~Christmas Mason Jar Candles & kgabara necklaces and Simple & Sweet Fridays #145~

I've been wanting to make some mason jar candles after seeing them on Pinterest and other blogs.
I used some mason jars, pine cones with glitter, jute,
 candles and rock salt.
A Christmas project that takes little time,
but looks so pretty when lit.
Simple red roses next to the candle is another elegant look.
I cut some ribbon and added a bell onto jars
 in the entryway.
Glittered pinecones and fresh greenery placed around the candles.
When you walk into the house a winter scene greets you.

Before we get to last weeks features, I wanted to share with you a few of my daughter Katie's unique stained glass necklace designs.

~Whimsical Garden Party Decorations & Craft~

I wanted to share with you some more photos of the decorations for the
Whimsical Garden Party
 for my friend, Mary.
I made some flower garlands to hang outside on our chandelier.
I found the flowers at the Dollar Store and glued two together to a piece of ribbon.
I tied crystal grapes to the ends to weigh them down.
They looked so pretty.
This is a photo of the girls in our garden.
Linda, Yuri, Mary, Tami, Me and Virginia.
Mary's hat I found at a local thrift store.
It had just the right touches for the theme.
I added colored butterflies and baby's breath to the outside.
I also made a tulle skirt with hot glued flowers
 to match the garden theme.
I displayed it on my mannequin.
Yuri made origami cranes to hang on the chandelier in the kitchen.
They were just perfect.
I loved the colored paper she used.
Over the fireplace I had white butterflies and white lights.
Crowns and baby's breath.

~Teacups Everywhere~
A display of whimsical desserts.
Paper bird garland lit up the lights in the bathroom.
I love Trader Joe's.
I found these beautiful purple and white gladiolus.

I bought bunches of fresh lavender and
and wrapped them in purple tissue for the girls.
I have been drying flowers from the garden to make potpourri.
I added a rose scent to it.
I stamped white bags with a garden girl.
Everyone got to take some potpourri home in the bags.
Since it was a garden theme, I ordered some edible butterflies.
Fancy Flours has so many wonderful ideas and papers.
I cut the butterflies out and used a clear gel to adhere edible glitter.
I also ordered different shaped butterfly cookie cutters.
I used their recipe for No Fail Sugar Cookies.
I iced the cookies with white and green icing.
Different colored glitter to make them sparkle.
I love how they turned out.
Can't wait to make more.
A poem for the birthday girl.
~Whimzy Everywhere~

I made some chocolate covered sprinkle spoons.
A suitcase is
used for a magical look.
Some pom poms here and there.
Virginia planned the craft.
We made sun catchers for the garden.
It was such a fun day.
Tami makes the prettiest ice flower buckets.
Always love getting together with the girls.
Thanks Linda for taking the photo.
Our lab, Maggie, had fun too!!
