This is an oldie just excavated from the SpiderBaby Archives, and likely my first-ever Alien piece of art — a wash painting circa 1990, before the publication of Dave Dorman‘s and my award-winning novella Aliens: Tribes.
This is a wash painting rendered with ink washes, colored pencils, whiteout (various) and ink on Bristol board, measuring a generous 11″ x 14″, and it comes with the original tracing paper sketch I did to prep for this piece.
A unique Alien portrait, and my first-ever Alien artwork — I priced this at the Comic Art Fans Gallery for $650.00 plus shipping — but this week only, I’m offering this up for sale at the bargain price of $500.00 plus shipping.
Gorgeous piece, Steve. Wish I could afford it! 🙂
The novel you wrote for DH was classic stuff. It floored me when it came out and showcased what a multi-talented fellow you are. One of the best comic artists around, and you had to turn out to be a fantastic writer, too!
