Dragon Potion.

Good morning!!  It is Wednesday.. we are halfway through the week! Yippee!! I have so much to do this week. I'm working to get it all done. We will see how it goes today. If I can get the majority of it done today I will be in good shape! That is is this week.. work work work. I'm trying to craft at night. I'll be coloring tonight. Last night I was able to finish a card I'd been working on for the last couple of days. That is what I am sharing today. This weekend it is races... I can't wait until the weekend. Racing and Crafting... it can't get much better than that.

Here is my card for today:

This is Dragon's Tear from The East Wind. The image is colored with my Copic Markers and I also used Chalk Ola Chalk Markers. I've done a small amount of layering on this image to give it more of a 3D look that he is wrapping himself around the bottle. I've used this image for the Texture challenge at The East Wind Challenge Blog. For texture I've done a couple of things.. I've layered the bottle with Diamond Glaze, I've distressed the edges of the patterned paper, I've added stitching. Not your normal way of adding texture I guess, but I think it definitely added texture. I created the Sentiment and added black, white and purple Chalk Ola dots around the sentiment, in the potion and on the black paper on the outside and the inside. I also added clear Wink of Stella over the potion. Under the Diamond Glaze it adds a bit of sparkle. All of the papers are scraps. I think I've finished up some of my Halloween scraps that I love so much!! The Bump In The Night is a sticker.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Green: G12, G14, G16, G19, G29
  • Potion: W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
  • Red: R20, R22, R24, R29, R59

Purple Aurora Birthday*

Good morning everyone!! I am off until Monday!!  Yippee!!  I'm hoping to go to the movies with Kevin either today or tomorrow. We will see how that works out. Yesterday was a full day of work and I brought some work home as well. I need to finish up a bit today and then put it away until Monday! What I really want to do is color! And I need to do a card with some embroidery on it. That will be a challenge!  Alright.. enough of me :)  On to the card for today:

For this card I've used Aurora Gift from The East Wind. She is colored with Copic Markers and a small amount of layering was done. The flower background was cut using a My Favorite Things die. The inside rectangle is also a My Favorite Thing die and I inked a bit of purple around the edge. I added a bit of purple lace and then the sparkle fiber on top of it. I made a little pompom with the fiber and added the gem on top of it. The ribbon on the gift has some clear Wink of Stella on it.  On the inside I added some additional lace and sparkle fiber.

Christmas Witch.

Good morning! And a very Happy Monday!! I can't believe it's time to go back to work already! The weekends go by so quickly! This morning I'm headed to work. I need to go to the gym first and then to my desk to begin my day. Did you have a good weekend?

Sunday was just a lazy day. I colored all day and got my images ready for my new card. I need to work on the actual card when I get home. I'm hoping that I can finish it today! We will see. That was my day yesterday. I love when I have days that I can just craft and not worry about anything else. I don't get that much done during the week. Have a great week everyone!

Here is one for today:

This image is a The East Wind image... I love this little witch! I've created with her before and I had this one colored and just waiting to be created into something. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and I added a bit of yellow glitter to the star. I went with a circle card for this one. All of the circles, including the base, were all cut with dies that I have. The snowflakes are pieces from a Memory Box corner die that I cut. Then there is the doily that I added, then twine and the little white bells. The sentiment is stamped. For the inside I did a border of the paper strips. I thought that was a unique way to decorate the inside.

Good morning!

Today is a new challenge at The East Wind! Can you believe it is the 1st of April!! The challenge this time around is to Make Mine Extra Sassy! (image or sentiment with attitude). Here is what I have come up with:

This is the lovely Aurora Summer Breeze (F0415)!! Isn't she beautiful!! I colored her with my copic markers. I also used a white gel pen. I added a bit of stitching, the sassy sentiment. The oval die is a My Favorite Things die and the purple oval is a Spellbinders die. There is a bit of lace, some white dew drops and the fan dies as well. For the background I splattered white and purple paint on the black paper. I love splattered paint!

