Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

 This week Eric gets the main flashback which comes from December 2010 and it is called Forbidden Sunspots.

Yesterday when I got caught checking out the Bonsai tree, that was not the only reason I was caught out. Can you believe we are not allowed on the worktops? You only have to look to see that it is the most wonderful sunspot and mum thinks I shouldn't be up there. Madness!!!

Anyway, after I had enjoyed the sun for a while I decided to see what the little tree smelled like.

Then I checked to make sure it had enough water. Nope, looks too dry to me. Mum should be grateful that I let her know it needed watering instead of making me get down.

This is the Bean's Christmas Cactus. It used to belong to our dad's mum and is very old. They brought it with them when they moved when dad was a very small boy so must be at least 60 years old. It lives in the porch. Mum just put it on the worktop to take the photo. It lives outdoors in the summer and has often had big pieces broken off when we get strong winds, but it seems to survive everything.

Update 2025. Probably 75 years+ by now, but getting smaller as pieces die off.

So sadly missed. It is impossible to think you have been gone from our world for almost as long as you were with us.

Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

Ooops! I forgot to add the art but it is there now.

The main flashback this week is from December 2010 and features Flynn who once again goes crazy for nip. There is a video at the end for Eric.

Mum said I was being rude by blowing her raspberries right after she gave me some nip. It's not my fault, nip makes me do funny things.

See how blurry my head looks? That's what it looks like from the inside for me as well when I have a bit too much nip. Wait, what am I saying? There is no such thing as too much nip. I don't have a nip problem.

I was attacking my nippy carrot then somehow my leg got in the way and I attacked it by mistake.

Carrot will pay for that, he's going to get a good bunny kicking now.

Look out!! I just saw a flying pig on the curtain pole.

Umm, what happened, what's going on and why am I sat here?

Oh yeah, I remember. ATTACK THE CARROT!!

Help!
Mum took this video 3 months ago and never got around to posting it. Flynn is a very good tree climber and can run down as fast as he goes up. Mum tells me I am like a camel in a tree so I wanted to show her how well I can go up there too. Uh oh, I forgot I am not very good at coming back down. She has had to help me back down several times and thought she would have to get the ladder for me. Don't worry, I got down safely on my own right after the video ran out.

Friday Flashback and Caturday Art.

This flashback comes from December 2010 and was a Mancat Monday.

Eric: These pictures are from just before it got really cold and we were still going out for walks in the fields.

Flynn: It was not long after the Beans came back from their holidays, and we were glad to get out and stretch our legs again.

And to just sit and survey everything.

We checked for introoders.....

and mousies.

Flynn: It was good to feel the dirt under my tummy.

Eric: Checking smells and nomming grass, what more can a mancat ask for.

MANCAT MONDAY.

Flynn: Mum got us out during a break from the rain so I took the opportunity to get up in my favourite tree.

Eric decided he would stay in the grass and keep a lookout for mousies.

Hey Eric! I can snoopervise you from up here.

Then mum called us to go back home, so I put my lasers on so she could see me.



She opened our own private gate so we could get back into the garden the quick way. As you can see, Eric hurries for no-one!
