"The Disease of the Dancing Cats" by Bush, album "The Science of Things" (1999)

 Infested, polluted

Eighty tons of mercury dumped in the bay
It's bleeding, there's no roof
That's no way to treat a good friend
Your whiskey talks louder
Than most things I've read you've said
In situ, in place now
Sit back, unwind and relax
Big cheese is all greed
It's all relative to what you need and
Happy birthday, happy birthday
Happy birthday, here's your nerve gas
All the fishermen and their families
All sickly crumbling cerebellum
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like they're back on the street again
Mistrusted, disrupted
Rape land and kill good habitat
A world weary, a world broken
A world spent and money money money money
Injected, transmitted
Eighty tons of mercury dumped in the bay
It's breathing
It puts the dog in the basket
All the fishermen and their families
All sickly growing sentimental
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like
they're back on the street again
All the fishermen and their families
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like they're back on the street again
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like, looks like, looks like, yeah
Invaded, downgraded
Your bile lands right on my head
Uncalled for, unwanted
My sinking zero tolerance
All the fishermen and their families
All sickly crumbling cerebellum
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like they're back on the street again
All the fishermen and their families
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like they're back on the street again
It's all over for orangutans
Looks like it's a street again

"Deforestation" by Culture, album "Heteronome" (1997)

Deforestation leads to extinction...
Another land laid to waste, species die, forest falls.
Endless fires consume all life, nature dies while demons dine.
Sky grows black, blood runs red.
End of life, no more compromise.

Sky grows black, blood runs red.
End of life, no more compromise.

This world is hell, I must escape this living hell.
This world is fucking hell.

Forest Falls.....

"Destroy the Machines" by Earth Crisis (1995)

"Inherit the Wasteland"

Destroyed in the hands of the deranged
Mankind's will has been imposed upon the earth as though we
Were alone and if our actions had no consequences
Man crushes all that bars the way on this path to annihilation
Taking for themselves while the other inhabitant's
Lives are given no consideration
Inherit the wasteland! Spilled oil contaminates the sea
Inherit the wasteland! Poisons fill the atmosphere
Inherit the wasteland! Toxins infect the ground. Inherit the
Wasteland! Deforestation scars the earth
The rainforests burn. Countless animals die
We must regain control or there will
Be nothing left to save. The harmony of nature
Twisted into dischordance. Left to die in the aftermath of their destructive
Sightlessness. Time is running, time is running
Time is running ... Time is running out

"New Ethic"

This is the new ethic
Animals' lives are their own and must be given respect
Reject the anthropocentric
Falsehood that maintains the oppressive hierarchy of mankind
Over the animals. It's time to set them free. Their lives
Reduced to biomachines in the factory, farm and laboratory
Dairy, eggs and meat, fur, suede, wool, leather are the end
Products of torture, confinement and murder
I abjure their use out of reverence for all innocent life
Wildlifes' right to
Live in peace in their natural environment
Without this civilization's interference can no longer be denied
Must no longer be denied
To make a civilization worthy of the word civilized the cruelty must end
Starting within or own lives. Reject the
Anthropocentric falsehood that maintains the oppressive hierarchy
Of mankind over the animals. It's time to set them free
Veganism is the essence of compassion and peaceful living
The animals are not ours to abuse or dominate. I abjure their use
Out of reverence ... I abjure their use out of reverence ...

I abjure their use out of reverence for all innocent life

The name of the band, Earth Crisis, indicates how their members see the current state of the planet and in their lyrics they seek to offer solutions to it; these are either "educational" or encourage direct-action. Most of them focus on rejection of recreational drugs, animal products, animal testing, industrial livestock production, illegal drug trade and an impending earth's doom caused by wars or an ecological collapse. On the other hand, they promote straight edge, veganism, self-empowerment and organizations such as Earth First!, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and the Animal Liberation Front. In the words of the academic Jonathan Pieslak, some of their lyrics "read like passages" taken from "direct-action essays" of these institutions. Other subjects include criticism against white supremacy and, especially on Breed the Killers, oppressive governments. 2000's record Slither incorporated more topical issues, including genetic engineering and second amendment rights. Their seventh and eighth albums, Neutralize the Threat and Salvation of Innocents, are concept albums entirely dedicated to real-life vigilantes and animal rights/anti-vivisection, respectively. The albums All Out War, Gomorrah's Season Ends and Breed the Killers included essays that delve into their lyrics and beliefs.