New Image Release at The East Wind

Good morning everyone!!  Yesterday I had a stress test .... this was my last clearance before surgery. Now I'm just waiting for the okay. I should have surgery scheduled in the next two or three weeks. When she told me that yesterday the nerves hit me!  So, I meet with the Cardiologist on Thursday and then with the Bariatric Surgeon next Tuesday!  So, we will see!!  I have a lot of mixed feelings... excitement, nervousness, scared! Did I excited?? LOL  I'm really excited.. and really nervous at the same time!  Okay.. enough of that... on to my post :)

Today I am sharing one of the new release images from March for The East Wind. Here is what I have done:

I am trying to use my pencils to get more experience, so I used my pencils for this one. I'm pretty sure I used my Faber-Castell Polychromos on this image. I decided to keep her all pink with a touch of blue and create a Breast Cancer card.. an 'I'm here for you'. I added two types of lace, some thread attached the 'Hope' charm that I found at Michaels in the jewelry section. The two rectangles are cut with Spellbinders dies. I added a few pearls near the sentiment, pink gems around the inner rectangle and stamped the ribbon at the top. I also stamped 'Fight Like A Girl' to the inside of the card. I did a bit of layering on this image; hopefully you can see in the photos well enough.

A Spring In Her Step

Good morning everyone! And Happy Sunday!! Can you believe it is half way through March already! Wow!!  We have had a busy weekend so far! Bailey was goalie for the U13 girls game on Saturday at 11:30 am. We were there at 9:30 am to get a little time i. This was only her 2nd game in the goal and she loves it! She had 11 saves! It was a tough game.. the other team was pretty darn good. They took a loss today. Bailey is doing so well in goal though! I'm so proud of her. Last night we went and did some more practice with her... Kevin was directing her a bit. It was good to all be out there.

Okay.. on to our challenge! We are on Challenge #27 at The East Wind and the theme is 'A Spring In Her Step' (spring themed). This is a birthday card, but I went with spring colors:

I used the image Hybiscus for this challenge. You can find that in The East Wind Shop. I went with greens and pinks. I added the crinkle ribbon and some dew drops. I also added some sequins in pink and green. I added a bunch of flowers in the bottom corner. On one of the layers I added some stitching. The  dies are Spellbinders. I colored the image with my Copic Markers. I also did a bit of stamping and some stitching too; That's it!

Challenge #26 @ The East Wind

Good morning everyone! Wow!! This is my first post since January! But... we bought a house, got all moved in and settled. Took a bit to get there and get to where I could start crafting again! On top of that I have been going to a boat load of doctor appointments in preparation of Gastric Bypass Surgery. We have been very busy here :) It is so good to be back!

For today, the first of March! Can you believe that!!!  My oldest daughter will be 21 years old on March 9th!! WOW!!!  I can't believe I have a kid 21!!! LOL  Yikes!!  And then my birthday follows closely after that. Getting old! HAHAHA!!  Okay.. let me get back on track LOL!!  Today is the new challenge at The East Wind!!  We are on Challenge #26 and this is a Freebie Challenge with the theme of Doodle Doodle Do (add some doodling)!! I love to doodle! And this freebie is UnkyToons Craft Time!!  AND I LOVE HER!!!  But then... I always love Kyra's images!! And her HUGE generosity to give us such wonderful freebies each month!! AMAZING!!!  So, be sure you are part of The East Wind group and have the monthly newsletter sent!  Sign up now if you haven't... you certainly don't want to miss anything!! Here is what I've done:

I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with this image and I saw this hat and thought... how perfect!!!  So, off I went... cutting my pieces with my Cameo. The image is colored with my Copic Markers. I layered her a bit. All of the papers were out of my scrap boxes. I had quite a bit of Halloween scraps LOL  And these were perfect I thought! I came up with the tag idea of 'Have Some Candy My Pretties' and cut it out with the Cameo. I added the bat sticker and the brad in the middle of that cut flower. I attached the tag to the top of the hat with a wrapping of twine. I also added a bottlecap to the side with the poison circle cutout in it and that is covered with Diamond Glaze. I also added two of those spider web stickers. Then I went to town doodling with my white pen.
