Something CUTE to share YAY! :)

Papercrafting is therapeutic to me. It completely clears my mind. And when im stressed I like to stay really busy, I also cant sleep very well either. I've been working on some secret projects last night and tonight that will go live here Friday... I cant wait to share them with you.

Im finally able to have some time in my craft room and get some things done. I really missed crafting for the past few days. I hope to be doing more this weekend, staying here on the homefront with my daughter. The hospital isnt a place for her to be and we dont want her to see her Papa in such bad shape.

Now on to the cuteness. Just thought I would take a break and craft a card for CARDS magazine challenge - Windows. Had some fun making this card. Did more paper piecing in this one... love it. And I love the Bitty Dot Basics paper stack from PTI.

Side view to see its a bay window :)
Stamps: Hero Arts
Paper: PTI bitty dot basics, kraft, white, hawaiian shores
Other: PTI cloud die, ribbon

Again I wanted to say Thank you to all you dear friends for all the prayers. I appreciate them so much. And I appreciate your understanding that I haven't had time to visit you. I also will be sending out prizes that need to be mailed off on Monday when I return to work, I ship from work. And I will be getting back to doing my DT posts, I missed a couple this week. Im also working on some blog re-designs for some friends so that I also need to get done. Well, I think I have enough to keep me busy and my mind off of things.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! Im going to try and get around to visit. Dont forget Friday is the last day to enter the current challenge... guess everyone doesn't do paper piecing lol.

Blessings to you!

Ouch that HURT!

Just kidding... well I did prick myself a few times. I always do when I sew LOL. I wanted a break for the night from cards to make a little something I need and for another entry for the Moxie Fab World fun with fabric challenge. I made a few for my craft room for the pins I put on cards and LO's and for needles. So heres my little cushion all stuffed and fluffed:

Recipe:
Fabric: Cosmo Cricket (love their fabric)
Felt: PTI raspberry fizz and white
Other: PTI bloom dies, Needle, Thread

I love the line of fabric from Cosmo Cricket, I have lots of it. I cant wait to use it. This pin cushion is the same basic concept as my fabric flower tutorial but you are going to make the circle at least 5.5" round, you can go bigger too just keep in mind that whatever size your circle is your pincushion will be half that size and also you will stuff it as full as possible. And make sure to use a strong thread to make sure it doesnt break when you pull it closed. Instead of putting a button like on the flower you can add some fun felt cutouts to the top, go crazy with it. Here I used the PTI beautiful blooms flower dies for the top. Love it and its so handy having these around the craft room and you can whip these out in 10 minutes. :) :)

Dont forget ... the challenge closes on Friday at 11:59pm, so hurry and get your card or project in.

On another personal note, can I please ask for some prayers? My fiances Dad is very ill, hes not doing well at all. He refuses a hospital till he can get his affairs in order. He keeps thinking if he goes in he will never come back out. Hes in really bad shape and his health is heading down hill fast. So I ask could you please say a prayer for him (Jim) that God may put his healing hand on him and ease his pain. If for some reason I dont post this weekend till possibly Sunday that means we probably took him to the hospital. Im praying that he can hold on that long. Thank you kindly.

Many blessings to you! :) :)

Don't you just love Daisy's? I do!

I love spring so much, all the beautiful flowers. And one of my favorite flowers are Daisys. They come in such a variety of colours. Thats why I love this stamp from Hero Arts. Its called Engraved Daisy. Its so cute. I used it here for the Playdate Cafe challenge 25. The challenge is to make a black and white card with a splash of colour. Wherever I go flowers always remind me of that splash of colour. Like when we took our trip to Disneyland, everywhere on the hillsides are Poppys. A splash of orange on all the hillsides, it was so beautiful. Usually a purple Daisy has a darker purple center, but there are some with an orange center... so heres mine.

Card recipe:
Paper: PTI black & white
Stamps: Hero Arts CG142 Engraved Daisy, Sentiment from PTI button bits
Ink: Copic Markers, Memento
Accessories: May Arts ribbon, Bo Bunny rhinestones, Spellbinders Nestibilities

Weekend is over BOO! Went by too fast!
Be sure to check out my new challenge... great prize for the winner! :)
Have a great week!

I Heart Spring

Happy Thursday! Hope you had a wonderful one and didn't get fooled on April fools day  LOL! TGIF tomorrow... yay! I have so much in the works, got a busy weekend ahead of me. So I wont keep you... First I would like to share that my card HERE was featured on the Bo Bunny blog HERE. I love their challenges and all their goodies! :)

Secondly I would like to share with you a set of cards I did, I love the 3x3 and everyone loved the last ones I did so I thought I would make another set for spring and for Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Hippity Hoppity Easters on its Way! They fit the colors and patterns well. I really love this stamp set from Hero Arts.

And while I was at it I thought I would show how I put these cards together. Im sure you can tell from the pictures but I would love to share with you anyway... plus allot of calls for DT's some of them ask that you have given a tutorial before so here goes my first:

First I inked up my stamp with Tim Holtz distress inks, you can choose any colors you want to use to make these. I chose several different colors.

This is what they should look like all stamped and pretty, then take your same distress ink and your distress tool and run it along the edges of the flowers which it always distresses darker so it gives it a nice look.

Next I spritzed on some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Pearl and dried it quicker with my heat gun. I always spray mine in a box so I dont make a huge mess.

Next I got to play with my button collection and added some buttons to these cuties, my favorite part of putting these together (I love buttons) :D

Next I cut my Kraft cardstock 3x6 (folded it to 3x3) with my bone folder

Then I took my PTI white ink and stamped my leaves, sentiment and butterfly.

I pieced my card together, using pop dots on the flowers. Added a swirly trail for the butterfly with my gel pen then took my distress tool again and my PTI white and gave the edges a soft frame.

Card recipe:
Stamps: Hero Arts CL151 Share Laughter, PTI Mixed Messages
Paper: PTI Kraft, PTI Stampers White
Ink: PTI white, Tim Holtz distress inks
Accessories: PTI buttons, Glimmer Mist

Clean up and enjoy! :) Hope you enjoyed my lil tutorial.

I will be back this weekend with more details of the upcoming challenges and prizes! :)  Off to bed again... have a wonderful Friday! TGIF!
