C.C. Designs April Review

Morning all!

Hey! So today is review day for C.C. Designs and for my project today i've used the beautiful C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Watermelon Abigail 

She really is a darlin to colour and fast becoming one of my many favourites of the Swiss Pixie Collection, ah whom I kidding, i love em all!!! how can ya not?!

My card today is pretty CAS for me, i didn't want to fill it up too much because i love how i've coloured her! 

I used my silhouette cameo to out the watermelon die cut, but did you know C.C.Designs also do a matching Cutting die! ohhh i think i'm going to need that!

I've used a mix of My minds eye papers and cosmo cricket ribbon and a few star buttons along with a jillibean soup label to finish off my card... which is here....

Thermomorph Review! Embellishment Packed & WOJ Christmas Card!

Hey guys! 

So i was asked a few weeks back if i'd review a new product to which i was really thrilled to have been asked and of course i couldn't wait for it to arrive! So what is it??! i hear you ask! but before i do go on to tell you all about this new product, My review is fully 100% my own opinions and i've not been paid or influenced in anyway shape or form... soo....

Introducing Thermomorph! 


So what is it?
On there website they say
''Thermomorph is an amazing new moldable plastic compound that can be used in numerous different ways. Hack things, fix things, make things and sculpt things, with Thermomorph it’s all possible.

It’s super easy to use, boil a kettle of water and pour some into a bowl, sprinkle the required amount into the water and wait until it turns clear. Once clear Thermomorph becomes pliable for around two minutes, mold into the desired shape using your hands or tools and then wait to cool to room temperature at which point it sets rock hard again."

So when i received the product which is purchasable from Amazon Here  currently priced at £17.95 RRP:£19.95 for 500g. and is made from polymorph granuals. I was actually amazed at how big the jar was! it's huge!!! then my second thought kicked in, ok so big jar... is this stuff going to last me... will i get a lot of use out of it?! well because of what i wanted to use it for... put it this way it doesn't even look like i've used any at all!!! a small pinch goes a lonnnnnnng way! 

So what could i make with Thermomorph, well the list is really endless but me being a crafter i've wanted to make my own embellishments for ages! so i set about reading the instructions (which are soooo easy!) and with the help of a few molds i have the first thing i made was this...

The flower on the left is the original piece i took a mold from and melted down some Thermomorph and added a sprinkling of cosmo shimmer powder to and walla the pink flower on the right was the result! Ok! so that took me literally 4/5 minutes to do and cure and it's ready to go! I was instantly sold on this product! amazing! so i carried on making more....

To which i added mica powders, glitter sprays, distress inks to! and i love the results!
Another important thing i found is i had some over hang on my embellishments which i was able to snip off and save and remelt to make into different shapes! which i thought was fab so if you make something you don't like remelt it and start again! That's a bonus in my book!

I couldn't believe how simple it is pop the pellets in water that's boiled (be careful not to burn ya fingers) i used a Popsicle stick to pick up the see-through plastic and mold'd in my hands you've got a few minutes to add colours or whatever! then it sets at room temp! simple! so i kinda went a bit mad....

Coloum 1 - White embellishments just Thermomorph left to set naturally!
Coloum 2 - Added distress ink (becareful can get very messy! ink covered hands take it from me! haha)
Colom 3 - Added mica powders
colom 4 - Added very fine wow glitter
Colom 5 - added chunky wow glitter
colom 6 - mica powders and chunky glitter

I fully recommend Thermomorph to any crafter it's fab! even my husband is coming up with ideas to use for it, i'm yet to try painting it and embossing with it ooohhh the ideas are really endless! a total need for any crafter and it's a product i'll defiantly be buying more off that's for sure! So here's my latest Card creation including some Thermomorph embellishments that were hand created by me!

What I'm Lovin... August

Hey All!

I'm here to share a lil (well large) post with you all about the products in the craft world i'm currently lovin' this month! You can see last months post here!
I have so many e-mails asking me about what kinda products i like to buy and use i thought this kinda post would give you all an insight into what crafty things i'm currently using and lovin'!

So here i am for August's post a little late as i've had so much going on!!!

First up! Has to be my new found love of....


I've been after these for yonks, umming and arring over getting them last month for my birthday i decided against them, not sure why perhaps £90 is a big leap in one go... so i waited and waited and brought them from a friend and i tell ya the best thing i've brought in a while i love em! you'll be seeing my creations over the coming weeks with these!! i'm so glad i took the plunge and brought them! totally worth the RRP even tho i didnt pay that for them!!! 
 

CC Designs stamps!
I've had these stamps for ages and go through periods of not using specific brands for very long and then find myself going back to them like all crafters i think! This one is 'Swiss pixie Bunny Lucy' she's my favorite new stamp that i've brought this week!


