art and fashion and LA...in Style File

Surprisingly, style.com's blog, Style File, has reported some goodies on the Frieze Art Fair in london:

At this year’s Frieze, it’s been a close call between a wall of Araki portraits of a tied-up Asian girl (one of which had a daisy sprouting from her privates) and a “dying computer” that plays karaoke tunes in a Stephen Hawking voice and begs for cash. Since the Arakis made me feel really weird (”You’re all perverts!” Kate Bosworth jokingly shouted when she walked by the work at the VIP preview earlier this week), my vote is for Russian artist Alexei Shulgin’s 'Homeless Computer That Sings For Money'.

like ny but live in LA: The new boutique fĂȘted itself last night with an opening party at its West Hollywood space, and by all appearances, the place was created by New Yorkers for New Yorkers.
