I found a trade ad for the broadcast, and another newspaper ad. There's a lot of clippings in the Artwork file for you to peruse and ponder. I normally trim the entertainment listings down from full page, but this one had an interesting interview with Lou Reed, so I left it as-is.
This show has a "Sneak Preview" ad by Chaka Khan. I've included an article on the advertising concept; the idea was to partner with an artist to provide advance promotion on an upcoming single. A short bit of the record is combined with a Coke jingle in the style of the upcoming single. It's similar to what Budweiser was doing, but the artist got about sixty second of airtime for their actual upcoming record before shilling for the sugar water.
I was not able to figure out the source of the Atlanta Rhythm Section tracks, other than they were recorded in Japan. If you have any information, please leave a comment below.
