"A Tribal Heart..."

...with a soulful South African heartbeat
peers out across the seas to a blog network friend
in the U.K. who is celebrating a
"Happy Birthday" today!
(Yes, Joss! It's YOU! ...AND...this heart is winging it's way to you as I write!)

“Call it a clan,
call it a network, call it a tribe,
call it a family:
Whatever you call it, whoever you are,
you need one.”

"The Western Wallop..."

There will be big...I mean BIG, BIG, BIG,
snowfalls
in the high country of Arizona
this week.
We, here in the valley, just weathered "Punch #2"
of a "3-punch" storm
coming in off the Pacific Ocean
which is
to drop as much rainfall here in the desert
in 5 days as we have had
in several months!
Things are pretty chilly, damp, and soaked.
We really DO need the rain...
but
Oh!...to be "snowed in" (with supplies of course)
in a cozy cabin in the mountains,
a roaring fire, and
oodles and oodles of time to draw!
Ahhh...Pass the hot cocoa please...Mmmmm!

the minute I posted them on Flickr last night!
That has never happened to me before...
Whew!
(Guess I know what I will be doing the next couple of days...)
Now, here's the deal...
I will post brand new ones for trade HERE first...

"A Bit of 'Biozen' Bounty..."

...on a beautiful "Blooming Tuesday"!
(This little card has been uprooted from the desert
and newly transplanted in Juneau, Alaska
with Katie.)
Have a bloomin' happy day all!

"A Dual Purpose Post..."

...A perky prickly pear for Cactus Monday players
and, also...
a funky little Illustration Friday drawing...
based on the theme
from a few weeks back: "Pattern."
Say!
Why not seek out and enjoy
some new patterns in your routine today?
Have a great one! :)

Do not become paralyzed and enchained
by the set patterns which have been woven of old.
No, build from your own youthful feeling,
your own groping thought
and
your own flowering perception.”

"Fly Away With Me..."

...this first day of Summer...out here in the "Old West".
The first day of Summer is earlier in western North America:
For the years 2009 and 2013,
people in the Mountain and Pacific time zones
and farther west greet the first day of summer a day earlier,
on June 20.
So when people ask what the first day of summer is,
it not only depends on the year
but on where you live.
See this Source for more info...:)

"Lost...A Reprise..."

...and an addiction!

Just about a year ago...March 3rd , 2008...to be exact
I posted one of my "pen-tangled" designs
on my brand new blog...Water Blossoms.
The specific design was inspired
by a whole boatload of big philosophical ideas.
(Click here if you'd like to see it.)
Today
I post a similar piece...
drawn as a release of artistic energy...
right after watching yet another "Lost" episode
last night.
Yep!...Here I am...2009
still
addicted to my "faves" on television
and
still lost in oodles of doodles!
Time...Reality...Space ???
Not to worry.
No harm done in getting lost...
Right???
:)
HAPPY 23RD B-DAY COREY !
WE LOVE YOU! XO