In a 1998 interview with Roadrunner Records, Karl Buechner described Earth Crisis' philosophy: "I want to boil it down to one notion: personal accountability. Respect for yourself, respect for the lives of innocent beings around us." He added that "Just being drug-free doesn't make you a good person, you need to use that clarity of the mind to become actively involved in the struggle that is being waged for earth, human and animal liberation." Their message disjoined from the "posicore" attitudes in its advocation for violent direct action. However, they believe that it must be used only as a last resort: "destruction and violence are the last thing I want to see but tragically, they are sometimes necessary. We place so far greater value on the lives of the innocent beings than any type of worth that could be put upon someone who's sadistic or greedy and doesn't want to change their profit system", said Buechner.

The band cited authors Peter Singer, John Robbins and Huey P. Newton as inspirations. In their live shows, there is usually literature about PETA, Greenpeace and others distributed. They have been longtime supporters for organizations such as the Animal Defense League, having done several benefit concerts for them.

"Radioactivity" by Kraftwerk, album "Radio-Activity" (1975), remix (1991)

Lyrically, the 1975 version of the song plays upon the meaning of its title, with the line "Discovered by Madame Curie (In fact, Natural radioactivity was discovered by Henri Becquerel (and independently by Silvanus Thompson); induced radioactivity by Irène Joliot-Curie, Marie Curie's daughter. Curie coined the term "radioactivity").

The song was re-recorded as a radically different version for The Mix album in 1991 and was issued as a single in an edited form with remixes by François Kevorkian and William Orbit. While the original does not offer a value judgement on the safety of radioactivity, the 1991 version drops all references to radio and incorporates additional lyrics with a pointed anti-nuclear theme, remaking the central lyrical hook as "stop radioactivity" and also referring to "contaminated population" and mentioning by name Chernobyl, Harrisburg (Three Mile Island), Sellafield and Hiroshima.

The band performed the Mix version at the "Stop Sellafield" concert in 1992. The song was performed during Kraftwerk's set at Coachella to commemorate the anniversary of the Chernobyl incident on April 26 (the date of the band's performance). Live versions of "Radioactivity" feature on both English and German versions of the band's 2005 live album Minimum-Maximum.

In 2012, Kraftwerk performed the new remix of "Radioactivity" during No Nukes 2012, held in Japan. To commemorate the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, Hütter sang alternate lyrics to the song in Japanese, at one point even name checking Fukushima. This version of the song also has notable lyric changes such as "Chernobyl, Harrisburg, Sellafield, Fukushima". This altered version of the song is also the version Kraftwerk performs live to this day, albeit with the second chorus switching back to the English or German lyrics sung on the Mix version, depending on where they perform. "April 2031" by Warrant, album: Dog Eat Dog (1992)

They say the sky used to be blue
I don't quite believe it
It's probably always been the color that it is
And there were cotton candy clouds
And birds to fly through it
Just stories we all love to tell our kids

So I'll close my electronic door
And keep the cold outside
And hug my aluminium pillow
Oh so tight
And pray the radiation doesn't
Make me sick tonight

They say there used to be wind
That wasn't caused by fans
I wonder how it would have felt in my hair
And the nuclear ring
Around the Moon was caused by man
If it was, then it's much to late to care

So I'll put my safety goggles on
And gaze out at the sun
As the artificial atmosphere machines
Give off a constant hum
In a world that's cold and
peaceful April 2031

No more sky and no more trees
April 2031
No more oxygen to breathe
April 2031
No more hate and no more war
April 2031
Nothing left worth fighting for
April 2031

As far back as Vietnam
We should have learned our lessons
But we closed our eyes
And sent our sons away
And they told us we were winning
As they sold more ammunition

Some were angry most just looked the other way
And the night's illuminated
By the endless glowing sand
That swallowed all the oceans
And choked off all the land
In a world beyond resuscitation
Even by God's hand

No more mountains no more sea
April 2031
No more you and no more me
April 2031
No more music no more songs
April 2031
No God left to blame it on
April 2031
No more children playing
April 2031
No more need for praying
April 2031

a post-apocalyptic song after a nuclear warfare. 1992-2017 we thought that this threat was on its way to dissapearance, but american people elected a person that declares to bring back this nightmare again.

