Happy Father's Day Box Card

Good morning everyone!! It is only Tuesday and it has been one heck of a week so far LOL!!!  I keep telling myself if can only get better, it can only get better, it can only get better! HAHA!  And the Lord only gives me what I can handle! So I can persist, carry on and do my best :) And that is all I can do!

So, here is a card I finished up this weekend:









For this card I've used All Tied Up from QKR Stampede. He is colored with Copic Markers and layered a bit. All of the cuts are done using the Silhouette Cameo. I've used black and brown card stock and a bit of striped patterned paper scraps for those stars. Even the Happy Father's Day is a bit tan, although it looks white on here. I've inked all of the papers too with black ink. I've added some brown glitter to the Father's insert. I love how the back of the card is decorated and cut to allow for writing. I thought that was just perfect! And that is it... simple card, but a box card. Thanks for looking!

Good morning!! Today is a busy Taxi Mom day!!!  After Michael does the mowing he is going to school to help build the set for drama. Bailey spent the night with a friend, but I have to pick her up and get her to her Lacrosse game in Decatur.. that will take us about an hour to get to. Her game starts at 2 pm, she has to be there at 1 pm and that means I have to leave here about 11:30 to go get her and then on the road to her game. It is CHILLY out this morning too!! Loving it!!! Then... Bailey wants to go back to her friends because she is having a house warming party or something like that. So, yes.. busy day today!! I'm hoping to get home so I can relax and work on some cards! My goal is to finish up my October DT cards this weekend!

For this card I've used Boo and Snookie from A & T Digital Designs. I colored them up with my Copic Markers. I did do some decoupage with the snail, snail shell, wings. The die cut it a Spellbinders die. All of the papers are from my last years Fall supply LOL Trying to use up what I have! I added the ribbon, stitched around the edge. I added gems around the edge of the die cut. The little squirrel and the nut are cut from the Cameo.  I added glitter to the swirly parts of the nuts.

Midway at Open-Minded Crafting Fun.

Here is my creation:








I used some scrap papers from Club Scrap. I've used several dies.. The edge border is from Memory Box. The corner, circle and label is from Spellbinders. I added some stitching, gems and the buttons and twine. The image is Alligator Tears from QKR Stampede. I colored the image with my Copic markers and did a little decoupage. I layered up everything except for the back hand and leg, then again the front leg and arm.

Extra Texture at Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Happy Monday everyone. Yesterday Kevin got sick again with that awful stomach flu. I can't disinfect any more than I have, so I'm not sure what else to do. This is the second time he has had it and it is just awful. I'm glad it is only a 24 hour bug, but that doesn't help when you are going through it. So that was my Sunday... trying to take care of him as best I can. Although... Like me he doesn't want to be messed with so there isn't much you can do LOL That was it.. and I had to finish this card, so I worked on that.

Here is my card for Challenge #65: Extra Texture over at Tammy's Scrapin Corner this week:

The image is Little Boy from QKR Stampede. I love cute boy images with frogs and bugs !! LOL  I colored the image with Copic. The additional bugs and frog and that strip of jean are all stickers. The big frog at the bottom is a SandyLion Sticker from Little Boys Sticker Sheet. The jean strip, jar with the lightning bug and the strip of frogs on the inside are also from SandyLion and its from Little Boys Border Sheet. The bigger bug in the upper corner and all the little bugs are from Provo Craft - Meadow. I decoupaged some of the image.. the frog, front arm and slingshot. I popped a lot of the stickers. The extra texture came from the Jim Holtz Sizzix Embossing Folder. I added some chalk and used a brown Copic Multiliner to add detail to the brick embossing. I distressed the edges of the papers. The papers are all random papers from my stash... The green splat paper is Doodlebug, the green dragonfly paper is Bo Bunny and the boy words paper is Fundamentals. I created the sentiment which I put on the inside.

Tammy's Scrapin Corner has a New Recipe Challenge For You

Happy Monday everyone!! Today beings a new challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner!! We have Challenge #57 which is a Recipe Challenge: 1 Image, 2 Dies and 3 Embellishments. Here is my creation for this challenge:

For this one I used an awesome image from QKR Stampede - Totally In Love. I used Copic to color the image and it was a really fun image to color! They are just too cute!! So, my 1 Image is the QKR image, 2 Dies are two different Cheery Lynn Dies - Mini Fanciful Flourish and Fanciful Flourish and 3 Embellishments are brads, charm and twine. I can't wait to see what everyone makes!! This was a fun, easy recipe!! Have fun with it!! The papers are all from my stash and I have no idea what they are from. The flourishes were cut out of sparkly paper. The sentiment is a stamp from K. Andre Designs. I LOVE the texture on the snails LOL I think they are so cute!! And this is a Center Step Card! Alright... Your turn!! Let's see what you've got!!!

Another good day yesterday!! It was really a fantastic weekend.. the temperature was perfect!!! We went out on the bike again yesterday. We found this little restaurant on the lake. We had a burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! It was really fantastic. It was a GORGEOUS day for a ride too!! Now it's time to head to work soon yet again!! The weekends really go by too quickly!! The kids are out of school this week for Spring Break. We aren't going anywhere, so it will be a week at home. I have some chores for them to do each day, but not too much. They can just relax and have a good week away from school. Alright... I hope you all have a great day!! I'm going to try to get a post for tomorrow showing the room and the awesome shelves hubby made me :)  It's going to be a beautiful week here! I hope everyone is well (Vicky!) hehehe And I hope you all have a beautiful week too!!

Challenge #52 @ Tammy's Scrapin Corner

Good morning everyone!!! and Happy Monday :)  This is going to be a smooth week at work I'm hoping. All of the bosses are away at a convention in New Orleans. I'm looking forward to a quiet week hopefully!

This weekend we didn't do much... a bit of shopping on Saturday and church on Sunday. It's been pretty chilly this weekend. We had snow flurries all day yesterday and this morning. Nothing sticks though... I would love a good snow storm! Okay.. on to this challenge for this week...

Today we begin Challenge #52 @ Tammy's Scrapin Corner. Our theme this week is Red and Green Plus a Ribbon.

I used an image from QKR Stampede - Rose Label. I colored the image with Copic. I popped the roses and a couple of the leaves. I cut out the frame and roses. I put white cardstock behind it with one of my rubber stamps stamped on it.. its a rose. I used a Paper Smooches sentiment on the card and another rubber stamp rose on the inside. the red paper is embossed with dots. I added three green brads and the red/white dot ribbon bow. The chevron paper is from some scraps.
