Fairy Magic*

Good evening! And a very happy Thursday, almost Friday! I have had such a productive week at work. It has been a really good week. Tomorrow, Bailey has a mandatory Spring Lacrosse meeting at 7:45 am. Then she has a doctor appointment. Then it is off to school for her and I have some work to get done. And it is Friday tomorrow! That is fantastic! Time for the weekend again! We don't really have any plans for the weekend. Her coach said something about a team needing a goalie. She gave the coach Bailey's email, but she hasn't heard from them, so we will see. Other than that it will be Hallmark Christmas movies and crafting LOL!!  My family is already sick of Hallmark. I'm not sure if we have a V8 race this weekend, but from Scott McLaughlin's posts, I'm thinking there is no race this weekend. No V8's and no MotoGP .... that means crafting and movies or crafting and music.  I hope you all have a great rest of your evening and a great day!!

Here is my card for today:







For this card I have used Fairy Magic from All Dressed Up. I've colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils. The background I used a dark grey pencil and Gamsol. I also used some blue Wink of Stella on the wings and on the edge of the blue butterfly. I also used some pink Wink of Stella on the edges of the pink butterflies and also on the Fairy Magic. The circle around the image was cut using a Spellbinders Die and the small butterflies.. I think they were a Spellbinders die ... but it could have been a My Favorite Thing too. I can't remember. I've added some pearls to the butterflies. Around the circle are some glass beads and then I also added the lace.

Good morning everyone! Oh Happy Days!!! It is Friday! Finally Friday!! LOL  Woot! Today I have some running around to do at work, which means I will leave around noon or so. Other than that I'll get my walking done in the morning (45 minutes) and then another 30 minutes at lunch time. We are not doing a whole lot this weekend. I'm taking my two girls and my mother to the Major League Lacrosse game that will be here in Kennesaw. It is the championship game! I'm really excited! Oh.. and they are announcing the expansion team that will be coming to Georgia today too. All kinds of Lacrosse excitement LOL That's it though.. other than that I'm just going to chill around the house and craft I hope! Have a wonderful Friday everyone!!

I LOVE otters! Here is my creation for today:









For this card, the image was colored with my copic markers. It was done so long ago I can't remember what I used. I cut the butterflies and the flowers. The flowers actually are two different types of flowers. The middle has a rolled rose in it. I added some stickles to the edge of the flowers and butterflies. There are pearls on the butterflies as well. The circle under the flowers was cut using the Cameo; it was a circle of leaves. I added two pieces of washi tape .. that is the blue banner cut tape. I also added some twine and the butterfly charm. On the image, I covered the cattails with clear glass balls which added some texture. I used clear UTEE at the bottom on the water to give it a shimmer and make it really look like water. There are even some "splashes" on the otter :)  To finish it off I added some sequins in blue shades. I also added the sequins to the inside to finish it off.

Lots of Layers with Tammy's Scrapin Corner

http://crafty-emblies.blogspot.co.uk/p/challenge.htmlGood morning everyone!! Today we have Lots of Layers over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner. I didn't use the best image to show a lot of layers LOL Even though I got a bunch of layers in there, but I LOVE this image. I had planned on using my normal decoupage with it and that would have given me more layers, but decided on coloring it with my Prismacolor pencils. I colored one with the pencils only and the other I used Gamsol with my pencils. It was fun! Here are the two cards:

Card Not Using Gamsol:

So, with this one I just colored, shaded, etc with the colored pencils. I used yellow, icicle and purple Stickles. I also used White Opal Liquid Pearls for different spots of white. I used one of my edge punches for the green and blue layers. I added the doily die cuts that I just won from a challenge. They are from My Craft Spot. I added glass beads around the doily cuts and I added gems to the bottom.

For the second card, I used all the same items, but instead of just using the Prismacolor Pencils, I used Gamsol when coloring the image. I used the pencils around the edge and used the Gamsol which melts the pencil and spreads it out. I think it really looks good. Here is that card:

I love Bugaboo images :)  And their scenes are no exception. So that is it for me this week :)  I can't wait to see all of your layers!!

This having to work full time stinks! ;)
