"Amazonia" by Gojira, album "Fortitude" (2021)

Incite a riot, put yourself in a trance

You rotate the frame in a world you rely on

A scar, a line has been drawn in the sand

Behold the life, the boundaries fools will crush

The greatest miracle

Is burning to the ground

Onto the next stage of the plan

Mourn the witness of the wind

A handful of thunder

Will rise one last time

There's fire in the sky

You're in the Amazon

The greatest miracle

Is burning to the ground

Godly Amazonia

Bloody Amazonia

Mighty Amazonia

Killing Amazonia

A song about the destruction of Amazon rainforest and indigenous tribes. The band established a month-long fundraiser for Brazilian indigenous rights charity Articulation of Indigenous People of Brazil (APIB).

"Age of Machine" by Greta Van Fleet, album "The Battle at Garden's Gate" (2021)

Perfect child

Plugged in since the womb
Prophet of the dune
In this electric tomb
Man has made
An omnipresent force
Heading on a course
For interstellar shores
God machine
Malfunctioned as it grew
And the circuits blew
Falling down on you
Now you're free
Unplug from the source
No more underscores
Open up the doors
Feeling
Oh god, the feeling
We need some healing
We need some healing
God knows if you feel defeated
You have been cheated
You have retreated
Feeling
Oh god, the feeling
We need some healing
We need some healing
God knows if you feel defeated
You have been cheated
You have retreated

Destroying the environment is also a destruction of culture and ourselves, either physically or mentally, our inner selves, reducing us to bare lives or living machines.

"Bleeding Earth" by Grimaze, album "Planet Grimaze" (2018)

Ashamed of my own kind
Before the mountain I'm kneeling
To ask forgiveness
For all the wounds
For all the reckless actions
Why can’t we see
All the tears gathered in the oceans
And this bleeding Earth
We're leaving
For the future children

All this sacred life
Fading away
Why are we taking
Much more than we give

Close your eyes now
Once more choose blindness
Before the answers
Destroying all
That’s real and breathing
Sometimes I dream
Of vicious fire pouring from the stars
And I feel relieved
To see this madness
Coming to an end

All this sacred life
Fading away
Where will we go
When nothing remains

Low we've fallen
But I can only change myself
No way out of this
So I call for waves
To come wash us away
I wanna see it all crumble
Nothing of this world
Can harm me
Cause what is real
Can never be killed

"Tears Of Nature" by Insania, album: Sunrise in Riverland (2001)

Inner feelings: Anger in vain. I can't take anymore. No one needs to tell me what I'm fighting for. From thunder to sunshine, From sunset 'til dawn, What the hell is going on? Is this world about to lose control? [Bridge:] At least I know that I've been trying. But still our paradise is dying. And i've seen it so many times, mankind must be blind. Destroying and killing the nature in pain. Was my tears for them in vain? -tell me no!!! Still pollutions pond and dust: Nature bleeds everywhere. Why ain't mankind smart enough to feel my fear? My voice is the thunder, my breath is the wind, my tears are falling as rain. Why ain't mankind smart enough to feel the same? [Bridge:] At least I know that I've been trying. But still our paradise is dying. [Rep. Chorus] "Why do we have to destroy what God and the nature have given. Why do we have to destroy what was meant to be our paradise. I thought mankind was smart enough to understand that we were brought into this world for one reason: To rule the earth and to be the head of a body called " nature". Maybe the storms, the great fires and the earthquakes are just another way to punish us. And I believe - That's just what we deserve!"