Ecocide by Earth crisis, EP “All Out War” (1992)

Silenced in the roar of the flames.
After the screams of the dying, nothing remains.
Desecrated, slashed, burned to The ground.
In the frenzy of greed, cries of protest are drowned.
The Earth dies - Ecocide.

The Earth's forests laid forever To waste.
Thoughts of the future trampled in their haste.
Corporations with their dollar sign focus ravage the Amazon like a Plague of locusts.

Plumes of black smoke ascend into the sky.
A forest of beautiful creatures senselessly die.
Smoking fields Of devastation left in mankind's wake.
With populations left to grow and greed, They justify this rape.

The power of the dollar can't take precedence Over the inevitable detrimental consequence.
The time to react is long overdue from protest to Confrontation by me and by you.

"Mother Earth Crying" by Baron, album: Soca Uprising (1994)

In the beginning by the sixth day morning
The whole creation was given birth
And then God made man and gave him dominion
Over every living creature on the earth
Tragedy in the garden, we all know whey happen
Shamefully banished from Eden
We witness the first Paradise lost
And since then is Mother Earth who end up paying the cost
That's why I'm begging

Mother Earth is crying, she say to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Mother Earth is dying, we got to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Whole attitude got to change, and priorities rearrange
We got to become more competent
The way we protect the environment
And fight, fight for all that it's worth
Fight to save Mother Earth...oy oy oy
Mother earth crying... oy oy
In case you don't know, the planet Earth dying slow
What a sad way to go.

The ozone layer's depleting
Endless factories belching tons of pollutants in the atmosphere
Rivers and seas can't escape
On Mother Earth, we constantly commit rape
We even planing to strip the Amazon bare
Acid rain on the ------- , species hunted to extinction
A roller coaster ride to self-destruction
Stop mankind from digging a certain grave
We got to get together is Mother Earth we must save
That's why I'm grieving

Mother Earth is crying, she say to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Mother Earth is crying, we got to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Whole attitude got to change, and priorities rearrange
We got to become more competent
The way we protect the environment
And fight, fight for all that it's worth
Fight to save Mother Earth...oy oy oy
Mother earth crying... oy oy
In case you don't know, the planet Earth dying slow
What a sad way to go.

Massive global warming with the sea level rising
Islands and continents like Holland may be no more
As natural resources deplete, people can't find food to eat
Famine for both rich and poor
Impossible you might think, but we tottering on the brink
Next thing you know we become extinct
The cancer we create a Mother Earth sore
And she is going to give up the ghost when she can't take no more...no more

Mother Earth is crying, she say to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Mother Earth is crying, we got to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Whole attitude got to change, and priorities rearrange
We got to become more competent
The way we protect the environment
And fight, fight for all that it's worth
Fight to save Mother Earth...oy oy oy
Mother earth crying... oy oy
In case you don't know, the planet Earth dying slow
What a sad way to go.

Today the things we nurture could determine the future
And pray what would the picture be
See grandson and granddaughter fighting, chaos and disaster
As Mother Earth protest violently
Wake up, wake up people and be part of the struggle!
The planet earth in serious trouble
We got to end this melancholy refrain
We cannot afford to lose Paradise again
That's why I'm pleading

Mother Earth is crying, she say to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Mother Earth is Dying, we got to stop the polluting...oy oy oy
Whole attitude got to change, and priorities rearrange
We got to become more competent
The way we protect the environment
And fight, fight for all that it's worth
Fight to save Mother Earth...oy oy oy
Mother Earth crying... oy
In case you don't know, the planet Earth dying slow
What a sad way to go.

A reggae song that talks about social and environmental issues as a whole. And calls us to change the whole way of thinking and attitudes about development and about our roles, towards Mother Earth...

a happy hour song taht has nothing to do with political, social or ecological awareness. It calls us to have a good time singing and watching movies promoting escapism from our great concerns. Yes, but some verses seems to act reversely ans keep us in mind of some serious issues that destroy societies, environment and lives far from us. Lets make the thing clearer by reading the following lyrics analysis, taken from HERE:

To understand the song, one must understand the Indian movie industry. Ever since cinema was introduced to India, most commercial movies have been heavy, sweet, musical productions. The song-and-dance interludes are not incidentals, but staples, and often are what make or break a movie. An American friend of mine was under the impression that singing was a necessary skill for Indian actors and actresses! Actually, the singing is almost always done by background singers. The background singers, of course, are not required to possess charisma or looks, and in fact in early times, care was taken to not expose them in the media, to preserve the romantic association with their voices in the minds of the moviegoing public.

