I love our sponsors so much! They are so generous to sponsor our challenges! Be sure to visit them and spread the love! They deserve it! What would do without them!! They make our crafts so wonderful with their fantastic images!!

Alright...here is my project for "Luck"!

I have used the image Tinkles from our wonderful sponsor Make It Crafty! I colored her up with my Copic Markers and I did a little bit of layering on her. I added a bit of gold glitter around the edges of the bells. I also used some Opaque White to do some highlights on her. I used all scraps for this card. Still trying hard to use my scraps and get through some this year. The circle die is a My Favorite Thing stitched circle. I added some dry embossing to the two different shades of green strips across the middle. The clover is a Sizzix die that I cut three times with two shades of green and a clover patterned paper scrap in my scrap box. The tag is also a Sizzix die. The sentiment, 'Good Luck', is from Paper Smooches. I stamped it three times on the little tag and it is hidden behind the circle. I took a photo of the front with it tucked in and then one with it pulled out. I added a bit of white sparkle fiber and a horseshoe charm at the top and then added some green gems. She is a fun little elf! I had a blast coloring her up green to match the papers and the luck theme!

  • Mouth: R56
  • Cheeks: R22

Winners and Midway Post for Challenge #25 at Open-Minded Crafting Fun Today!

Good morning! It is Saturday morning!!  Kevin and I got approved for a house loan last week so we have been out looking at houses. Our lease is up here at the end of February and I have to give the landlord a 60 day notice.. so really we have to get going LOL  Doesn't give us as much time as we were thinking!  Today we will be out again looking at homes. We looked on line... we narrowed that list down. Now we are going by the houses and narrowing it down more and then we will have our short list of homes that we want to go inside to see. It is working well. We saw at least 20 homes yesterday and we narrowed it down to two that we want to see the inside LOL  So, I think thats pretty good! And me.. well.. I have it all organized LOL  People who know me laugh .. won't you Vicky :p  But it worked for us yesterday!!  Hopefully we will get a lot done today. I need some time to craft!

We have winners! They are posted on the Open-Minded Crafting Fun blog this morning for Challenge #24. Be sure to come back at noon to see all of the fantastic Midway creations for Challenge #25!

Our amazing sponsors for Challenge #25 are:

Here is mine:

For this card I've used Ashee from A & T Digital Stamps. Ashee is not a Christmas stamp... so I used a non Christmas Stamp and really some non Christmas colors for my unusual aspect for Challenge #25. I added the black lace, the ribbon, the bells and a bit of glitter on those white spots on the mushroom. Those little white spots on the mushroom are the only decoupage on this piece. I used Copic markers to color and a Christmas stamp with white ink on black.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Hat and Tights: RV21, RV23, RV25; W5, W7, W9
  • Mushroom: R24, R35, R46; E50, E51

Winners and Rolling Out The Red Midway Post at Open-Minded Crafting Fun!.

Good morning! And a very happy Saturday!! The kids are in Atlanta with my sister. They went to stay with her yesterday for Midtown Atlanta. It's a big music festival in Atlanta. They are very excited! It started on Friday and goes through Saturday. This morning I am up at the crack of dawn to head to Atlanta to grab Bailey though. She has her first Lacrosse game today and it is an hour away! That is the furthest game though and the majority of them are at the high school here or close by. So, that will be my day; getting her to her game and then getting her back to my sisters! It is gorgeous in the mornings though so it will be a great ride!! Other than that... Thursday the boys both had eye appointments... and on Friday it was the girl's turn. I did go with Kevin and Michael on Thursday and then Bailey and I headed back Friday morning. Now it is the weekend.. time to relax and create!!  Have a great weekend everyone!!

This morning you will find the Winners and DT Picks at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. Then at noon you will find the midway post with additional inspiration from the team!! Our sponsors for Challenge #19: Roll Out The Red are:

We are so blessed with amazing sponsors! And I can't thank them enough!!  Be sure to visit them to show your support!  Where would be without our amazing artists who create amazing images so we can in turn create our crafts!!