"Paradise (What about us)" by Within Temptation, album: Hydra (2014)

There's no sense The fire burns When wisdom fails, it changes all The wheel embodies all that keeps on turning Blood red skies, I feel so cold No innocence, we play our role The wheel embodies all, where are we going? All in all you'd expect the wise to be wiser Fallen from grace all and all I guess We should have known better 'cause [Chorus:] What about us, Isn't it enough? No we're not in paradise This is who we are This is what we've got No, it's not our paradise But it's all we want And it's all that we're fighting for Though it's not paradise You and us Or I and them There comes a time To take a stand The wheel is watching all that keeps on burning The venom works It's like a curse A Trojan horse When will we learn The wheel embodies all that keeps returning All in all you'd expect the wise to be wiser Fallen from grace all and all I guess We should have known better 'cause... [Chorus:] What about us, Isn't it enough? No we're not in paradise This is who we are This is what we've got No, it's not our paradise But it's all we want And it's all that we're fighting for What about us, Isn't it enough? No we're not in paradise This is who we are This is what we've got No, it's not our paradise But it's all we want And it's all that we're fighting for But it's not paradise What about us, what about us, what about us, isn't it enough?

The song seems to refer to the unwise human actions that brings destruction of nature and unhappiness and distress to them. The video clip supports such an interpretetion, as we read in wikipedia:

In a post-apocalyptic wasteland in consequence of a nuclear war, two people are seen in heavy protective gear walking through various parts of a ruined civilization, searching for what appears to be parts of a machine. Once the parts are found, they eventually drag the pieces up a sandy slope, where they activate a bigger machine by assembling the smaller parts, sending a big beam of light to the skies causing rain to fall. As the wasteland begins to show some signs of life, the two characters remove their headgear, and are revealed to be two young girls.

Some time later, a rich jungle is seen as Tarja and Sharon, implied to be the girls grown up, sing on the same sandy slope. They leave and the red light on the machine goes out, alluding to something unknown.

"Deforestation" by Culture, album "Heteronome" (1997)

Deforestation leads to extinction...
Another land laid to waste, species die, forest falls.
Endless fires consume all life, nature dies while demons dine.
Sky grows black, blood runs red.
End of life, no more compromise.

Sky grows black, blood runs red.
End of life, no more compromise.

This world is hell, I must escape this living hell.
This world is fucking hell.

Forest Falls.....

"Destroy the Machines" by Earth Crisis (1995)

"Inherit the Wasteland"

Destroyed in the hands of the deranged
Mankind's will has been imposed upon the earth as though we
Were alone and if our actions had no consequences
Man crushes all that bars the way on this path to annihilation
Taking for themselves while the other inhabitant's
Lives are given no consideration
Inherit the wasteland! Spilled oil contaminates the sea
Inherit the wasteland! Poisons fill the atmosphere
Inherit the wasteland! Toxins infect the ground. Inherit the
Wasteland! Deforestation scars the earth
The rainforests burn. Countless animals die
We must regain control or there will
Be nothing left to save. The harmony of nature
Twisted into dischordance. Left to die in the aftermath of their destructive
Sightlessness. Time is running, time is running
Time is running ... Time is running out

"New Ethic"

This is the new ethic
Animals' lives are their own and must be given respect
Reject the anthropocentric
Falsehood that maintains the oppressive hierarchy of mankind
Over the animals. It's time to set them free. Their lives
Reduced to biomachines in the factory, farm and laboratory
Dairy, eggs and meat, fur, suede, wool, leather are the end
Products of torture, confinement and murder
I abjure their use out of reverence for all innocent life
Wildlifes' right to
Live in peace in their natural environment
Without this civilization's interference can no longer be denied
Must no longer be denied
To make a civilization worthy of the word civilized the cruelty must end
Starting within or own lives. Reject the
Anthropocentric falsehood that maintains the oppressive hierarchy
Of mankind over the animals. It's time to set them free
Veganism is the essence of compassion and peaceful living
The animals are not ours to abuse or dominate. I abjure their use
Out of reverence ... I abjure their use out of reverence ...