Why is all this so important? Right from the beginning, movies took over the hearts and lives of common Indians in a manner that nothing has done before or since. The happiness, the tragedy, the passionate and tender love, and the conflict are all designed to speak to the melodrama-loving Indian heart. As Hindi grew more popular, Hindi movies took over the whole country. The heart of the Hindi film industry in Bombay, whimsically nicknamed Bollywood, eventually became a force larger than the one it was named after. The songs are no exception, and over the last sixty years or so filmi music, as it is called, has become by far the most popular kind in India.

Two female background singers perhaps distinguish themselves from the rest in sheer prolificness and popularity: Asha Bhonsle and Lata Mangeshkar. The two, as it happens, are sisters, and recently there has been much focus on their professional and sibling rivalry. At any rate, their singing formed the emotional soundtrack of India, as it were, for many years.

And now lets go to the part of the verses of the song that concen us:
The movies and songs are an escape: they are what allow people to forget important concerns, at least for a while. The reference to dams might need a bit of explanation. In India, these often are unnecessarily huge and costly projects that are designed that way with the aim of being points of prestige, and besides, for lining the pockets of politicians and contractors. They displace thousands of people and impact the environment in massive ways. The project currently approved on the Narmada is one present-day example. So these are issues that people should be worried about.

But this escapism is not presented as being bad. The spirit of the song is that movie fantasy is a lovely and comfortable thing.

"Ark of Suffering" by Tourniquet, album: Stop the Bleeding (1990)

You think it's alright to destroy God's creation
They don't have a voice so who cares how we're treating them here
If you read His word you should know that he blessed them
I know your defense is to say "God said dominate them"

Do you think dominate means to kill just for sport
Wear the fur from their backs
Train them for circus acts
Take our pets to be gassed once their "cute" age is passed

Don't you see in their eyes how they trust us
But man in his sin turns that trust into horrible pain
When God says to man give account of your life's work
We must be prepared to reply "Your creation I loved"

Locked behind steel cage
Forced to take drugs we've made
Cut them up just to show
What we already know

Before they die...
Who will hear them cry

We read in wikipedia about this song:

"Ark of Suffering" is a song, widely known for its stance on animal abuse and the music video which contained graphic material on the subject.

"Ark of Suffering" is about man's responsibility for taking care of animals. The song takes a Biblical point of view on the subject, implying how God has given man the right to dominate the creatures in the world, but has to answer for his wrongings for God. The lyrics point out several examples of animal abuse such as canned hunts, raising them to only to be made for fur and leather coats, circus training, taking animals as pets and abandoning them once they are no longer young, laboratory tests, locking in cages in meat houses, and cutting them for educational purposes.

According to the liner notes of the album, Ted Kirkpatrick felt strongly about the subject, and has written: "How could I convey my anger and sadness over the horrific world of animal abuse? writing "Ark of Suffering" was a very cathartic experience for me. I know it has opened many people's eyes to a part of our world that very few people get to see, much less want to see."

"Save the Planet" by White Skull, Album: I won't burn alone (1995)

Look at the sky now can your richness buy it all ?
There's no price you can state or politicians to pay
No million dollars spent
And I raise my head and
Look for happiness but

I can't start I can't stop
I can't go I can't walk
War is all around.

You see you're living in wellness and freedom now
But you think at once it will change
All around leaving you astray
And you raise your head and
Look for happiness but

I can't start I can't stop
I can't go I can't walk
War is all around.

"planet earth is calling all of us
Have you ever heard her pray ?
We will be living through ruins
We won't survive ".

You think it's all dirty and nothing means
So you cry something and try to find a new reality
I know I know your fears
You got you got your tears
But i've got an illusion 'cause i wanna
Reach the sky and
Get real high.

Time slowly pass by and it's all the same
The rich get rich the poor get poor and that's the way
I know iknow your fears
You got you got your tears
But i've got an illusion 'cause i wanna
Reach that blue sky
And get real high
Whatcha feel today

First it appeared in their demo "Save the planet" in 1994. Its about the awareness that we must not feel safe in our today wealth, because it is based on nature's exploitation, and quickly we'll face poverty and devastation.

