Creative Fingers #22 with Stamping Chef

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at
As always, our theme is
Anything Goes
with an optional twist.
This week we would like to see you add a Die Cut to your creation.

Our super sponsor this week is
The Stamping Chef
If you're in the mood for some really fresh and sassy images,
they are THE place to go!

The image I used was the sweet "Jolene."

Now for the copy and paste part of this post:
For the next several weeks, my posts are going to be just the basic invite to new challenges along with photos of my projects.  I found out that my left rotator cuff is torn and will require surgery to repair it.  I'm able to continue crafting for the time being but typing is really uncomfortable because of the angle that my arm is in to do so.
~~I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I love crafting and don't love typing so much.~~

If you have any questions about the techniques or supplies that I've used on any cards, please leave me a comment.  Or you can email me.  The email information is in the left hand column just below my profile.

Please forgive me for not commenting on your blogs; but know that I am stopping by to take looks at all of the incredible creations my lovely friends are sharing.

Creative Fingers and Scrapper's Delights

Today begins a new challenge at
This week we have one of the funnest themes I've seen:
Fairy Tales

Our great sponsor this week is

The fine folks over at Scrapper's Delights allowed all of us on the Design Team to select our own image to use for this challenge.  Since I recently discovered that there is actually a Grimm's Fairy Tale called "Queen Bee," I had to search for a great bee image.  That's when I found the perfect one....

I love her attitude and that awesome honey dipper for her scepter.  The image was paired with a sentiment from Repeat Impressions.  The embellishments on the card were inspired by the sentiment.  I added some washi tape with numbers on it some white layering weight paper.  The washi tape is from the dollar bin at Meijer.  The black mesh is from a produce bag.

The little tag is from my stash and I added the number one with a Martha Stewart stamp.  A button from my stash was tied onto the tag with baker's twine.

I added a few black rhinestone stickers from the Michaels dollar bin around the white mat.  The ends of the antennae were just screaming for a couple of the small rhinestones.  I initially thought I would just add some Glossy Accents to the wings but decided to throw a bit of gold glitter on top.  I love the effect that gave.  It's like Stickles Lite.

All of us on the Design Team at
would love to see your new Fairy Tale inspired project this week.
Good luck to all that enter!

In addition to the items I mentioned above,
these are the items use to make this card:

Creative Fingers & Sassy Studio Designs

Welcome to a brand new challenge at

We have an Anything Goes challenge this week.
Our fabulous sponsor is

All of the Design Team was lucky enough to be able to choose a
fun and fantastic images from Sassy Studio.
I decided on "The Greatest Gift."

Santa (aka: my hubby) was so sweet this Christmas and brought me a Big Shot.  Yay!!  I used the largest of the Spellbinders Lacey Circles to cut the image.  While the die was still in place, I inked around the image with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

Lavender seam binding was woven through the scallops.  I added a small Prima mulberry flower and a resin flower over the "tails" of the seam binding to complete the embellishing of the image layer.

The banner was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Create a Critter 2 cartridge.  I merged 2 banners in Cricut Craft Room to make it long enough for all of the letters and the tiny hearts.

You can find this card in the following challenges:
Make sure you head over to
and check out all of the inspiration pieces
from the rest of the Design Team.
We all hope you're able to join the fun of this new challenge!

Creative Fingers thanks our sponsors

I'm proud to announce my new spot on the fabulous Design Team at
The group of crafters that I'm joining are all so uniquely talented and super friendly.  I really look forward to getting to know them better.  There's no doubt that I'll be inspired by these ladies.

Angelique (our fearless and brilliant leader) came up with an idea that all of us on the DT think is just fantastic.  Each of the sponsors from the 2013 Creative Fingers challenges has had a special card made thanking them for their involvement.  It is only by the generosity these sponsors extend that fun prizes are available each week.  They most definitely deserve our Thanks!!

I was happy to be able to use one of the fantastic Santa images from Scrapper's Delights.  (The North Pole sign is also from Scrapper's Delights.  It is sold separately from Santa.)  Honestly, this is one of my favorite images of the Jolly Old Elf that I've used.  What a great face on this guy!

Because I do love this image so much, I kept the design of this card very simple.  I wanted to completely spotlight Santa.  That great silver background paper is from Paper Temptress.  It is Mirrored Reflective Cardstock that I scored a few lines along both sides.  I just added some small silver brads to the corners of the image mat.

I hope that you have a chance to go take a look at all of the cards made by the Creative Fingers DT to express our sincere appreciation for the support these great sponsors provide.

May you enjoy a blessed and very Merry Christmas.
Thank you for spending time with me today!!