I abjure their use out of reverence for all innocent life

The name of the band, Earth Crisis, indicates how their members see the current state of the planet and in their lyrics they seek to offer solutions to it; these are either "educational" or encourage direct-action. Most of them focus on rejection of recreational drugs, animal products, animal testing, industrial livestock production, illegal drug trade and an impending earth's doom caused by wars or an ecological collapse. On the other hand, they promote straight edge, veganism, self-empowerment and organizations such as Earth First!, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and the Animal Liberation Front. In the words of the academic Jonathan Pieslak, some of their lyrics "read like passages" taken from "direct-action essays" of these institutions. Other subjects include criticism against white supremacy and, especially on Breed the Killers, oppressive governments. 2000's record Slither incorporated more topical issues, including genetic engineering and second amendment rights. Their seventh and eighth albums, Neutralize the Threat and Salvation of Innocents, are concept albums entirely dedicated to real-life vigilantes and animal rights/anti-vivisection, respectively. The albums All Out War, Gomorrah's Season Ends and Breed the Killers included essays that delve into their lyrics and beliefs.

In a 1998 interview with Roadrunner Records, Karl Buechner described Earth Crisis' philosophy: "I want to boil it down to one notion: personal accountability. Respect for yourself, respect for the lives of innocent beings around us." He added that "Just being drug-free doesn't make you a good person, you need to use that clarity of the mind to become actively involved in the struggle that is being waged for earth, human and animal liberation." Their message disjoined from the "posicore" attitudes in its advocation for violent direct action. However, they believe that it must be used only as a last resort: "destruction and violence are the last thing I want to see but tragically, they are sometimes necessary. We place so far greater value on the lives of the innocent beings than any type of worth that could be put upon someone who's sadistic or greedy and doesn't want to change their profit system", said Buechner.

The band cited authors Peter Singer, John Robbins and Huey P. Newton as inspirations. In their live shows, there is usually literature about PETA, Greenpeace and others distributed. They have been longtime supporters for organizations such as the Animal Defense League, having done several benefit concerts for them.

"April 2031" by Warrant, album: Dog Eat Dog (1992)

They say the sky used to be blue
I don't quite believe it
It's probably always been the color that it is
And there were cotton candy clouds
And birds to fly through it
Just stories we all love to tell our kids

So I'll close my electronic door
And keep the cold outside
And hug my aluminium pillow
Oh so tight
And pray the radiation doesn't
Make me sick tonight

They say there used to be wind
That wasn't caused by fans
I wonder how it would have felt in my hair
And the nuclear ring
Around the Moon was caused by man
If it was, then it's much to late to care

So I'll put my safety goggles on
And gaze out at the sun
As the artificial atmosphere machines
Give off a constant hum
In a world that's cold and
peaceful April 2031

No more sky and no more trees
April 2031
No more oxygen to breathe
April 2031
No more hate and no more war
April 2031
Nothing left worth fighting for
April 2031

As far back as Vietnam
We should have learned our lessons
But we closed our eyes
And sent our sons away
And they told us we were winning
As they sold more ammunition

Some were angry most just looked the other way
And the night's illuminated
By the endless glowing sand
That swallowed all the oceans
And choked off all the land
In a world beyond resuscitation
Even by God's hand

No more mountains no more sea
April 2031
No more you and no more me
April 2031
No more music no more songs
April 2031
No God left to blame it on
April 2031
No more children playing
April 2031
No more need for praying
April 2031

a post-apocalyptic song after a nuclear warfare. 1992-2017 we thought that this threat was on its way to dissapearance, but american people elected a person that declares to bring back this nightmare again.

"Hunters Will Be Hunted" by Heaven shall burn , album: VETO (2013)

This is the end of all endurance,

No mercy for assasins
Violence against violence
And hunters will be hunted
Until the slaughter ceased to be
Believe me, you'll regret your deeds
We took a stand and won't retreat
Until their malice ceased to be
Nothing justifies your greed
You will not succeed

You shall regret your felonies

We took a stand and won't retreat
And hunters will be hunted
Until the slaughter ceased to be
Across the open seas, together through the storm
You'll make no creature bleed, nevermore, forevermore

No drawing back, direct actions strike upon you

No compromise, no giving in
Defending those who cannot fight
Justice must prevail
A campaign for relief
Across the open seas, together through the storm
You'll make no creature bleed, nevermore