“Guerrero Del Arco Iris” by Rata Blanca, album: Guerrero Del Arco Iris (1992)

Sufriendo nuestra inconsciencia
Tal vez pueda morir
La tierra hoy se desangra
Que harás sin su existir...

Ayúdame, tu ser también
Es de este mundo
Tus hijos no podrán vivir
Entre el dolor...

Peleemos contra los tontos
Que harán nuestro final
La vida la da esta tierra
No hay otro lugar.

Ayúdame, tu ser también
Es de este mundo
Tus hijos no podrán vivir
Entre el dolor...

Guerrero sólo tu puedes
Ganar con la verdad
Luchemos por los que vienen
Por ver felicidad.

Ayúdame, tu ser también
Es de este mundo
Tus hijos no podrán vivir
Entre el dolor...

Translation in English:

Rainbow warrior

Suffering our unconsciousness
Maybe I can die
The land today is bleeding
Will you do without your exist ...

Help me, your being too
It is of this world
Your children can not live
Between the pain ...

Fight with the fools
That will make our final
The earth gives life
Nowhere else.

Help me, your being too
It is of this world
Your children can not live
Between the pain ...

Warrior only you can
Winning with the truth
Fight for those who come
To see happiness.

Help me, your being too
It is of this world
Your children can not live
Between the pain ...

"Polluted" by Grief, Album: Torso (1998)

if there´s life in outer space
take me away from this place
beam me up - i´ll volunteer
it can´t be much worse than here
watching your back all the time
every single minute - crime.
raping, murder, stealing, fraud
church is a scam - so is god.

polluted souls
polluted minds
polluted beings -

we´re called mankind
the earth is fucked
every one´s corrupt
the system and the government SUCK

A quite depressive and pessimistic song about all evils that pollute mankind, including environmental pollution. So much pain and disapointment expressed in few verses, but intensified through their successful doom mucis style.

“We Are Not Separate” by Kamelot, Album: Dominion (1996)

LAUNCH THE SILVER SPEAR
THE WORLD WILL CRY A TEAR
IN THE HEAVENS WILL APPEAR ANOTHER ANGEL

HEAR THE ELDERS CRY
WAITING FOR THEIR TIME
AS THEY LOOK TOWARDS THE HEAVENS
WHY WON'T THEY ANSWER?

WE ARE PLAYING WITH NATURE
SPLITTING THE ATOM
CONFUSING RELIGIONS
KILLING THE MASSES

WE ARE NOT SEPARATE FROM WHAT WE DESTROY
TIME HAS COME FOR US TO MAKE THE ONLY CHOICE
WE ARE NOT SEPARATE FROM WHAT WE DESTROY
TIME HAS COME FOR US TO MAKE THE ONLY CHOICE

WE RAPE FOR OUR POWER
NOT CARING FOR LIFE
WE TARNISH OUR WATERS
'TIL THEY ARE AS BLACK AS NIGHT

WE VISUALIZE THE FUTURE
WITH THE EYES OF THE BLIND
WE HEAR NATURE CALLING
BUT WE STILL DENY

WE ARE NOT SEPARATE FROM WHAT WE DESTROY
TIME HAS COME FOR US TO MAKE THE ONLY CHOICE

Another song accusation of the hostile human attitude towards environment and the realization of our unity with nature.

"Theatric Symbolization Of Life" by Agathocles (1992)

Mutilated Regurgitator

There is an animal
With mutilated guts
Caused by vivisection
But now escaped and MAD

And this animal
It is coming back
To crush all companies
Which support such acts

The Accident

It was August '87
And the butchers were working
In the bloody slaughterhouse
They killed so many animals
To satisfy your lusts
Some vegans want revenge
I think we know so
Well, what do you think of this?
The wife of the butcher
She suddenly pushed out
And this meant her death
'Coz she got impaled on a fleshhookk

The hook grinded her throat
And then it found its way
Thru her mouth, to the brains
Oh god, she bled to death

Well ya vegans
Are you satisfied now?
Not that we are against you
'Coz we are vegeterians
But some of you vegans
Think they are more than us
That attitude sucks
Why do you ignore people
Who chose to eat meat
That's their choice
Some of them do care about animals
Doesn't that count anymore?

