Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi Everyone! And I hope you all have had a very Happy Valentine's Day!! I have spent the day with my wonderful husband. I got him a new Kindle, because he needed one! :)  And we went out and had lunch. Other than that we have just hung out at home together. And for us .. that is perfection!

What else has we been up to? The kids are out of school next week. Michael has been working. He also has another ingrown toenail. I have a feeling we will end up at the doctor again for that. He was soaking it this morning, but he couldn't get it cut. He is wanting to wait it out, because he knows it will hurt when they cut it. Bailey helped Kevin and I shovel some crush and run yesterday. We put that in the bike port and the walkway to the house. We also filled up the spots in the driveway that are broken. I think it will take some time to settle and dry out, but I think it will be well worth it. It is much better than the mud that we had. Today, she has gone to spend a couple of days with a friend.

Tomorrow it is back to work and Kevin has an Ultrasound. The weekend has just flown by so quickly! Now, I wanted to share a card with you. This was my first custom order on Etsy. I had someone purchase a card and then ask if I would make her daughter a custom card for her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. She calls him Peach Butt and wanted it to say Happy Valentine's Day Peach Butt. So, with that in mind, this is what I came up with:

For this custom card I created a Peach shape to cut with the Silhouette Cameo. I was able to use scraps for this card! I'm really digging into them. I inked it all up with my Distress Inks to give it that peach flavor :)  I cute the leaves with some die cuts on some embossed paper, stamped the Happy Valentine's Day. Peach Butt was cut with one of my Sizzlit letters and the hearts are a Memory Box die. The little peach is an emoticon that she wanted me to use. The red glitter circles are stickers. And that is it! I had a lot of fun making this unique card! I hope I can have some custom orders again :)

Hot Cuppa Bear*

Good morning everyone... Happy Tuesday!! Time to head off to work. At least it is not raining today! I will be cold, but not wet! :D  I was able to get a lot done yesterday at work... I'm hoping for another good day. I have no complaints about the cold weather.. I love the cold! I love it way better than the hot. So, that is it for me today.. work.. come home and hopefully craft. Bailey is staying after to get some help from her math teacher to catch up on what she missed. Michael works today too. It will be just another day :)  But always a beautiful day! Every day is a beautiful day!!  And I hope you all have a wonderful day today!!

Here is my wintery card:

For this winter card I have used Mug Bear from Gerda Steiner Designs. This is the Image of the month. I've colored him up with my Faber-Castell Polychromos. I did a small amount of layering with his nose, hands and feet. The background I created using Distress Inks and water. I splattered some white paint on it as well to give it some snow. Then I've added some texture at the bottom to make it look like snow or frost along the edge. The patterned papers are all scraps. I've inked the edges of all the papers. I've cut around the image with a My Favorite Thing die cut.  Then I've added the snow flake swirl cut from a Memory Box die. I've added some glitter that. I've also added the same to the inside. I've also added to the inside and out, the snowflakes which were cut from a sizzlit die. I've also added glitter to these. On the outside I've added some blew mini dew drops to the inside of the snowflake. I've also added some ribbon. There are some gems on the side as well. The inside has the snow flake die cuts all covered with glitter and some gems and mini dew drops as well. I've added a strip of ribbon to the inside and let it hand below.

Priceless Friendship Dragon*

Good morning everyone and a very happy Saturday! Hubby woke me up this morning with Breakfast! How SWEET is he!!! I thought he was kidding at first LOL! So, I got up and had a nice breakfast and then watched the V8 Supercars Qualifying at Mt. Panorama, Bathurst. Then we watched the MotoGP Practices that we had left. I'll have to take a nap today so I can try to stay up and watch Bathurst tonight. A full weekend of racing and crafting! It just doesn't get much better than that!!  And on top of that we have a beautiful rain! It couldn't be more perfect! :D  I hope you all have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

Here is a card from me today:

For this card I've used Dragon Friend from Tiddly Inks. I've printed it on kraft and colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I've added a bit of blue Wink of Stella on his belly and wings. I've also added some purple Wink Of Stella on some of the Stars on the card. I've added a Magnolia Doohickey die .. the stars on the side. I took those negatives, the stars, and added them around the card. I did a bit of stitching. I wanted to use a different stitch on it.. I like how the stitching turned out. The edge of the image was colored with ChalkOla Chalk Markers. I love how these markers are going on.. very smooth and even lines. Love it! The three tags are cut with a sizzlit die and I added the three brads to those. I also used the negative cut from the Magnolia Doohickey die on the inside with a bit of purple Wink of Stella. The sentiment stamps are Unity.