Okay.. on to my creation for our Roll Out The Red Midway:

For this one I created a little gift card holder box using my Cameo!  Have I told you how much fun I'm having with it? LOL!!!  For the top I used a Stitchy Bears image - Apple Pie and I colored it my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I did a little bit of decoupage on it. I cute the apple with the Cameo and used all scrap papers from my fall papers from last year. The die cut used to cut the image is a Spellbinders die. I added some red chalk around the edge of that die. I used two different stamps to stamp inside the apple and I stitched around the edge of that top paper. I added the patterned papers around the edge and you can see the inside holds a card.

Open-Minded Crafting Fun is Rolling Out The Red!.

Good morning!

So, today we are starting Challenge #19 over at Open-Minded Crafting Fun. Our challenge theme for this fortnight is going to be Roll Out The Red. We want to see lots of red! It doesn't matter what kind of theme.. autumn, fall, birthday, Christmas.. that is entirely up to you.. We just want to see it all dressed up in Red!! :)  Our wonderful sponsors for Challenge #19 are:

Here is what I have come up with:

As you can see I decided to go the Christmas route on this one. And I made a little bag! The image I used is Holiday Truck from the wonderful Scribbles Designs. I cut the bag with my We R Memory Keepers Punch Board. I had the most fun decoupaging this beauty!! I wanted it all layered.. with the different layers of gifts all stepped.. I love it!! I tried to take some photos to show it, but it doesn't really show you that well. I added the sparkle fiber to it. The papers are all scraps from last years Christmas papers. I added the little charm to top it off and the ribbon as the handle for the bag. The image was colored up with my Copic Markers and the ornaments on the tree were colored with my glittery Spicas.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Truck Red: R37, R39, RV99
  • Christmas Bag and Ribbons: R14, R35, R46, R59

Crafting When We Can Colour Combo!

First off.. to all of you mothers out there!!!

***HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY***

And a very happy Sunday to you!! So it has been a pretty good week. I feel good, but the cough is hanging on LOL I gave whatever I had to Kevin, but he is feeling a bit better too. My youngest started getting sniffly too LOL! It was a busy week at work too, but a good :)  And now it is the weekend and it is suppose to rain on Saturday, Mother's Day on Sunday and I'm just going to relax and color... like a little kid!

Oh!! And I got a new toy! I got the Envelope Punch Board.. so I will have to try that out this weekend too!! And now when I have odd sized envelopes, I will be able to make them!! Woot!! hehehe  Alright.. have a great rest of your weekend everyone!!

Yesterday I worked in the garden, weeding. I'm so excited to see everything flowering! I can't wait to be able to pick some vegetables!! We should have cucumbers, tomatoes, peas, squash, zucchini, bell peppers (capsicum), peppers, radish, onion and green onions.

So, this morning, Kevin is sick. He sounds like he has what I had a couple of weeks ago. Some really awful stomach bug. He has been up all night. I'll have to watch him and make sure he is getting better or take him to the doctor. We'll see how that goes.

Now on to the new challenge at Crafting When We Can. We are on Challenge #44 which is a Colour Combo challenge. This challenge is to use Lime Green & Pink. Here is what I came up with for this challenge:

The awesome image I used is Poppy Set from Dilly Beans. I colored this image with Copic. I used a bunch of die cuts on this; Spellbinders and Memory Box. The dies are the ovals in the back of the girl, the label beneath her, the swirls under the ovals and the flowers in each of the four corners. I added the little buttons from my stash in the center and the hello is from a Doodlebug/Hampton Art stam set. I popped a few of the flowers and the bows in her hair. The green paper is from an old Club Scrap set and it is embossed with a wood grain. The front pink is glitter paper. The bright pink is just random card stock I have LOL

Copic:
R81, R83, R85
YG00, YG01, YG06, YG07, YG09
E21, E30, E31
