I wanted to pop into blog-land and wish you all a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I know it isn't until Saturday, but who knows what I will be doing then so I thought I would tell you now. Also, friends...please spread the love! There are so many people who are hurting from loss of a spouse, family problems, job loss etc and a little kindness goes a long way. Often it is the little things we do that help cheer up a broken heart. A heart that has been battered about in life's storms and seemingly sometimes there is no end. God loves each and every one of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers! *********************************************** The winner of my Valentine Giveaway is Diane from AUGCOTT blog. I have been in contact with her and the winning goodies are ready to head out tomorrow. She has recently lost her beloved, so if you could drop by and give her a word of encouragement I know she would really appreciate it. Thank you and God bless! {Photo: from my vintage postcard stash dated 1909 on the back} |

| Below is the description of this dress taken directly from the Shabby Apple site. "Some things are just better together: peanut butter and chocolate, Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, Rome and Vespas. We decided to pair two things we love— the soft, cotton jersey of our favorite t-shirt, and the gorgeous sateen of the dresses of yesteryear—to create the Spanish Steps, an indispensably comfortable-yet-elegant summer frock. A luxe jersey cap sleeve top is gathered at the waist with a wide satin sash, and a veritable bouquet of appliquéd, ruched flowers and leaves adorns the full sateen skirt that swirls just below your knee. A truly inspired combination,the Spanish Steps has star potential. This dress is made from a leightweight, delicate fabric and FITS GENEROUSLY on our fit guide". Shabby Apple sells all styles and colors of dresses including white dresses, little girls dresses, and even maternity dresses along with other clothing, jewelry etc. They also have several lines of vintage style dresses including their Berkshire collection , oh la la , and tinsel town along with many others. Good things come to those who wait! {no crying allowed!}
Market tote...this is a neat piece. It is sewn together
at the top in the middle and then the ends are open on
the top...a little zippered pouch is attached inside for
your moolah.
I think I better start handing out more tissues to you
because these were an awesome price too!
$2 - $6 each Most I bought were $2 and $3 each. I know you are all crying hysterically by now.
Little pots $1 each...wire cage thingy
$4 for base and $3 for top. They had all sizes
of tops and you could pick what you wanted.
Neat flower caddy that I snatched for $5.00.
Have you used up a whole box of kleenex yet?
I feel so bad for you...really I do!! Oh dear.
Wish I could have bought something for everyone.
My darling daughter was with me as was my granddaughter
and she surprised me with a set of these coasters. How
thoughtful of her. She told me she got them for me as part
of my Christmas gift, but she couldn't wait. She never
has been able to wait. lol
This little caddy was $3.00. I had to get something that
said Peacock Park on it.
Sure wish I could have taken all of you with me.
Hope you enjoyed part of my goodies and
hopefully I can get the rest posted soon.
Linking up with Kathleen again for WW this week.I know I am posting early, but I decided to post it while
my computer is cooperating with me. :)
The spacing issues on blogger is driving me nuts...how about you?