Happy Halloween Sorceress*

Good morning! Time to get back to work! Today I am working from home. I have to bring Michael to a Neurology Appointment this morning. Then I'll bring him to school after that. I'm watching my Father-In-Laws flight as it treks across the ocean back towards Australia. Other than that, I'll be working. I hope you all have a great day today!!

Here is my first Halloween card of the season:

I've used Blair Blaze from KennyK. I colored her with Copic Markers and did a small amount of layering. I added a bit of clear Wink of Stella onto her flame dress and flame hair. The card was cut using my Cameo. I love the spiderweb design. This is a simple card because of that design. I cut Happy Halloween with some of my Sizzlits. Then I added a bit of twine and the rhinestone skull charm to the side to finish it off.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Flames Green: YG01, YG05, YG09
  • Flames Purple: V01, V12, V15, V17
  • Skin: E000, E00, E01, E11, E13
  • Black: T3, T5, T7, T9

Meljen's Designs November DT Inspiration.

Good morning everyone! I think I feel a little bit better today. I haven't decided yet LOL  I hate being sick! Today is my son's birthday... so Kevin is out with my youngest doing some shipping for cake and stuff. That's my day! Hoping to feel a bit better.

So, today is my inspiration post at Meljen's Designs. I have been wanting to try this creation for a while now and when I decided which image I was going to use this month I decided that this was the image to use for this:

So, I think they are classifying this as a card, but I'm going with a Christmas Decoration LOL!! I didn't add a sentiment and the gifts are all glued down, so there is really no way to fold this up and put it in an envelope. For that... I think it justifies calling it a Christmas Decoration! I'm trying to decide if I should keep it and put it out at Christmas or if I should give it as a gift... to my mother or something! I'm just not sure! Anyway!!  I used Christmas Tree which you can find at the Meljen's Designs Shop. I LOVE this image! I think I use it every year LOL I just LOVE to decoupage it!!  It is perfect! I decoupaged each layer of the tree and then the gifts. I have inked everything in Tea Dye ink. I used a bunch of random Christmas paper scraps from last year to create this. I used ribbon around each gift. I layered the snowflake dies.. those are Sizzlits. I also added a small snowflake corner.. I believe that is Memory Box, but I'm not 100% sure. I also added a Holly corner that is sort of hidden behind the square gift at the bottom. There are also two snowflake border die cuts.. I know that those are Memory Box. I added white pearls to the large layered snowflake centers. I added small gems on some parts of the snowflake corner and border dies. The star on the tree and the ornaments have some Stickles on them and the lights have some Diamond Glaze on them. Hard to see that in the photos. I distressed the layers of paper on the bottom and inked the dies and the paper around the image. The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol  And I think that is about it! It took me 2 days to make this... well... that isn't counting the coloring and decoupaging.. with that I would say 3 days. It was really fun to make though! I doubt I will do another though!!

SLSLines November New Release.

Good morning!

Today is the inspiration for the November New Release at SLSLines Digital Stamps. There are some fun winter images ready for you to use!!

For the new release I am using Beatnik Snowman! He is Groovy Man! I colored him up with my Copic Markers. I decoupaged him a bit too. I added some Diamond Glaze to his glasses to make the glasses look better! For the card I used some tye die type patterned paper that I had.. I thought it would fit him well! I used some white glitter paper in the background and I used two embossing folders on that paper... One side is done in swirls and the other half in snowflakes. The top white paper I used only the snowflake folder. I added the snowflake ribbon, some white dew drops and that single white snowflake die cut (sizzlits). The sentiment was created by me. I also added some stitching around the papers. On the inside I added the icicle border on the top with a bit of stitching in there as well.

  • Hat and Glasses: C00, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9

  • Goatee: E31, E34, E35, E37