I looked him straight in the eye

This moment of compassion
I found my mission in life
We send them to the bottom
Forevermore

"Harakiri" by Serj Tankian, album "harakiri" 2012

We're the day birds
Deciding to fly against the sky
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born to die

We're the greying herds
Hurting each other with our lies
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born...
Born to die
Born to die

The drum fish
They beached themselves in Harakiri
The blackbirds
They fell in thousands from the sky
Their red wings
Streaming down from the higher seas
Deflected by the ground
They crowned the sun

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are FREE
When their time was done (Their time was done)
They were drowned by the only one (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are FREE
Washed by the sun

Our statues
The soaring edifice of our times
Detracted from the ways of the wise
The future will view all history as a crime
So father, tell us when is the time to rise

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are FREE
When their time was done (Their time was done)
They were drowned by the only one (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are FREE

We're the day birds
Deciding to fly against the sky
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born to die

We're the greying herds
Hurting each other with our lies
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born...
Born to die

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
When their time was done (Their time was done)
They were drowned by the only one (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
And we believe that they are free
Cause I believe that they are me
Washed by the sun

"The Eye Of The Eagle" by U.D.O., album: "Mission Nº X" (2005)

Mother nature comforts us
Embraces to her breast
Fields of gold and icy plains
We feel her great caress
Cocooned by earthly majesty
A cosmic jewel in time
Surrounded by a giving sun
It's good to be alive
Pasture lands and silver streams
Finger through the land
Magnify the hopes and dreams
Moving living sand
Canyons wind and trembled winds
Mountains touch the sky
It's nature's breath we all depend
It's good to be alive
Oh - the eye of the eagle
Oh - finds it all
Oh - the eye of the eagle
Oh - sees it all
Sounds of silence fill the air
A diamond in your palm
The elements in harmony
Innocent and calm
So stand alone and touch the stars
Heaven will be kind
Feel the love of brotherhood
So good to be alive
Towering woods of dignity
Oceans giving birth
Arose a host of energy
A hail to mother earth
Never blind the eagles' eyes
Keep wind beneath their wings
Living free and soaring high
Good to be alive

"Native Blood" by Testament (2012) album: Dark Roots of Earth

Whenever I stumble, whenever I fall
Whenever I’m pushed against the wall
This white man’s world won’t tell me what to do

Nowhere to run my native blood
I wanna reach and touch the Sun
Blistering my soul but I can’t feel
You hear me say, get out of my way
I’ll do it my own way
Cross my path and get what you deserve

I’m warning this world
To stay out of my way
My voice will be heard
I'm alone
I won’t be afraid
I got something to say
My voice will be heard
So loud
Native blood

Forever proud
So God damn loud
It’s me alone against the crowd
Right or wrong it's the road that I must choose
There’s no excuse
Attitude
Got something here that I must prove
Live to win instead of born to lose

I’m warning this world
To stay out of my way
My voice will be heard
So strong
I won’t be afraid
I got something to say
My voice will be heard
So loud
native blood

I never learned to walk
Before I could crawl
Whenever pushed
I push back
Not afraid to throw the first punch
I’m never wrong cause I’m always right
When I’m wrong, I won’t admit it
Like the person your mother warned you about
They broke the mold after I came out
What gives me strength is my beliefs

Whenever I stumble, whenever I fall
I won’t be pushed against the wall
This white man’s world won’t tell me what to do

Nowhere to run, native blood
I wanna reach and touch the Sun
Blistering my soul but I can’t feel

I’m warning this world
To stay out of my way
My voice will be heard
I'm alone
I won’t be afraid
I got something to say
My voice will be heard
So loud
native blood

I’m warning this world
To stay out of my way
My voice will be heard
So strong
Oh I won’t be afraid
I got something to say
My voice will be heard
So loud
Native blood

My native blood
My native blood
My native blood

"Another Way To Die" by Disturbed, album "Asylum" (2010)

The indulgence of our lives has cast a shadow on our world.
Our devotion to our appetites betrayed us all.
An apocalyptic plight.
More destruction will unfold.
Mother Earth will show her darker side and take her toll.

