For a number of years now I have attended the Festival of Masters Art show at Downtown Disney. It features over 150 award wining artists. I anticipate going each year, but especially look forward to seeing the sidewalk chalk artist. As I strolled around with camera in tow, I noticed a young artist, with albinism, sketching in brilliant color. I thought; what contrast! so snapped a few frames thinking how I could process the digital shots to show the extreme level of contrast I visualized in my mind while taking the pictures.
In the early 1960's my Father purchased something that changed my life forever. . .A Polaroid camera. It was rather strange in appearance, but it was the latest and greatist in technology at the time. You could snap the shutter, and in seconds out came a picture that slowly developed in front of your eyes in just a few minutes! It was a like having a portable darkroom. Magic! That camera was a springboard into the next decade when I bought my first 35 mm SLR. As they say, the rest is history.

Thank Heaven For Little Girls
That song was made famous in 1958 by French Actor and Singer; Maurice Chevalier. I try to take a few candid photographs every few weeks or so to add to my portfolio. It seems that the little girls always win out over everyone else because of their innocent expressions and beautiful smiles. The results always makes me think of the words of that song.

Fat Rat's Lounge
It's not every day you get to go back in time to the 1920's and walk right into a Speakeasy from that era. Nearly three weeks ago I stumbled into Fat Rat's Lounge; Sanford, Florida USA. This place is the real deal, a genuine, authentic, reproduction of a roaring 20's watering hole. Three sections, one for dining, one for Billiards and a large bar serving adult beverages. I returned a couple days ago with camera in tow and just had to photograph this compelling "Old is New" interior design. Hope you enjoy.

Beach Scenes
The salt air, the ocean breeze, warm sand, tumultuous churning water, the beautiful sky and your five senses all come into play in a day at the beach. Nothing quite like a day along the seaboard to soothe the soul. I always pack a camera to capture the sights and treasure the memories of a day at the beach. Join me please . .