Memory Box dies! Currently i'm the type of crafter that hords punches and dies and never uses them mainly because i forget i even have them (she says owning a cricut and a slice) and since these memory box dies came out i love how inexpensive some of them are! I've finally nabbed my hands on a few christmas trees that have been released and this snowflake one is my fav!!! 
For those who regually follow my blog and know me you'll know i'm obsessed with 6x6 paper! At this very moment in time i am lovin' the Dear Lizzy Neopolitain range that i've finally got my hands on, the jar paper and strawbs are fantastic and such pale colours i really love!!! 

Journal cards are all the range in my craft room at the moment, i'm heavily following my own version of project life for this year in A4 size (different i know) you can see the youtube vid's on my link at top of my blog, next year (ok im already planning) i'm going for 12x12 and i'm super excited about that! see below... these are the new MLS 12X12 Paper's released at july 2012 CHA and i love em!!! 

So yay!!! i finally got my 12x12 D - ring amy tangerine sketchbook album for my project life for next year i love the cameras on this, project life is something i never envisioned doing but 8 months through 2011 in an a4 binder i love it its great to look back on your whole year and see how much stuff you've really done!!!

Stamps!!! hehe!!! i managed to finally get one of these dear lizzy jar stamps i've been after for a while since they came out they were so popular they flew out faster than craft shops could order them. my inital thought when recieving it was ''its tiny!'' well not tiny but alot smaller than i imagined but i have to say now it's rather cute being small and i can't wait to play!


Whimsy Sentiment stamps & matching dies!
I'm a huge fan of these there fantastic! this is the latest set i've got my hands on and i love that you can get the matching die cuts! I also have these in tickets too there fab!! a real must!
Well on to digi's companys that don't need a write up there images are as cute as ever.... Digi stamp boutique (I adore sally-ann's work!)

The world of rubber....

I love Housemouse they've been one of my fav's for a long time so darn cute!!!


Pink Cat Studio have some truly wonderful stamps altho they are avalible as digi's i have alot of rubber too they're fab and stamp so well!
And what did i get from last months wishlist???....

3 out of 4 aint bad i suppose!!!

What I'm Lovin... *July*

Hey All!

I'm back this evening to share a lil (well large) post with you all about the products in the craft world i'm currently lovin' this month!
I have so many e-mails asking me about what kinda products i like to buy and use i thought this kinda post would give you all an insight into what crafty things i'm currently using and lovin'!

First up! Has to be my new found love of....


Kraft Cardstock! Yep i'm loving working with this at the moment it's so nice to put other colours with instead of the usual black or matting layers it's so nice to use especially with the next product below! I actually get my kraft in A4 size from a local craft shop but you can get it here in 12x12.


VersaMagic dew drops are currently an in thing with my i love the effect the chalks give papers and card stock and it's so nice around the edges of images I reccomend Jumbo Java which is a brown for use with Kraft Card.

Amy Tangerine LoveStruck Stamp Set! I have been using this stamp set so much in my project life and in my smash* booking! There so darn cute i love the feather!!! I can tell you you'll see more Amy T on my blog in the future i'm totally obsessed with her products right now and super excited to see her newest CHA Release i so can't wait for it to come out in the UK!  

For those who regually follow my blog and know me you'll know i'm obsessed with 6x6 paper! At this very moment in time i am lovin' the six by six My Minds Eye collections i especially love this one called ''Dwell'', those little cute tele's remind me of willy wonka! lol strange i know but it's kinda retro but soft pale colours! 

I was super excited about the last CHA release from simple stories there papers are lush! totally scrapability and awesome! that i nearly fell over trying to purchase the 6x6 version, there so cool, and they have mini journal cards and bingo cards in the stack too totally rocking! This is my current favourite pad ''summer fresh'' i'm so hoping they bring out the girly pink one in 6x6 too! 
Enough of the paper! lol i could talk for years literally there's so many favs of mine when it comes to paper!

Next up...



My Memo Notebooks! Well when i first saw these i thought 'smash*' written all over it and if you see there vid on youtube you'll agree it's such a rip off of the k&co vid it's untrue! but.... i swallowed my issues with that and went ahead and ordered both the blue and pink (if you wish to see inside follow my youtube link at the top of my blog).
I love the idea of these books and there just basically a different kind of smash* book just a different companys version! still not sure what i'm going to do with mine as yet but hey!!!



My Memo also do a fav range of sticky notes and journal spots along with funky washi tapes too i had the music ones me being me of course i love my music! I must admit i was a tad disapointed in these when they first came i couldn't get over how small they were! but.... i stuck with it and now i'm finding music notes all over my house (never mind the books!)
And finally Stamps!!! how could i not write about those!!!

Well two companys that don't need a write up there images are as cute as ever....

Penny Black's Piece of my heart stamp set! I adore this set it's one of my favourite's from penny black it's that mouse in the cupcake box he makes me giggle everytime!!!