Forced Pollution

Produced poison
That's in the air
We breathe
So it's in our blood

Maggots'll bite
Our guts to shreds
We are sure that
Death shall rise

Forced pollution
Punishment of mankind
Forced pollution
Until death do us part

One by one
Our bowels burst
And our body
Will be filled with pus

No-one can help
'Coz we are rotting
And that's our fault
So enjoy the decay

Consuming Endoderme Pus

Animal slaughter, it continues all the time
The meat-industry is growing
But I'll tell you, what I'll do you to you
You, ignorant consumers!!

I'll undo you from your skull
Consume yer endoderme pus
I'll eat the maggots meal
By chewing on your corpse

I'll tear open yer thorax
Wind up yer innards
To feed my hungry stomach
And to stop yer filthy greed

Songs by Agathocles about pollution, torture and maltreatment of animals in experiments, abattoirs in a consuming meat society. We think that the major problem is the industrialization of stockbreeding where they breed animals in very bad conditions and used them as "res" and not respect them as living creatures. If animals live happy lives as their biological structure imposes, and if we eat meet not as a basic but as a supplementary food, there'll be no such an immoral attitude towards animal lives. Humans eat meat through the ages from primitive times up today, also primates eat not only fruits and roots, but also small mammals, reptiles, etc. The respect of the victim we use as food is what is lost, its eternal torture as "res" not its suden death after a happy anomal life.

As we notify in older posts, the vivisection is a completely useless practice, non-scientific and sometimes dangerous when extrapolating conclusions to humans. For more details follow the next links:

"Gaia" by Tiamat, Album: Wildhoney (1994)

A new serum eradicates the illness
An old man rises from his wheelchair
When suffering unknown attacks the painless
And common animals are becoming rare

As water spins in circles twice
Spiders, snakes and the little mice
Get twisted around and tumble down
When Nature calls we all shall drown

If the earth is dying of a growing thirst
Rain shall fall on dried out soil
And every kind of bud shall burst
A sough of relief to insects - turmoil

As water spins in circles twice
Spiders, snakes and the little mice
Get twisted around and tumble down
When Nature calls we all shall drown

A realization of the power of Nature, a paganistic perception of natute when humans have no technological power and materialistic perceptions of nature. If we keep on living under such perceptions probably we won't reach to this point of selfdestruction. A personification of nature as powerfull Mother Gaia was an effective factor of selfrestriction to the human power and arrogance in the past. On the contrary, a disenchanted and reduced to material perception of nature has led to the predatory and non sustainable exploitation that thrreatens us all with pollution and climate changing. Reason was not always the better consultant per se!

"Sacrament Of Wilderness" by Nightwish, album: Oceanborn (1998)

Naked in midwinter magic
Lies an angel in the snow
- The frozen figure crossed by tracks of wolves
An encounter, symbolic, yet truthful
With a hungry choir of woods
An agreement immemorial to be born

Dulcet elvenharps from a dryad forest
Accompany all charming tunes
of a sacrament by a campfire
A promise between the tameless
and the one with a tool
Tonight the journey from cave begins

I want to hunt with the tameless
I want to learn the wisdom of mountains afar
we will honor the angel in the snow
We will make the streams for our children flow

Wrapped in furs beneath the northern lights
From my cave I watch the land untamed
And wonder if some becoming season
will make the angel melt in shame

A visionary represantation of nature and wildereness in the past. In the end there is anxiety about the future of this natural balance that make the angel of nature melt in shame

Stratovarius, album: Visions, 1997

Paradise

Late at night I find myself again wondering and watching TV.
I can't believe what's on the screen, something that I wouldn't care to see.
Many rare species will perish soon and we'll be short on food.
Why do we have to be so selfish, we've got to change our attitude.
I know that I am no the only one that's worried,
why don't we all wake up, and realize.
Like the birds in the sky we are flying so high,
without making any kind of sacrifice.
We've got so little time to undo this crime or we'll lose our Paradise.
It seems to me that there's no sense at all, nobody cares it's always the same.
Mother nature's crying out in pain I know we're the one's to blame.

Visions

I have seen the future of mankind,
The wisdom of my prophecies you'll find.
Follow the truth and be careful, are we the last?

