Dungeon furniture

Hello everyone, this is the third and last post about the stuff I got from my friend Luca.

It is a beautiful selection of dungeon furniture from Metal Magic. I remember looking at this collection on the catalogue in the 90s and thinking I didn't have enough money for dungeon furniture, what little I had had to go into "soldiers" to build armies.

Now I was lucky enough to receive all this as a gift, so I gave everything a quick touch up and I'm going to use if in my next D&D session.

Refurbished RPG miniatures

This is the second batch of models that I received from Luca and that I restored.

These are a few D&D models, old Ral Partha and Citadel pre-slotta pieces that I really enjoyed fixing up. The two Three-Kreen I would not have painted green, but that's how they came and I wanted to keep the models in the colours they were originally painted in.

An unexpected surprise

This is the first of three posts about some models I was gifted by my friend Luca.

One of his coworker is a long time D&D player and gave him, a while back, a little box of old miniatures because Luca is a very active (and very good) game master of all sorts of Rpgs.

Luca, when I came back from Canada, gave that box to me since I am the miniatures guy in our gaming group.

The figures had a quite good paint job, but is a slightly dated style, so I gave them a wash and a few highlights to modernize them a bit and stuck them on some bases to make handling them safer.

There were three batches of figures, this is the first one, a bunch of old Ral Partha, Grenadier and Metal Magic pieces for The Call of Cthulhu.

They are a great addition to mine and IlVJ collections, really lovely models, many thanks to Luca and his coworker for their generosity.

I'll try to put these to good use as soon as possible.

LOTR wargs

In this post we have a couple of wargs from Games Workshop Lord of the Rings game. I never really liked the game, but the models (the metal ones especially) have always been really good.
I never collected any, especially for gaming purposes, but I enjoy painting some here and there.
As mentioned in the previous post, a former coworker of IlVJ passed away and his wife gave him some models, these two are from that lot.
At the moment I'm still waiting for the pallet with all my painting tools and as these two figures were already built, I gave then an undercoat and a coat of paint, just to keep the brush moving.

These will be used in RPGs and random games, they might not see much use soon, but they were a lot of fun to paint and are one more step in the project of painting all of Tsuchiya San figures.

Few RPG models from IlVJ

This is the last post with figures painted by my brother. He is still working on stuff, but had less time recently to dedicate to painting.

More stuff will surely come in the future.

Few random RPG figures

This week we only have a very small post, as I mentioned in past posts, I'll be moving back to Italy in the summer, so I'm not painting as much these days, mainly because unpainted miniatures are easy to move than painted ones.

But a few here and there still end up under the brush, so here you have something for the weekly post.

Hopefully IlVJ will be more productive than me and we'll have more to post.

A couple of old school RPG miniatures

Today we have a couple of figures that IlVJ started probably two years ago and he finally got around to complete.

They are both pretty old miniatures, one from Ral Partha, the other from the Conan TSR range.

The TSR miniatures are famously ugly, but they have some kind of old school charm.
