Teenage Mustache is funny ass stupid shit ,more tardcore than usual,with a cover of Black Sabbath. My pick hit here is ,"Vacationing On The Sun" ,but the whole thing is great! The Blood Red Oscars ,return to recording ,besides appearing on compilations for the last few years ,this is the first full-length (oh,yeah ,it's a split!) ,of new shit from Satan Peabody ,in years!!
5 songs are covers of :Beat Happening ,Motley Crue ,Bobby McFerrin ,LMFAO ,and Sockeye! Along with 8 new original songs ,including the hit ,"It's 2012 ,Punch A Mayan In The Face".

ONE FELL SWOOP - Jamming Without Burnables

October 19 ,1991 ,was a weedless day for the Swoop, hence the album title. We tried to alleviate the pain by running thru a cover medley of "Sweet Leaf/Paranoid" (Black Sabbath ,of course!) ,but then delved into the depths of depression with ,"Our Lives Are Over". There are some choice cuts here ,and Chipmonk goes off on a cover of Chuck Berry's ,"Johnny B. Goode" ,which rips Michael J. Fox's version, a new asshole! We even tackle the drug epidemic of the day with the song ,"Ecstacy Street"! Really good session,despite the dope-sickness.

A local Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg band,from 1996.Some originals,but mainly spoofs of:AC/DC's "Back In Black",done here as if O.J. Simpson was singing,"O.J.'s Back",Ted Nugent's,"Cat Scratch Fever",heard here as,"Scratch That Beaver",The Presidents Of America's,"Lump",which becomes,"Plump",in these guys hands,and my fave,Black Sabbath's,"War Pigs",spoofed as,"Bar-b-q-Pigs",all about that backyard grillin' cook-out!After the last track,there are a few hidden tracks,one a little skit,the other a cover of "The Hokey Pokey".Real dumb,almost tard-metal,probably a bored bar band,making up new lyrics to songs they've played for years!Despite the cover art,these fellas sound nothing at all like Insane Clown Posse.

NULL AND VOID-hell to pay

hard rock/metal with a ft.myers/tampa axis,reminds me of a combo of black sabbath,hawkwind,and voivod.don't ask me why i hear that,i just do,you may hear something totally different.recorded at apple studios in tampa,this is a whirlwind production with cool samples interspersed.seen them live once and they could'nt match the sound on this release.they were heavier and these songs were nearly unrecognizable.if you like rock and metal,this should be fun for you!

VANCE BURDGE-early solos

Vance is one of my best buds.We were in tons of projects together,but I'm not on this at all.But Nathan Adams,Eric'Trig'Triglet,and Nick Dunphee,do help out a little.About 50/50 on originals vs. covers.Some of the covers are from David Bowie,Love and Rockets,Christian Death,Black Sabbath,the Beatles,Bauhaus,the Go-Go's,and Vanilla Ice.You can kinda tell why we called him 'The Count',due to his affinity for goth.The Go-Go's ,Vanilla Ice,and Bauhaus numbers are parodies about local luminaries such as Shawn,Splashman,and Guy Gentry.There's also a hilarious imitation of Nick Dunphee on, 'Nick the What?'He leads off with the only country song I think he ever recorded,and goes into his goth styled tunes,some real trippin'stuff,and all those ace covers.Check his name on this blog ,He's probably in half the bands featured here!A fantastic all around friend,musician,singer,and the best engineer /soundman we had.A very accomplished artist. Terrorist rock of the highest order,these guys only performed in ski masks while brandishing weapons.Mad Asshole on bass and vocals,Big Black Cock on guitar,and Shaggy Dick on drums,this stuff was recorded in the twilight time,at Club Black Nerd.All improv ,1-2-3-go! style,and it works like a charm,last track is a bonus ,live at the Draft House at One Fell Swoop's last show,just 1-2-3-go and we started a band.Covers of Rik L Rik,Black Flag,GG Allin,Angry Samoans,Sonic Youth,Simpletones,Ramones.Think Drunks With Guns meets Flipper and they have a pot of tea and listen to the first 7 Black Sabbath albums,it's that good.More to come,sadly no live vids or audio,only got one gig,due to name,announced on FM radio by Naughty Nikki,as the band so nasty we can't say their name on the air.She showed up and we delayed the show cuz we wouldn't play till she left.She asked me,"when are you gonna play"? ,to which I replied,"with myself,tonite"!A kid in the audience stood in front of me as I sang and bassed and in between songs I asked him if he liked K-Rock.he said yes and I whipped out a seemingly real pistol and pointed it at his face,I swear the guy looked like he had a heart attack,all in good fun.I dressed in docs,ski mask,gold lame' briefs and that's all.Still have rehearsal tape of said gig,Cape Coral demos,and more,check this out and kill!