It's just another way to die.

There can be no other reason why.
You know we should have seen it coming.
Consequences we cannot deny will be revealed in time.
Glaciers melt as we pollute the sky.
A sign of devastation coming.
We don’t need another way to die.
Can we repent in time?

[Pre-chorus:]
The Time bomb is ticking and no one is listening.
Our future is fading.
Is there any hope we’ll survive?

[Chorus:]
Still, we ravage the world that we love.
And the millions cry out to be saved.
Our endless maniacal appetite.
Left us with another way to die.
It's just another way to die.
Can we repent in time?

Greed and hunger led to our demise.
A path I can’t believe we followed.
Black agenda’s rooted in a lie.
Will we repent in time?
Species fall before our very eyes.
A world that they cannot survive in left them with another way to die.
Are we dead inside?

[Pre-chorus]

[Chorus x2]

Can we repent in time?
It's just another way to die.
Can we repent in time?

Another interesting song about the destructive effects of our greedy development. In an interview with The Pulse of Radio, frontman David Draiman explained how the track contains some very timely subject matter: Obviously it's referring to the global catastrophe that we know as global warming, and the effects that it continues to have on our planet; our irresponsibility in doing what we do as species, our constant appetite, our constant consumption at all costs. No matter what is destroyed, no matter what is laid to waste. And, certainly, what's happening in the Gulf now is horrific.

But we think that the videoclip about this song is much more interesting, inclusive and revealing  than the lyrics about the new capitalistic invasion to environment, natural sources and commodities, freedom and self-determination of societies and our survival. Watch it on Youtube

Album: "Owlsa" by Fall of Efrafa (2006)

Pity The Weak

Fell down upon the realm of man

On a scorned mound
We erect another monolith
Buckled under its own ego
Another pillar of content
Another milestone of man

Pity the weak
We cry out in laughter
As trees are felled
How the mighty have fallen
We mock the roots

Parasitic ape;
Spills his black blood
Blotting out the sun
Wither to sallow flesh

Saplings writhe where man is idle
An imperfect genocide

Erected upon weakened ground
Finally gave way

Toppled down. Toppled down

[Explanation:]

we are a flash in the pan in relation to the longevity of life on this planet. when we murder countless lives and tear down countless trees, we feel we control everything. In our arrogance, we are simply pulling our end closer. When the last homo sapien dies, the world will not die with us. We are not a chosen race by some make believe god. We are the first, and hopefully last species to have evolved to the point where we deserve extinction. We are also a species that has the power to change this outcome.

A Soul To Bear

Man built god;
dragged himself upon a pedestal
kicked dirt in the faces of all other life
Crowned himself as deity

What animal separates this ape from that?
The human animal; ignored and loathed by louse and lion

Revel in our glory, in every brother is quarry
Butcher every life, until our land is stained and dead

From our towers we cry "every man shall bear a soul,
a right that no other beast shall bear"

and in the shadows the dogs shook their heads
"shame upon those apes, pride comes before a fall"

[explanation:]

It is obvious to me now that religion was the wedge that drove the human animal away from the rest of the natural world. humanity has a superiority complex, and we can blame religion for this. Religion dictates that animals do not have souls, and therefor only serve two purposes to us - slaves and food. As an atheist, the idea of a soul is a naive explanation for our consciousness, All life is conscious. No life on this planet, or anywhere in the universe for that matter, holds more significance than any other. The universe is a complex yet totally random event - and the outcome of evolution and chance on this planet was man - a subspecies of ape, who took the reigns for the last 45,000 years. And what have we done with that time? raped this world, enslaved each other, butchered countless lives in the name of civilization? intelligent animals that wield our dominance like monsters. We must all begin to understand that all life is equal, and to kill and eat other life when we no longer need to, (where we understand that we can draw all the nutrients we need from plants) - is cruel and unnecessary, and that man made gods do not offer pardons.

