Sarah Capell-Coningsby, Countess of Essex 2
     Sarah Bazett was baptised on 11 July 1759 at St. HelenaG.2 She was the daughter of Henry Bazett and Elizabeth Harper.3 She married, firstly, Edward Stephenson on 24 April 1777 at St. Helena.1,3 She married, secondly, George Capell-Coningsby, 5th Earl of Essex, son of William Anne Capell, 4th Earl of Essex and Frances Hanbury-Williams, on 6 June 1786.1 She died on 16 January 1838 at age 78.1
     From 24 April 1777, her married name became Stephenson.1 From 6 June 1786, her married name became Capell-Coningsby.1 After her marriage, Sarah Bazett was styled as Countess of Essex on 5 March 1799.

     Catherine Kitty Stephens was born in 1794 at Leadwell, Essex, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Edward Stephens.4 She married George Capell-Coningsby, 5th Earl of Essex, son of William Anne Capell, 4th Earl of Essex and Frances Hanbury-Williams, on 14 April 1838.4 She died on 22 February 1882.4
     She was a vocalist and actress. She was said to have had the sweetest soprano voice of her time, both in opera and as a concert singer.2 From 14 April 1838, her married name became Capell-Coningsby.4 After her marriage, Catherine Kitty Stephens was styled as Countess of Essex on 14 April 1838.
