So thankful for your thoughts and prayers...

I can't even begin to tell you how much comfort and support we have received from family and friends
in the past three weeks since our beautiful granddaughter Eden Rain was stillborn. All I can say is

you. are. amazing.

God has met financial needs for my son and his family during very difficult time and many of you have also
sent gifts for them, the girls and myself.

 I can't say

thank you

enough. My son said "wow there are so many people who love and care for us".

Y.E.S.

I received the necklace above from a dear blog friend who lives in New York.
We have never even met face to face, but only have communicated online.

I was so touched when I opened this keepsake that she had made just for me.

I LOVE IT !

and...I cried.
yes, I did...I've been doing a lot of that lately and I am sure I will do more
in the days, months, years ahead.

She also sent gifts for the girls and a financial gift as well.

I have received gifts of money from many of you for my family and we so appreciate it.

You have shown God's love in tangible ways and we say

THANK YOU!

I have written several poems and cried through every single one of them.

It is helping me heal although we will never get over this loss.

We will look for ways to incorporate sweet Edens memory into our everyday lives.

I created a facebook page called

Prayers for the Boothman Family

if you will click on the link above it will take you there.

It includes the poems that I have written to date and I am sure it will
include many more in the years to come.

We so covet your continued thoughts and prayers for our precious family.

May God bless each and every one of you!

A thankful heart

I am very thankful today that even though...

our poor evergreen trees...

still look like this...

that we were able to get away for a day.

Can you guess where we went?

It is only about an hour and a half away from us.

and the horse and buggies are plentiful here.

Shipshewana, Indiana!

{home of the world renouned flea market
although they don't have it in the winter}

On our drive the sun was shining bright...

and the ice on the trees just glistened.

Yoders department store is a must see if you have
never been. They have everything you can imagine.

Love this urn...could have packed it up
and brought it along home with me...
but then that would have been stealing
and that is not nice. :)

I am thankful for the beautiful snow on the trees
that made a gorgeous picture...in spite of the fact
that I am so tired of snow.

Can you see the *buggy rides* sign way over to the
right? I didn't even notice it until I was looking at
my photos.

I am also very thankful also that this photo and the next
one turned out so pretty in spite of the fact that I took
them outside of the car window while traveling
55 mph. (and absolutely no editing)

Aren't they gorgeous?

This is one of the shops that has neat architectural ideas.

Love this walkway and the arbor above it.

We usually eat here at the Blue Gate Restaurant, but
since it was a quick trip we ended up eating fast food
on the way down. I know, I know...

This was why I really wanted to go and I was very
thankful that they were open today.

Look at the snow on the roof. I am very thankful that
it didn't come down on my head! lol.

We had a wonderful day away today and I will show
my purchases and other photos next time.
Hubby's shop has been shut down this week due to
power outages from the ice storm and he may end
up having the whole week off. Michigan has called
in many electric trucks from Ohio and Indiana
to try and get all the power restored, but it is going
to take a long time.

We usually lose power in these instances, but I am
very thankful that we didn't this time. My brother
who lives about 10 miles northwest of us has not
had power since before 3 am Monday morning
and may not have it until the end of the week. Factories are closed, schools are closed, businesses
are closed , but we are thankful to be doing fine.

I will be linking up to White Wednesday over at
Faded Charm. Have a wonderful day! Blessings~

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving as I will not be at my computer until Sunday afternoon or evening. I am thankful for so many things...my wonderful husband of over 31 years , my three amazing children, their spouses and my precious grandchildren...my heavenly Father and the many times He has answered our prayers...my loving parents who raised me in the best home ever. I really do owe them a lot. I used to tell my father when I was little that when I grew up I was going to marry him...oh the things we say as youngsters. LOL I am also thankful for friends that stay with you through thick and thin . I could go on and on, but I will leave you with this thought:

"God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say thank you?" -William A. Ward"