No Longer Human

Beneath this skin;
I am not human
I shed this flesh
In the name of shame
I shed this species
In the name of respect
For every life
We have taken from this earth
We are all butchers; plague bearers
The separation of man and beast

Butchers
We are worth nothing
We are owed nothing
We have learnt nothing
The dawn of man bore
witness to this end
silent faces turn callously away
In these eyes; sentience is rife
A cry; a smile - emotion we deny

Liars
We are worth nothing
We are owed nothing
We have learnt nothing
Born unto the hands of man
Divide in death their skin and bone
Throats slit bodies fall numb
This atrocity must come undone

A vegan species forced flesh into its maw
Suffocated on the blood of the dead and wanted more
Eyes outgrew stomachs, bloated with greed
Carnivore only in name, without the need
human kind is a hypocrisy,
compassion quashed with unhealthy need
tell yourself you can stomach their death
your words cast out on their dying breath
and all I can say is that I am sorry for what we have done

It' s a concept album dealing with the arrogance of human beings towards nature and animals. The cause of this arrogance and consequently destructive attitube and barbarism against animals is attributed to religion concepts about human superiority. This band spreads environmentalism and vegetarianism and strong anti-religious ideas.

Ecocide by Earth crisis, EP “All Out War” (1992)

Silenced in the roar of the flames.
After the screams of the dying, nothing remains.
Desecrated, slashed, burned to The ground.
In the frenzy of greed, cries of protest are drowned.
The Earth dies - Ecocide.

The Earth's forests laid forever To waste.
Thoughts of the future trampled in their haste.
Corporations with their dollar sign focus ravage the Amazon like a Plague of locusts.

Plumes of black smoke ascend into the sky.
A forest of beautiful creatures senselessly die.
Smoking fields Of devastation left in mankind's wake.
With populations left to grow and greed, They justify this rape.

The power of the dollar can't take precedence Over the inevitable detrimental consequence.
The time to react is long overdue from protest to Confrontation by me and by you.

Album "Victims of Science" by Gammacide (1989)

Fossilized

Four and a half million years ago
The earth was lifeless and new
Life forms starting to appear
And fossils are the clues

Slowly migrating from the sea
To one day dominate the land
Early reptilians had evolved
Millions of years before man

Unchallenged masters of their world
One hundred forty million year reign
Reptilian gods stalking the earth
Undisturbed primal and serene

Mountains of flesh shaking the ground
Armored like a living tank
While our ancestors rodent-like
Trampled underfoot

Our minds can't conceive the forms of life
That have lived here before us
On the sites where our cities sprawl
Herds grazed and continued to evolve

Man's time on earth is barely a blink
Of the eye of time
Our destination is written in bones
And our predecessors fossilized

No seven day miracle created our world
From the void delivered
We have only just learned to walk
Once we had to slither

Our kind will vanish as did theirs
Leaving only traces entombed
Till those who follow unearth our remains
What will their studies conclude?

Engine of death in its highest form
Carnivore evolved to perfection
Modern predators so insignificant
Up against this tyrant king

What catastrophe fell from the skies
Ending their domination?
Wiped off the face of the earth
Not one survived extinction

Man's time on earth is barely a blink
Of the eye of time
Our destination is written in bones
And our predecessors fossilized

Victim Of Science

Minds conceive weapons to destroy
Chemical cancer created for war
Biological weapons with degenerative effects
An unfortunate fate for life it infects

Mass murder descending in sickly clouds
Victims of Science litter the ground
Stillborn mutants dying at the moment of birth
Weapons of this war poison the earth

Pacifist protest the slaughter must stop
As the environment falls apart
Chemical recall the toxic waste
Safely disposed of in a harmless place

Buried underground, dumped in the sea
Contaminate our bodies gradually
Our chromosomes filled with degradation
Passing on the curse to the next generation

Mass murder descending in sickly clouds
Victims of Science litter the ground
Stillborn mutants dying at the moment of birth
Weapons of this war poison the earth

Life as we know it will soon cease to exist
From this chemical poisoning
We've no cure for it
Nothing shall survive nuclear holocaust
Mankind is doomed
And all life is lost

Mass murder descending in sickly clouds
Victims of Science litter the ground
Stillborn mutants dying at the moment of birth
Weapons of this war poison the earth

Observations

Aerosol damaged ozone layer
Skin cancer cases increase
Human shit, A.I.D.S. tainted blood
Washed up on the beach
Drano snorting, your face contorting
Force your body to accept more
Sweating in the blood bank, selling a pint
Back to the crack house to score.

