World Postcard Day is held on 1 October every year to celebrate this creation.  Pick up a pen and send your loved ones a surprise with a heartfelt message. They will be so happy to receive your postcards!

The postcard success story began more than 150 years ago. On 1 October 1869, the first postcard was sent in Austria-Hungary and quickly went on to become a global success. Ever since then, postcards have connected people from all over the world. 

For some people, an affectionate postcard message marks the beginning of true love, and for others, a postcard offers comfort during difficult times. As a holiday greeting or congratulatory message, they are a delightful thing for family, friends, and relatives to receive.

New Postcards from India Post

On 01 October 2020, India Post is releasing a set of 12 postcards duly canceled with 12 different pictorial cancellations.

The world celebrates 151st  world Postcard Day today on 1st October,2020.Gujarat Postal Circle will release a Special Cancellation Cachet on 1^st October 2020, on the occasion of 151^st World Post Card Day. The cachet will be released at all three breauus of Gujarat i.e. Ahmedabad GPO, Rajkot HO , and Vadodara HO..It will be fixed on all articles received  at the office.

Debutpex 2020

India’s First Virtual Philatelic Exhibition on Postcards

DebutPex 2020 is India’s First Online Postcard Exhibition with international participation. The exhibit will be showcased online on www.debutpex.com The exhibition is being organised by the Postcrossing Society of India (PSOI), a Non-profit society promoting writing postcard with support of India Post and hosted by PostcardsVille, a postcard design venture. The novel initiative is to celebrate Postcards, and to commemorate the 151st World Postcard Day that falls on 1st Oct 2020. The exhibition is open to all deltiologists across the Globe.

New Postcards from Czech Republic

New postcard on 105. years of the discovery and description of the species by a Czech native R. Markgraf. The postcard features a Spinosaurus.

The second postcard features Robert L. Carroll US-paleontologist who  died on April 8, 2020 in Westmount, Quebec, due to complications from COVID-19.

Both postcards  are stationery on private order by the Czech philatelic collector Group  FAUNA & FLORA with permission of the Czech Postal administration.
