March Cuddly Buddly #2

Good morning everyone! Today is Thursday -- Woot Woot!!  I had my last clearance today for surgery, Cardiovascular, but I left disappointed! He is making me do a stress test with Echo, so that puts everything off for at least a couple of more weeks. I will go in for the stress test on the 30th of March. Oh well! Better safe than sorry .. so I just need to suck it up and get ready for the stress test I guess! If I pass that then I'm all cleared. I meet with the Bariatric Surgeon on Monday... so we will see what he says and go from there.

Alright... enough of my disappointing morning LOL  On to more fun things!  Today I'm sharing my second Cuddly Buddly creation with you for March!

For this one I have used Snow Buddies - Pachela Studios, which you can find at the Cuddly Buddly  Digital Shop!! I colored this image with my Prismacolor Pencils. I'm trying to work with both the Prismacolor Pencils and Faber-Castell Polychromos to improve my coloring! I layered the rim of the hat and the front of the scarf. The papers are all from my scrap box; Still trying to use up my scraps!! The edge of the card is lined with a Memory Box snowflake die. The circle is a Spellbinders die and then I added the two different shades of blue snowflake eyelets. I have used eyelets in such a long time! I stamped Snow Day from one of my Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Set -- Snow Day Lucas. I added the white and pearl dew drops, some lace and a bit of stitching to finish it off! For the inside I used some more of those scrap papers and added some additional lace and dew drops to finish it off.

Cuddly Buddly March

Good morning everyone and Happy Friday! I love the weekends! I hope you had a great week and now let's head into the weekend and have some fun!

Today I'm posting my first post in March for Cuddly Buddly.

For this card I used An Apple A Day from Pachela Studios. I thought he was too cute and that little look on his face made me think of a get well card. So, that is what I did. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and did a bit of layering. I added some glitter to the flowers and some Opaque White to the apple. I added a bit of red fiber, the red and yellow gems and the hat and stethoscope brads. I thought they would be a nice touch. Then I stamped the get well. The card cut was done with my Cameo.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Apple: YG01, YG63, R20, R22, R24, R29, R59
  • Bear and Apple Stem: E31, E23, E27, E79
  • Flower Stem: YG01, YG63
  • Flower Center: YG01, YG63

January Cuddly Buddly

Good morning everyone! It is FREEZING outside!  No riding my bike today... a bit too cold for that! So, I had to pile in the van and get to work that way instead. I love riding the Bergman to work every day! I hate that it's too cold - 12˚ F or -11.1˚ C! Tomorrow it's suppose to be 20˚ F (-6.6˚ C), so we will try that. With my heated gloves I should be good!

What has been going on with everyone? Here we have been working on buying a home. We put in an offer on a house, but so did an investor. The investor's offer was accepted, but they asked us to sign as a back up in case anything happened with the investor. So, we agreed and we kept looking for a house. Well... the investor ended up backing out! So, we have been busy as can be negotiating repairs and the contract on the house. They accepted everything last night and we are REALLY happy with what they have agreed to. So, we are well on our way! We should be closing on the 22nd of January. We still have rent at our current place through February, so that gives us plenty of time to get moved over and all the little touch ups we need to do at the rental.. filling picture holes and such. We are really excited! The kids will be changing schools, so I have that all lined up. I go to their schools the first week in February to get that all situated! We have been SO busy though! What a way to start the New Year! We are so happy and blessed!

Okay... on to why you are really here :)  Today I am sharing my first January post for Cuddly Buddly!

For this card I used Best Buddies Just To Say - Pachela Studios Digi Stamps which you can find in the Cuddly Buddly Shop! I just LOVE these images! They are so perfect to decoupage! Just LOVE them!!  So many layers... really easy to layer!

I colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I used some Copic Opaque White for some highlights. The Good Luck stamped on the sign was from Paper Smooches. I added the white net ribbon and the white sparkle fiber. I also added a few pearls.I have no idea who the papers are from. They were in my stash.

I'm posting my second Cuddly Buddly post for December! Here is what I've done:

For this one I've used Silver Snow Fairy from Karen's Fairies and Ladies which you can find at the Cuddly Buddly Shop. I colored him with Copic Markers and Glittered up all the fur on his clothing :)  I added a bit of White Opal Liquid Pearls to look like snow. I also used my Snow Marker.. which I'm out of!! I must get more! LOL I used it for the snow piles around his feet. I did a bit of stitching on the small rectangles on the card and on the inside of the card as well. I added a bit of ribbon and the Happy Birthday tag. I thought this would be a nice winter birthday card.

Good morning!! And a very Happy Wednesday!! I really hope your week is going well! I've been buried in budget so far this week, but my part is finished for now I think! And now.. we are halfway through the week! On Thursday we get to have a nice lunch at a nice restaurant with one of our vendors. So, that will be a nice long lunch LOL Every little bit helps!  Then Friday! I'm counting down... the weekends don't get here quick enough and they certainly don't last long enough!!

Today I'm posting for my first Cuddly Buddly post for December:

For my first Cuddly Buddly creation I decided to go with a Birthday card. For this card I've used Freddy Frog and Ginger from Kim McFarlane and Punny Animals Stamps 2. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and I did a bit of decoupage. I added a bit of stitching to the card. I embossed the yellow banner. I also colored the sentiment a bit. November Cuddly Buddly.

Good morning!

Today I am sharing my second Cuddly Buddly post with you for November:

I decided to use the Budding Vine Corner from Lilyboo's Pretty Cottage. Once I had those colored up I knew that I wanted to do just a pretty simple card, but I needed some fantastic sentiment to go in the middle. And what better sentiment to put in the middle but a wonderful scripture!!  And then I found Kim MacFarlane's Holy Scriptures and I knew I had found what I wanted. I saw this scripture which she put into the shape of the Cross and I just LOVE it!! That is when it came together. I colored the corner with my Copic Markers. I added some stitching, some Embossing Enamel and the pearls. It is a pretty simple card for me, but I don't think its quite CAS. LOL  Oh well! Maybe it would be considered CAS to some? I'm not even sure! That is how CAS illiterate I am!! I also inked around the white paper with Rose ink. I layered the same papers on the inside and added some stitching and pearls to finish it off.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Flower: R20, R22, R24
  • Leaves: YG01, YG05, YG09
  • Vine: E31, E34, E35, E37

First November Cuddly Buddly.

Good morning everyone!! It is only Tuesday.. Yay!! LOL  Another day of work. Kevin is going to ride up into the mountains to bring my oldest some things that she wanted. Me... I'll be at work.. I don't think that's very fair! :p  The kids are out of school today because they set up the polls at the schools. Nothing like giving them another day off   o.O   That's about it; I'll be working my butt off today.. trying to get a bunch done/caught up. And in my spare time I'll be setting up the posts for Open-Minded for next year. LOL yes... I'm THAT OCD! I like to have all the posts ready and just have to put in the creations from everyone! LOL  So sad.. I know!!  I hope you all have a WONDERFUL day and rest of your week!!!

Here is my first Cuddly Buddly post for November!

I love this image! This is Best Buddies Surprise which you can find in the Cuddly Buddly Digital Shop. I did some decoupage on this one. I popped the bush and the front tree... then I popped the buddies and grass one more level and then I popped the front porcupine one more time since he was the closest. The little bird flying was all popped up once. This was colored with my Copic Markers with added detail with my Prismacolor Fine Black Markers. The sky/clouds were done with chalk. I took the paper in the background, embossed it with the dots and then used the sand paper to scrape the tops of the dots. I distressed the green papers, added a bit of stitching and added the ribbon. This was such a fun image to color and decoupage!!
