Lisa said this about her layout:
"Fall is my favorite season to scrapbook. I used pictures of our trip to the Pumpkin patch last year and just couldn't resist having this adorable little fox peek out from behind the photo of my sweet nephew! I included the second word of my title on the white pumpkin using small sticker letters from my stash!"

My Mind's Eye "Gal Meets Glam" Page Kit Inspiration!

It's Monday! :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
We are starting this week off with our 3rd page kit from the
Oct. 2018 Flavors of the Month Kit!

Here's a look at the layouts created using the
My Mind's Eye "Gal Meets Glam" Page Kit:

"Ooh LaLa"
By: Heather Guy
Heather said this about her layout:
"As my journaling says, I’m not a “girly girl” so I struggled with how I was going to use this kit. I don’t get dressed up very often, makeup is minimal and I don’t own any high heels! I’m sure I would break an ankle. Hahaha. But “beauty” is in the eye of the beholder and I consider this car a real beauty! This was my rental car for the week while traveling for work and it was a sweet ride! So I used my story and journaling to tell the story! And I loved how it turned out!!!"

"Ooh LaLa"
By: Rochelle Spears

Rochelle said this about her layout:
"love that this collection is girly!  There is so much you can do with this page kit.  I chose to scrap a photo of me dressed and ready to spend the day at Creativation in my new super girly leggings! lol  I used the page kit only and used a filter on my photo for the phrase."

Doubleshot Layout Reveal #2

It's time to reveal the other half of the April Doubleshot Kit!
Here's some layouts from our designers using the
My Mind's Eye "Happy Camper" page kit:

"Lets Ride"
by Brenda:
"When I first saw this kit, I knew it would be used for a boy layout since I do not camp. The photos of my great-nephews trying out the peace officer's motorcycle matched perfectly with this collection.
All items are from the kit except for the title work which is from my personal stash!"

"Giddy Up"
by: Rochelle
"I'm not a Camper, but this collection was perfect for photos taken of my children while at a zoo with their Grandparents. Everything is from the kit except title and twine."

Doubleshot Kit Layout Reveal #1

Happy Monday!

How about some Doubleshot inspiration!

The Doubleshot kit is a smaller version of the Flavors of the Month.  It consists of 2 page kits, enough to create at least 4 single 12x12 layouts or at least 2 double page layouts.
The price for the Doubleshot kit is $15 (membership) or $17 (non-membership).

Here's some layouts from our designers using the
Simple Stories "Let's Party" page kit:

"HOORAY"
by Brenda:

"Another awesome page kit this month!!! This kit is great for children and adult birthday photos or could easily be used to scrap some everyday fun photos!
For the design of my page I used this month’s “Be Our Guest” sketch. I used my Cricut to cut the banner, tag and photo frame from the “Make A Wish” patterned paper. I wanted to layer with the green polka (the B side) of the “Yippee” paper, so I cut a rectangle out of the middle of the paper where I planned on adding the layers of the other papers. The stars were fussy cut from the “B side” of the “Make a Wish” patterned paper and the Happy Birthday banner was fussy cut from one of the journaling cards included in the kit. I also cut the tab on the right side of the journal card from one of the other journal cards included in the kit. The phrase sticker sheets are from a previous FOTM kit."

"Surprise"
by Dee:
"I enjoyed working with this line because I could use for any age. I used gold leaf on the #80 to give some bling on the layout. Everything is from the kit except title, twine and View Master Reel which was cut from a die cutting machine."

"Party Time"
by Rochelle
"This is a layout of my and my friend at the Simple Stories Birtthday Bash at CHA.  Doily, flowers, twine and title from personal stash. Everything else is from the kit."

It's Freaky Fast Friday!!

This month's formula is from Rochelle.....
(2) 1 1/2 x 12
(2) 3 3/4 x 1/2
(2) 2 1/2 x 1/2
(1) 8 1/4 x 12
(1) 4 1/4 x 1 1/2
(1) 5 x 6 3/4
(1) 6 3/4 x 5 1/2

And here are the steps to completing your layouts using the December formula...

1. Collect a few pics.
2. Cut your patterned paper to the dimensions stated above.
3. Push the paper around your cardstock till you achieve the look you want, or simply copy the layout below!
4. Adhere and EMBELLISH! It is that easy!!

Today, I'm sharing my work with the December 2015 Freaky Fast Formula using the Simple Stories Claus & Co. line from the Flavor of the Month Kit.  I cut my papers, pushed things around and flipped the sides a couple times before I came to my final result.  The two panels that are 6 3/4" are the top and bottom pieces partially buried under the largest piece.  I, also, cut a few designs from the patterned paper and matted them to serve as embellishments.  This was a fun recipe.  I hope that you give it a go!

Last weeks recap...

This layout was created by Rochelle using Shimelle's Christmas Magic, found in the  December 2015 Flavor of the Month Kit.  I just love that this formula has sooooo much patterned paper. You can layer it so many different ways. Gotta love that!! The embellishments that come with the kit are so cute too!!

Have a great weekend!!

Daily Inspiration: Layout of the Day!

Rochelle Spears created this pretty layout with Simple Stories We Are Family from the November 2015 Doubleshot Kit.  I love how Rochelle imitated the heart circles from the circle cluster that is an image in the design of the paper by creating a few of her own and adding them on the top left side of the paper.

So what is all the hubbub about?

We are bringing back a challenge that was run at The ScrapRoom a few years back.  Here's how it works.  Each month, we will introduce a basic formula to use to get a page done.   They will be simple instructions to choose a base paper to start your page along with instructions to cut pattern papers to complete a page. It's that easy!! Tammy's kits are perfect too,...just grab a bag and you're ready to go!
This month, we are even able to offer up a prize to one of our subscribers who participates:

Simple Stories Life Documented Day to Day Card Set

Let's look at this month's formula...

  5. 11"x 3" patterned paper
  6. 11"x 1" strip patterned paper
  7. 11.5"x 1/2" strip patterned paper
It's as easy as 1,2, 3,...(and 4)!!
1. Collect as many pictures as you like.
2. Cut your patterned paper to the dimensions stated above.
3. Push the paper around your cardstock till you achieve the look you want, or simply lift one of the layouts below!