Observe, and tell me what you see
Turn your back, blind to reality
Society condemns its own fate
Wake up before it's too fucking late

Radon gas entering your home
Silent invisible death
Pesticides in your lunch
Nicotine on your breath
Preschool junkie raped by her father
By day he's the mayor of your city
A community full of back stabbing scum
No friends, no love, no pity

Observe, and tell me what you see
Turn your back, blind to reality
Society condemns its own fate
Wake up before it's too fucking late

Observe, and tell me what you see
Turn your back, blind to reality
Society condemns its own fate
Wake up before it's too fucking late

“Children of the earth” by Praying Mantis, album: Time tell no lies (1981)

Where are the mountains
Where are the trees
Together with our ashes
They're blown in the breeze
Death and destruction
Has ruined our lives
But now it's the end as mankind truly dies

For we are children of the earth
Orphans of the universe
Children of the earth
But now our mother is dead

God help us open our shuttered eyes
To see what we've done
To this once paradise
Forgive us our sins
For we were blind to the fact
That we were ruining
This land and God's holy pact

For we are children of the earth
Orphans of the universe
Children of the earth
But now our mother is dead

Time has no meaning
Time tells no lies
Man has evolved as a predator in disguise
Collect all our evils, place them side by side
There you have the potion for mass suicide

Another pleading for awareness about ecological destruction. You can hear this song in youtube

"Twilight for all mankind" by Torture Squad, album:"Hellbound" (2008)

Faces in turmoil
Going though hard times
Global warming
Is changing everybody's lives
This climate chaos
Is the Beginning of the end
It's a bitter lesson
we all have to understand
Feel the deadly heat waves
And the force of hurricanes
Droughts and mega floods
Make the earth a piece of mud
Fire is burning high
Crops are getting dry
Isn't that enough?
A point of no return

Twilight for all mankind

Ambitious leaders
In an endless decay

Fuck the planet
Filling people with dismay
Here we come again
To a sad farewell
We're too tired
To stand another painful hell
Mass migration and civil war
No resources anymore
Hungry countries in decline
Making people cross the line
Famine and diseases
Put us on our knees
The future of mankind
Rests inside our minds

Twilight for all mankind

Fire is burning again
Water is causing pain
Air is hard to breath
Insane

Droughts split the land
Fast floods expand
Leading to the end
The end

This climate chaos
Is the Beginning of the end
It's a bitter lesson
we all have to understand
Feel the deadly heat waves
And the force of hurricanes
Droughts and mega floods
Make the earth a piece of mud
Fire is burning high
Crops are getting dry
Isn't that enough?
A point of no return

Twilight for all mankind

"Unatural Selection" by Ayreon, album: 01011001 (2008)

We have to teach them all that we know
Their evolution moves far too slow
Expand their minds and reject compliance
Upgrade their knowledge, upload our science

This revolution will lead to their demise,
We should not make the same mistake twice
We're kept alive by artificial means
We've lost our souls to a world of machines

Listen to the Warning [8X]

We need to teach them to fight disease
They seem so helpless and need our expertise

I see them dying all across the globe
Their greatest foe is but a small microbe

The sudden change leads to overpopulation
Shifting the balance, destructive habitation
Killing a live biological invasion
Consuming it by ruthless exploitation