Hundred years has passed what have we done,
Inconceivable damage under the sun.
I think it's too late to change the man - we are the last.

The world keeps turning while people yearn for more,
Mother nature is crying for change,
The time will come when we all must pay for what we have done,
Are you prepared for that?

As we are reaching the end of the century
There's message we can send,
Be strong and bold and never lose your mind
'cause we are the last.

The world keeps turning while people yearn for more,
Mother nature is crying for change,
the time will come when we all must pay for what we have done,
Are you prepared for that?

Signs of the end I see,
Let them hear my voice in every corner of the world,
Take heed of the warnings that I give,
I have seen the Southern Cross forming in the sky.

"There shall be heard in the air the noise of weapons
and in the same year the divines shall be enemies.
They shall unjustly put down the holy laws
and by thunder and war, true believers shall die"
[Nostradamus: Century I V:43]

"For forty years the rainbow shall not appear
For forty years it shall be seen every day
The parched earth shall wax drier every day
And a great flood when it shall appear"
[Nostradamus: Century I:17]

After us the road goes on forever
Many changes lie along the path
That's the price we pay for our selfishness
We are headed for the end

"From the skies shall come the powerful kind
Before and after the Mars reigns at will
Not far from the great age of Millennium
Buried ones shall come out of their graves"
[Nostradamus: Century X:72, 74]

When the comet tears out the sky
You and I must die
After all this the time will come for the chosen ones
To rise from their graves to be free again

The beast is gone forever, there's no more pain
Instead so many things for us to attain
The sun is shining brightly after the rain
The land is green and full of life again

The sorrows wiped away now
It's time to smile
And learn from the past
Together we will try

"Twenty years of reign of the moon having past
Seven thousand years another shall hold his monarchy
When the sun shall resume his days past
Then is fulfilled and ends my prophecy"
[Nostradamus: Century I:48]

A wonder about people's ignorance for their destructive activities at the expense of nature and their consequent uncertain future.

IN MEMORY: "Earth Song" by Michael Jackson, album: History: Past, Present and Future, Book I (1995)

From Wikipedia:
On the morning of June 25, 2009, Jackson reportedly collapsed at a rented home in Holmby Hills in Los Angeles. After he collapsed, Jackson's personal physician, who was with him at the time, attempted to resuscitate him. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a 911 call at 12:21 pm (PST) and arrived nine minutes later. Jackson was reportedly not breathing and CPR was quickly performed.

Resuscitation efforts continued both en route to the UCLA Medical Center, and after arrival at approximately 1:14 pm (20:14 UTC), for a further hour. He fell into a coma and died shortly after arrival. The cause of death is as yet unknown, but he was noted to be already in cardiac arrest by the paramedics who attended him. Jackson was pronounced dead at about 2:26 pm local time (21:26 UTC).

Los Angeles Police Department homicide and robbery division detectives attended the scene as a matter of routine in high profile death cases. The case was transferred to the Los Angeles coroner for investigation as there was no doctor in attendance to sign the death certificate. Jackson's body was transported by helicopter from UCLA to the LA Coroners offices. The autopsy is said to be scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2009.

Prior to his death, Jackson had been scheduled to perform 50 sold-out concerts to over one million people, at London's O2 arena, from July 13, 2009 to March 6, 2010. During a publicity press conference, Jackson made suggestions of possible retirement.

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain...
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about apathy
(What about us)
I need you
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo, ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about babies
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

We read about this beautiful song in wikipedia:

"Earth Song" is the third single from Michael Jackson's album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I. It is a ballad that incorporates elements of blues, gospel and opera. Jackson had a long-standing history of releasing socially conscious material such as "We Are the World", "Man in the Mirror" and "Heal the World". However, "Earth Song" was the first that overtly dealt with the environment and animal welfare.

"Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson (1988)

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere To Go
That's Why I Want You To Know

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And Then Make A Change)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make A Change)

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Change His Ways-Ooh!)
And No Message Could've Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make That . . .
(Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make That . . .)
Change!

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror,
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
(If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place)
(Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make The Change)
(You Gotta Get It Right, While You Got The Time)
('Cause When You Close Your Heart)
You Can't Close Your . . .Your Mind!
(Then You Close Your . . . Mind!)

