volvo v40
The Volvo V40 is from the small car segment and manufactured by Volvo Cars. It is available in 5-door hatchback after it was debuted in 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The car was designed by Chris Benjamin, American designer, and the last to be designed under Horbuury before he moved to Geely, Volvo’s parent. It was built on the platform used for Volvo C30, S40 and V50 after modification. The modifications included spring and damper settings, electric power steering etc. there were two petrol engine options in 1.6 litre EcoBoost I4 giving out 150 or 180hp and 2.5 litre Volvo B252 15 generating 254hp, a 1.6L Duratorq engine and two diesel engines. Another version is the Cross Country with bigger wheels, protective body panels and increased height. It features AWD with T5 petrol engine and is also featured with Hill Descent Control. The engine fitted in this model is more powerful than the engines used in the regular V40 models.