Can you see the fire in their eyes?
Can you hear the anguish in their cries?
Can you see the beauty in their eyes?
Can you sense the love within their hearts?
I can taste the freedom we once had
I can touch their pain when they feel sad
I can smell the fragrance of the air
I remember times we used to share

(Don't want to live in a world that's dying)
(Don't want to live in a world that's dead)

Listen to the warning [8X]

(Before the dark powers of destruction unleashed by science engulf all
humanity in planned or accidental self-destruction)

(Human Kind has acquired a collective power and ability to
dramatically alter the environment of the entire planet)

(This will not be another Vietnam)
(The only thing we have to fear is fear itself)

(Our task is not only to win the battle, but to win the war)

We gave them feelings what did they sense?
Shout out the world at their defence.
We gave them science what did they do?
They built a bomb and they used it too.

We gave them wisdom, what did they learn?
Wore out the planet and mare it burn!
We gave them armor, what did they make?
Nuclear weapons for their own sake!
We gave them insight what did they see?
Vanquish the noble, enslave the free!
We gave them wisdom, what did they seek?
Destroying all that's within their reach!
We gave them language, what did they say?
They put the planet in disarray!
We gave them dreams!
What did they dream?

Don't want to live in a world that's dying.
Don't want to live in a world that's dead.

Listen to the warning [8X]

A chain on guilt around her neck
A planet straying in darkness

What can we say in lives we wreck?
I say we should find a way
I say stop this decay

Can you see the fire in their eyes?
Can you hear the anguish in their cries?
Can you see the beauty in their eyes?
Can you sense the love within their hearts?
I can taste the freedom we once had.
I can touch their pain
I can smell the fragrance of the air.
I remember times we used to share.

A concept album about a race of extraterrestrials that plan to colonize earth and various ethics towards life forms and use or exploitation of the planet are risen. These extraterestrials were come from a planet where machines allienated them and also they are beyond restrictions of time observing the evolution on Earth from Dinosaurs to humans. They question themselves about the pros and cons of a possible intervention to speed the techological evolution in humans or leave them in their fate. At last they deside to give people technology and intelligence, but humans used these gifts with the worst way leading earth to destruction, in a similar way the extraterrestrials destroyed their own civilization reproducing unwillingly a similar circle of evolution and detruction. We present the lyrics of one song, the rest you can find them in Dark Lyrics Also you can read the story in wikipedia

"Little Fighter" by White Lion, album: Big Game (1989)

are you cryin' tonight, are you
feelin' alright
i'll tell the world that you are,
down on yourluck, you were
one of the kind
one who'd never give in
even when they put a price on your head

has anyone heard the tales you tell
or seen the scars you wear
did anyone speak up when you fell
does anybody care

rise again little fighter
and let the world know the reason why
shine again little fighter
and don't let 'em end the things you do

and you were one with a cause,
and a reason to be
you were a fighter for peace
on this earth
and you were never afraid
you put your life on the line
and you were always alone
out on the sea

without a weapon in your hand
you came to fight a war
they took your life, but didn't know
that you would never die

rise again little fighter
and let the world know the reason why
shine again little fighter
and don't let 'em end the things you do

are you feelin' alright
cause i care

rise again little fighter
and let the world know the reason why
shine again little fighter
and don't let 'em end the things you do

rise again little fighter
and let the world know the reason why
shine again little fighter
and don't let 'em end the things you do

We read in wikipedia:

The song is about a Greenpeace boat named "Rainbow Warrior" which was illegally destroyed by the French. Inside the Big Game album booklet, where the Little Fighter lyrics are it says "In Memory of Rainbow Warrior" in brackets next to the name.

Unlike most bands of their genre, White Lion recorded occasional songs that addressed social or political issues such as apartheid ("Cry for Freedom") and the effect of divorce on children ("Broken Home"). The song "Little Fighter" was about the Rainbow Warrior, a ship owned by the environmental group Greenpeace that was destroyed by operatives of the French intelligence service. This concern for political and social
issues was also hinted at in the cover art to their album Big Game, which featured a lion's head hidden in tall grass with the White House in the background.
