With all this talk about Instagram, I asked Mom to sign up for it on her iphone. I'm still getting the hang of it, and when I try to send the photos to my email nothing happens. I can only access the pictures by going to Mom's Facebook page.

I would really rather just send the pics to my email address, but... whatever. It's addictive anyway.

Lady Isabelle Rosie Cotton (aka "Izzy")

Isn't she sweet? What an innocent face. She's definitely my baby.

My very sassy baby.

Maddie Kate Scarlett O'Hara

Always smiling. Our happy girl. Maddie loves everyone, and when we introduced Izzy to the family she gladly welcomed her. The two of them are so close that they act like twins.

Tiger Lily

The Queen of the household, seeing how she's the eldest; 18 we believe. (Wendy, her daughter - only in the biological sense - either just turned 17 or is about to).

One unique thing about the queen is that she has extra paws; "Hemingway Claws" they're called.

Tomorrow is the day. The day of my dentist appointment. I wish they would work on at least one tooth, but no..... they have to prolong the torturous waiting even more. I've waited over 2 weeks just to get this appointment.

Photobucket

I know. Time to stop being a baby and panicking. Photobucket We've all been there, and at least I'm closer to the end now.

--------------------------------

Just FYI -
From now on I think I'm going to reply to comments inside my own posts. I've seen a lot of people do that, and it does make more sense this way.

It makes sense because sometimes I see upwards to 20 comments on someone's post, and when I respond to one of their comments to me on THEIR page... I'm afraid that with that many comments they won't even remember that they commented on my blog in the first place.

I just wanted to give y'all the heads up. I don't want anyone thinking I'm ignoring them.

Do we really?

Dear Wendy Kitty,
Why are you so obsessed with sitting on the mat in front of the stove? Do you think it's a teleportation device that will send you back to your home planet?

Dear Self,
Keep calm and step away from the panic button. Your first dentist appointment is this Monday, and they won't even do any work that day. So no, please don't flip out by slamming your fist onto that ginormous red panic button just yet.

Dear Bluebirds,
It's been nice knowing that you're building a new nest. I always enjoy seeing you.

Dear Spiders,
Please stop gathering in my bathtub and sink. I'm tired of rescuing you. One of these days I might snap and do the normal thing, which is to squash your little bodies to Kingdom Come.

Dear Izzy,
Thank you, darling, for helping me get Abby to eat her dog food again. (Abby is a fan of people food and not her own gourmet doggie food, but if there's competition for food with the other girls - including the cat - she's suddenly a big fan).

Dear Birds,
I'm sorry Abby keeps barking at you when you're just minding your own business in your own trees.

Dear Insomnia,
I know I should hate you, but you created a miracle last night. Thanks to your persistence in keeping me awake while the rest of the world is asleep and dreaming, I finally used the craft room.

Dear Gerry,
I'm sorry I've been a neglectful fan girl all these months. I still love you and would be more than happy to marry you tomorrow. I think you'll be very happy with a Texas gal, only you just don't know it yet.

Dear New JoAnn's store,
Must you torture me with your awesome collection of scrapbooking and jewelry supplies complete with 50% off coupons? I haven't won the lottery yet, so stop luring me in like an Iced Mocha from McDonald's. Have some compassion, eh?

Dear George Strait,
I'm pretty sure my mother is crazy in lust for you. cowboy After all, she named our old pick up truck after you.

Dear Intuition,
Your prediction on the person that would be kicked off American Idol this week was spot on. Now tell me the winning lottery numbers.

Dear Books,
Why must this love/hate relationship continue? I become happily immersed into your world, but at the same time I view you as a study guide. A college course in Writing 101. Photobucket

I'M NOT WRITING ANYMORE, SO BUGGER OFF! I just want to enjoy your perfectly arranged strings of pretty words and leave the studying... and obsessing... and angst behind. Books are meant to be enjoyed, not dissected like some poor frog lying inside a metal tray in some 8th grader's science class.

Dear 'Once Upon A Time' tv series,
Pleeeaaaase tell me the rumors are wrong. Please tell me August Boothe isn't really... gulp... Pinocchio. Learning that this mysterious, Harley-Davidson-riding man with his beautiful blue eyes and love for the written word and old timey typewriters could very well have been a wooden puppet in the Fairytale world is not assisting my growing fan girl crush. I can't for the life of me get the "I got no strings" song out of my head.

And about The Blue Fairy--- I receive the feeling she's really a member of The Dark Side, no? She says she's on the "right side."

Hmmm... that's food for thought right there. I never liked her sugary demeanor and jellyfish looking dress anyway, so bring on the darkness! Maybe she'll become a lot more interesting now. I'm looking forward to it.

And I LOVE what the writers have done with Mr. Gold's character so far!!!!! He's my favorite.

Okay, I'm rambling now.

Dear BBC America,
Thank you for airing the Doctor Who reruns again, but must you always edit the best parts? Thanks to your affinity for deleting the best scenes, any newbies to Tennant's era don't know what they're missing.

For fun I just have to include this. It's so silly, and I haven't yet crossed a Whovian that doesn't love it:

I broke down and bought my book. I found it at Target for $14. It’s a short story I already have, but this particular book includes a couple of deleted scenes from two of Karen’s Highlander novels. (My favorite of her series). It even includes a proposal for a book she never wrote/published.

There are a few more extras, but no biggies. Just an excerpt from the Fever series, which I already have, and photos from the upcoming graphic novel… which I really don’t care for personally.

