Priceless Friendship Dragon*

Good morning everyone and a very happy Saturday! Hubby woke me up this morning with Breakfast! How SWEET is he!!! I thought he was kidding at first LOL! So, I got up and had a nice breakfast and then watched the V8 Supercars Qualifying at Mt. Panorama, Bathurst. Then we watched the MotoGP Practices that we had left. I'll have to take a nap today so I can try to stay up and watch Bathurst tonight. A full weekend of racing and crafting! It just doesn't get much better than that!!  And on top of that we have a beautiful rain! It couldn't be more perfect! :D  I hope you all have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

Here is a card from me today:

For this card I've used Dragon Friend from Tiddly Inks. I've printed it on kraft and colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils. I've added a bit of blue Wink of Stella on his belly and wings. I've also added some purple Wink Of Stella on some of the Stars on the card. I've added a Magnolia Doohickey die .. the stars on the side. I took those negatives, the stars, and added them around the card. I did a bit of stitching. I wanted to use a different stitch on it.. I like how the stitching turned out. The edge of the image was colored with ChalkOla Chalk Markers. I love how these markers are going on.. very smooth and even lines. Love it! The three tags are cut with a sizzlit die and I added the three brads to those. I also used the negative cut from the Magnolia Doohickey die on the inside with a bit of purple Wink of Stella. The sentiment stamps are Unity.

Puppy and Mouse Priceless Friendship*

Good morning! We have finally made it to Friday! Woot!! I will be on my way to work in a few minutes. Yesterday... I worked... and I worked some more. I did go up and walk, but then I worked some more LOL It felt so good to head home! Kevin rode to work with me yesterday morning too.. and it was so cool outside! We had to pull out the sweatshirts to ride! I had a bit of leftover chinese for dinner. The boys had eaten already without me! Kevin always sits with me though.. he is the best :)  Then I took a trip to Michael's. I'm trying to work out what to give everyone for Christmas. And it's always the same old thing... what do you get for people that can get whatever they want. So... I think I have decided on both my sister and my mother finally. I did some shopping at Michael's and some shopping at the Goodwill store. I think I've found a few items that I can repurpose and make them into some nice gifts. We will see! I will post them as I finish them :) Okay.. time to go :)  Have a great day everyone! And Happy Friday!!

Here is a friendship card for today:

Yep.. I tried another CAS! LOL  The image is Snoozing Puppy from Gerda Steiner Design. The adorable little pup and mouse were colored with Copic Markers. I used some brown and bronze spritz for the background. I added a lined stamp over the top of those... you can barely see it under the pup and mouse. I also added a couple of paw prints stamped. I carried that over to the inside and did some paws there as well. The two papers are from my scrap stash. I stamped the True Friends Are Priceless from Unity Stamps. And that is it. My CAS attempt once again.

Copic Markers Used:
  • Puppy Fur: W1, W3, W5, W7, W9
  • Puppy Nose: C3, C7, C9
  • Mouse Fur: E51, E55, E57, E59

My May DT Day At Meljens Designs

Hi everyone!! Today is my May DT Day at Meljens Designs. This month the theme is Inspiration. I thought about it a bit and thought.. You know what my inspiration is each day??  Jesus, Prayer, My Savior, My faith, Hope and that there are still good people in this world. Something pretty new to me, but also something I'm trying to make a priority. So, with that in mind I used the images Faith Hope Love and Faith Hope Butterflies. And here is the card I came up with:

I used all pink and white on this card, which a touch of turquoise on the butterflies. I colored with Copic. I of course did some decoupage/popped several things LOL the lettering in HOPE, the hearts and circles, the butterflies. I used a Spellbinder die cut behind the top image. The two images are Faith Hope Love and Faith Hope Butterflies. On the inside I used two stamps from "Something Within" Unity Stamps. I added the die cut circle and added some gems to it. The pink paper is embossed.  And I think that is it.

Copic:
Hope: R0000, R20, R22, R24
Corners/Hearts: RV11, RV13, RV14
Butterflies: R0000, R20, R22, R24, BG000, BG53, BG57

Two Cards Today

Good morning everyone! I was able to get an additional two cards done last night. It's really amazing that I was able to get three cards finished in one day.. that is unheard of LOL and to not start until late in the day! Of course... the image was already colored and popped and ready to go so I just had to put them on a card. The other card didn't use an image. Without further ado:

The ribbon is from a Me&My Big Ideas Soft Spoken package that I have had for quite some time. Finally time to put some of it to good use :)  I used die cuts for the three circles. The "believe" stamp is from Unity Stamp Company and it is from the "All Things Are Possible" set. The papers are Melissa Frances papers and bazzill cardstock. And the ink is Cameo Coral from Stampin' Up.

Challenges:
Here is my second card:
The image is from Papelitos. I just adore this little Knight! I popped parts of him.. the sword, the arm. The banners were done with an embossing folder and then I painted them with Creative Inspiration paints... I used Gold and Sapphire. The gold I used around the edge of the large banner and then on the pennants. The blue I used on the pennants and around the edge of the gold pennants. It was super easy with the embossing to know where to paint. Every bit of the paper was from scraps.
Copics:
Leather: E30, E33, E35, E39
Skin: E00, E11, E13
Hair: E30, E35, E37, E57, E59
Blue: B60, B66, B69
Red: R29, R39, R59
Metal: C1, C3, C5
Eyes: YG06, YG09
Detailing done with Copic Multiliner Black and Blue

I hope you all have a great day/evening! we will be off to church in a while. Going to spend the rest of the day trying to get some more cards done :)

A Rush of Challenges

I'm in a bit of a rush this morning. Going to get this card up so I can get it into a couple of last minute challenges. Better post later! LOL I'll even up date this one with what I used!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Back from my busy day today. Bailey and I had class this morning and I was in a rush this morning to get this card finished... Well! In my rush.. LOL... I am a dork! I sewed the card together!! So... I'm going to have to either un-stitch it.. or come up with a creative way to make it a card. Oh.. I love my stupid moments!! LOL And all I can do is laugh at myself.

After my rush to get this card done.. Bailey and I went across the street to Archiver's. We did our make a bunch of cards class, but had to leave a half an hour early so again it was rush rush! We went to each station and did what we could do, then we packed everything up and brought it home to later put the cards together LOL At least now I can do what I want to do with them. I like that better! We came back across and picked up Michael to head down to my sisters. We were going to something at Piedmont Park in Atlanta. All I know is that it was something to do with food trucks  *shaking my head* I just don't know.. don't look at me that way! But! Someone called them and told them the lines were too long, it wasn't what they expected so we ended up leaving before we even went in. We stopped and had a philly chease steak at a local restaurant and headed back to her house. At this point.. I'm pretty happy! I get to go home where I have a lot left to do this weekend. So here I am.. finally home again and able to sit down for a minute and relax. I still have some stuff to do, but I will do that tomorrow after church.

I'm just going to take a deep breath and enjoy the calm and not rush rush tonight!

The card... It features stamps from the Loolah Collection from Unity Stamp Company. I colored the ladybugs with Copic R22, R24, R27, R29, N7 and N4 for the ladybug. I used CopicE000around the flower petals and Y35 I colored before I put the pearl in the middle of the flower. I also put some black glitter glue, Studio G from Michael's on the spots of the ladybugs. The pearls I used are from Want 2 Scrap. All of the paper is from my pile of scraps that doesn't seem to be going down one bit LOL And I splattered red Making Memories paint on the card. I love paint splatter! I distressed all the edges of the papers.. tore the white paper on one side and of course my lovely, totally screw up a card sewing LOL Go ahead.. laugh with me.. you know it was a dumb moment LOL
