Guess Who Thinks Rape Is Hilarious Now?, by Melissa McEwan at Shakesville, via Feministe.
Maybe this is why I haven't watched a Will Ferrell movie since Talladega Nights.

Me too.
My nephew sent me that "Green Team" video clip a few weeks ago, and, being a Will Ferrell fan, I thought it would be typically hilarious. I was completely STUNNED when I saw that one part where they cornered that one woman and "raped" her behind a building. I can't BELIEVE they thought that was funny. I'll never watch anything with Ferrell in it again.
Welcome, rstetradio! Do you have a blog?
That is an unfortunate decision to eschew the Will Ferrell. I doubt I will be watching any future movies of his, mainly because he is becoming Adam Sandler: doing the same character in every blockbuster movie, just changing the title. He's better than that, and he's better than doing rape jokes with his less famous friends
Bianca: Thanks for the welcome...nope I don't have blog...I sort of just zip around sites in satellite fashion. When I saw the commentary on that awful Green Team video, I felt compelled to add my thoughts, in light of the fact I had I seen this video and had been appalled. I'm glad someone addressed this issue. I agree with your analogy on Ferrell, he seems to have lost whatever originality he possessed. I had been fan of his since his early "Saturday Night Live" days.
I really like his interpretation of George Bush.
How did you find my blog?