With That Man In The Mirror
(Man In The Mirror, Oh Yeah!)
That Man, That Man, That Man
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
(Better Change!)
You Know . . .That Man
No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself And Then Make A Change

A call to reject our selfish way of life and see the misery around us. It’s the only way for a better world.

"Heal The World" by Michael Jackson, Album: Dangerous (1991)

There's A Place In Your Heart
And I Know That It Is Love
And This Place Could Be Much
Brighter Than Tomorrow
And If You Really Try
You'll Find There's No Need To Cry
In This Place You'll Feel
There's No Hurt Or Sorrow

There Are Ways To Get There
If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Little Space
Make A Better Place...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me

If You Want To Know Why
There's A Love That Cannot Lie
Love Is Strong
It Only Cares For Joyful Giving
If We Try
We Shall See
In This Bliss
We Cannot Feel
Fear Or Dread
We Stop Existing And Start Living

Then It Feels That Always
Love's Enough For Us Growing
So Make A Better World
Make A Better World...

Heal The World
Make It A Better Place
For You And For Me
And The Entire Human Race
There Are People Dying
If You Care Enough For The Living
Make A Better Place
For You And For Me

And The Dream We Were Conceived In
Will Reveal A Joyful Face
And The World We Once Believed In
Will Shine Again In Grace
Then Why Do We Keep Strangling Life
Wound This Earth
Crucify Its Soul
Though It's Plain To See
This World Is Heavenly
Be God's Glow

We Could Fly So High
Let Our Spirits Never Die
In My Heart
I Feel You Are All My Brothers
Create A World With No Fear
Together We'll Cry
Happy Tears
See The Nations Turn Their Swords
Into Plowshares

We Could Really Get There
If You Cared Enough For The Living
Make A Little Space
To Make A Better Place...

With the same thematology as “Man in the Mirror”, Heal the world” is focused on world children’s poverty and famine. We read in wikipedia:

In a 2001 Internet chat with fans, Jackson said "Heal the World" is the song he is most proud to have created. He also created the Heal the World Foundation, a charitable organization which was designed to improve the lives of children. The organization was also meant to teach said children about how to help others. This concept of 'betterment for all' would become a centerpiece for the Dangerous World Tour. In the documentary Living with Michael Jackson, Jackson said he created the song in his "giving tree" at the Neverland Ranch.

«...And the Earth Shall be Holy» by Ragnarok (UK), album: To Mend The Oaken Heart (1996)

Tears for the sunrise, witness of the dawn,
awakens the sleeper from his rest, still and warm.
Alone he greets the morning, blinks the light from his eyes,
turns his face from the vision, to the gods he cries,
"Why have you forsaken me enslaved to the unknown?
These years of savage plague have left me scarred like ancient stone".

Nerthus, Nerthus I cry for thee, mine eyes burn, sorrows grieve.
The holy fires of Hel have never crimsoned such as these.
Gods of death fathered the children, see them rise.
Midst the paling corn, the priest dances deiseil no more.
The scythe is raised, it can only fall.

Witness of the morning wipe thy moisty eyes.
Tis time no more for grieving, time for gods to rise.
The corn grows pale and yellow, scythe is honed and sharp,
Hunting-moon will waxen as the days grow dark.
Now the quick must fall as leaves drop silently from trees,
and, cold and still, push up their mounds into the Autumn breeze.

Mankind, mankind I cry for thee, mine eyes burn, sorrows grieve.
The holy fires of Hel have never crimsoned such as these.
Gods of death fathered the children, see them rise.
Midst the paling corn, the priest dances deiseil no more.
The scythe is raised, it can only fall.

With plaited limbs of golden stalks, the ben holds the spirit of the corn.
Awaits the Spring, her naked body stripped of emerald, buried, shall be reborn.

With golden spears and plumed heads, the master race believed invincible,
but gold must bend before the scythe or else to break, to fall so cold and still.

And the Earth shall be holy once more.

Waiting the season in endless time, I've seen the sunrise and She was mine.
No more confusion, darkness brings light; gods are awakened, now they will fight.
Mankind warned so many times by vision, word and deed.
As corn you grew so tall and strong, but now you've gone to seed.

Abred, Abred I cry for thee, mine eyes burn, sorrows grieve.
The holy fires of Hel have never crimsoned such as these.
Gods of death fathered the children, see them rise.
Midst the paling corn, the priest dances deiseil no more.
The scythe is raised, it can only fall.