I’m excited about re-reading this one though. After months of putting it off, I finally finished the other book I was reading all because I knew I’d be reading this one next.

Photobucket

And I might be in the minority here, but I still prefer the original cover for “Into the Dreaming.”

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, Zip-A-Dee-Ay. My oh my what a wonderful day.

Cinderella was right when she said that dreams do come true, because after years of Disney fans begging and pleading and hoping and praying….. STARBUCKS is coming to the Disney parks!

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

I haven’t been to Starbucks in a long time, and I doubt I’ll be buying a lot of frappuccinos at Disney at over $5 a pop, but if they’re selling Disney/Starbucks mugs…. I am sooooo buying!

I can't wait to discover where they'll place the stores. I think a Starbucks in the new Fantasyland would be nice. In Gaston's Tavern would be perfect.

In Hollywood Studios, at first I thought they'll probably replace the cafe that they have now, at The Writer's Stop, with Starbucks. But.... the problem there is it really is a cramped area and a very busy store.

I can't even venture to guess where they'd place them in Animal Kingdom and Epcot.

These questions are all courtesy of The Little Things We Do.

1. Today is a great day because we might be receiving some rain.

2. Tomorrow I will finish reading my book or make a new necklace.

3. My favorite time of day is when the stars come out because it's the most peaceful time of the day and puts things into perspective.

4. Sometimes you just have to keep calm, watch a Disney movie and enjoy your cappuccino.

5. A song that I just can't get enough of lately is "Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse.

6. My favorite accessory is rings or a necklace.

7. My favorite thing about this week was seeing a shooting star one evening, and enjoying an iced mocha with french fries yesterday.

Dear Blogger,
I am not a fan of this new look, and for months you won't allow me edit/update my profile. As a result, little Abby feels left out. I'm no longer owned by 2 dogs, but 3. Your little bugs here are hurting her feelings and ticking me off.

Dear Abby,
Thanks a million for using the cat tower to look outside the upstairs window. Thanks to your love for bird and mailman watching, Wendy Kitty is FINALLY using that cat tower which I asked for for my birthday.... last May.

Dear 'Once Upon A Time' tv series,
I am so thrilled we'll be reunited this Sunday. Not seeing you at all these past few weeks has been rough. I've missed you!

Dear pink nail polish,
Hello again! It's nice seeing you after having stashed you inside the bathroom cabinet for all these months.

Dear Blog Followers,
I hope you have no clue how many times I've edited this post. With these new changes, it took forever for me to figure out why my post wasn't centering anymore.

And then I discovered a new blog hop to join.... then I noticed a few typos... and then the dogs needed out to potty and I couldn't remember if I saved my last edits or not.

I know. Excuses, excuses.

Dear Toothaches,
Please behave yourselves. Just your exam appointment - as in no actual work done - isn't until April 30th.

Dear Tom Hanks,
Tell me I read that wrong. You're going to portray WALT DISNEY in "Saving Mr. Banks?" No, no, no, no, noooo!!!! Why are they even making this movie? The author, P.L. Travers, wasn't even a fan of the film.

Color me confused.

Dear Romance Novel,
I'm sorry I've neglected you all these months. I promise to continue reading your story this week.

Photobucket

Dear Old Town Spring,
You know I love all your quaint shops, but I can't understand why you're having the Crawfish Festival for two weekends in a row.

And I've seen crawfish before in dirty, litter-infested ditches. I'm all for adventure every now and then, but how can anyone eat those things?

Dear ITD novel coming out next week,
I was so very excited about your re-release with bonus material, but then I discovered that you're not a paperback.

I don't know whether to bite the bullet and pay more, or wait for the cheaper PB release... which will take several months to arrive, if at all.

Photobucket

Dear Severe Thunderstorms,
You had better come this afternoon as predicted. I turned down a school assignment for you.

Dear Coincidences,
Why are you still stalking me?

Dear Self,
Stop taking repetitive video of Abby pulling up the weeds outside.

Dear Camera Batteries,
You are not fulfilling your destiny.

Dear Little Bird,
I am so sorry you flew into our window yesterday and entered Birdie Heaven. You were one of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen, and I feel so very bad. You were so gorgeous and colorful that I wanted to take a photo of you but didn't because that seemed a little too morbid.

Dear Unknown Artist,
Must you tease me with this beautiful movie poster?

Dear Texas Death Penalty,
I believe you have a new candidate. She should be all yours shortly, as innocent mothers and their children will be a lot safer without her. She is one sick, demented and EVIL individual. It sickens me that such a tragedy happened just a few minutes from my own home.

It sickens me that it happened at all.

Dear Muse,
Stop drinking iced lattes on The Riviera and return home already.

(Insert sing-song voice).... I have cookies.

Dear McDonald's Iced Mocha,
As always, I love you I love you I love you I love you!

Photobucket

Dear Walt Disney World,
I miss you! Photobucket

Photobucket

I discovered this only today, so I figured my first photo should be a fun one that I took of my sister's dog a long time ago.

Photobucket

Okay, so I think I'll add one more fun one with the barbed wire fence. This photo my mother took a few years back, while looking at the bluebonnets in Washington County one spring.

So.... without further ado, say hello to my little BIG friend!

Possibly the sweetest Disney commercial EVER!

I loooove them! So funny, and such a cute little pre-show that takes first time viewers by surprise.

Oh, how I miss WDW!!!!!! Just hearing those familiar sounds makes me feel like I'm there again. Disney World really does feel like my second home. Florida is the only state I'd leave Texas for.
