ST ELMO

 Hi Gents,
I finally picked up my Malta terrain from TM terrain so did a quick set up at the weekend.

Ottoman gun batteries on the hill above St Elmo

A mix of figure manufacturers.

The defenders

The fort was supplied by small craft from Fort St Angelo across the bay.

Awe inspiring drums.

Ottoman ships

This figure is perfect with the ship.

A nightly excursion.
A lot more to come.
Best wishes

Coming to the end of the Christmas Holidays here so I thought I would get some figures out and star getting through the basing. I did around 100 tonight all based on pennies, movement trays should be here soon. Below is some pics of the relief column the pike arrived here yesterday and went straight through to basing.

St Elmo

Happy New Year,
A few pics of what's coming this year which will hopefully see the completion of the Malta 1565 collection. Dave at TM terrain has been commissioned to build St Elmo which can be added to my existing terrain to recreate the siege. I have added a few pics from the archive to show some off the figures which will be used with the terrain.
I have recently bought a new house which has a great hobby space so at some point this year the whole thing can be played out.

Mostly head swaps

Flaf pole still to be painted and figures based.

I must admit the Old Glory figures really came up a treat.

Last stand in St Annes Chapel

 Hi Gents,

Been a while since the last post still collecting and have some new arrivals that are due to be shown next week. In May my wife and I visited Malta which was great we stayed in Valetta which was like living history itself. First day we went down to St Elmo and visited St Anne's chapel this is where the last defending knights made their last stand along with two priests who stayed with the defenders.
These figures are a mix of manufacturers but mainly Eureka for these pics.
This is how I imagine the seen inside the chapel.

A grizzly fate awaited the Knights after the battle the bodies where decapitated and the bodies nailed to wooden crosses and floated towards St Angelo across the Bay to terrify the defenders.

Local myth has the ghosts of the knights can still be seen from time to time.

The figures are brought to life by the brush of Dave Jarvis.

Really pleased with this collection.

The Knights commander after seeing the mutilated bodies of his brethren float to wards St Angelo ordered that the ottoman prisoners in the dungeons be brought up and beheaded the heads were then fired back to the Turks this is total war.

A lot of Janissaries arriving next week as the push to complete the Ottomans begins.

We plan to visit Malta at some point in the future what a great place.
Best wishes
Willie
