada.
For it's ninth edition, Osheaga promises fans an unforgettable festival experience with an ultra cool musical line-up such as Outkast, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, Foster The People, Haim, and so so much more.
Unfortunately I totally wish I could go this weekend and if I were to go, this is such a "me" festival fashion outfit.
What would you wear?

micro trend - The Simpsons

4.14.2014

The 90's street style aesthetic is back in a big way and The Simpsons has lots of new culture-defining products that introduce bart Simpson and family to the younger generation in trendy items such as varsity jackets, tees, snapbacks, and fanny packs. What started with a unique, celebrity-obsessed collaboration with Jeremy Scott and showcase at Fashion Week, has erupted into an entire fashion streetwear empire with exciting trendsetting collaborations to celebrate the iconic show's 25th anniversary of the longest running scripted show in television history.

Joe Fresh F/W '14

3.24.2014

Anyone else in love with the Joe Fresh F/W '14 runway looks? Love the khaki green explosion and touches of orange.
My favorite piece (if I must choose just one) is the khaki short coat with shearling interior in the first photo. To die for! I can't wait for it to hit stores.
What's your favorite piece?
