Just a little love...

I have been doing a little creating and three one of a kind tags are the latest items that
I have come up with.

~ Blessings ~

~ Key to my heart ~

~ Love...Amour ~

I had fun making these tags, but the whole kitchen was in utter chaos while
I was working on them. Glitter, fabric, embellishments ...everywhere! lol

Just sharing a little love with you before the big day arrives. :)

Have a wonderful Thursday ~

Simple blessings

I fell in love with this cloche on clearance at Home Goods a couple months ago. I passed it up the first time and just kept going back to it. I finally put it in my cart, paid and walked out the door.  I have not regretted it. It can be used so many different ways and in so many different settings, but for now...white mini boo pumpkins.

I have had the mercury glass bowl for a few years. I picked it up after Christmas clearance at Target one year...75% off...it was a deal steal!!

I think my blingy earrings add the crowning touch to these pumpkins.

Cherish simple blessings...that is what I want to do this fall and actually all year through. I want to focus on the simple things and not get caught up in all the drama and hooplah that sometimes comes along with the holidays.  Easier said than done I am sure, but I am going to try.

I don't think a person can ever have too many mini pumpkins. :)
Some of my mini boo's have a few blemishes, but that is okay.  I am not perfect either, but I am so thankful that God loves me anyways. I know that He loves me for who I am and who I am striving to be and not by what has happened in the past or what may happen in the future. He loves me unconditionally and that is the most perfect form of love.  Thanking Him for that love today and everyday!!

I actually got creative today and made a stocking from old feedsack fabric with a ruffle and matching roses so I will be showing that soon. Although it looks like it was made for King Kong as the pattern was 24 inches long!! I want to make my own pattern and make a few smaller ones soon too.

Linking up with Faded Charm today for White Wednesday. So sorry that I can't comment to everyone who leaves me a comment. My internet is just too pathetically slow these days. I do try to get to many that don't work out. I will keep trying though.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

...it's the hap-happiest season of all...
vintage pair s and p's...
$1.00
Made in Japan
score!

I am sure you have seen these adorable little birdies
before as they are appearing all over blogland.

I just think they are so cute!

I scored seven of them on my outing last week
to the city.

This was also a wonderful find at Home Goods. I have
never seen anything like this at that store before.
It is huge at 24 inches square with a feather/down
insert and is comes with a zippered cover too.
Very squishy and nice.

Just a little update...grandbaby number 7 will soon arrive. She is due in 10 days so we are anxiously awaiting Ainsley's arrival. I know she will be tiny, beautiful and precious just like her big sister Annika.

We had Thanksgiving at my parents home on Saturday evening. We feasted on turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, squash casserole, broccoli casserole, stuffing, salad, deviled eggs, rolls, cherry pie, coconut pie and apple pie. The food was delicious as it is every year and we had a wonderful time with family.

In case you need a quick delicious salad recipe:

Lettuce { I used a head of lettuce and a package of spring mix} 2 oranges { cut up in chunks} Craisins, {dried cranberries}, Toasted pecans Poppy seed dressing{ I used Marzetti brand} Everyone loves this salad so I took it again this year. I figure why mess with a good thing. :)

I want to wish each of you a most blessed Thanksgiving!!

Feeling Very Blessed ~

Have you ever seen such an adorable little face???? My precious granddaughter was showing a little independence this week when she was here. She put on her little boots...on the wrong feet of course, but too cute...got one arm in her jacket and put on her little hat. Then she proceeded to try and open the door. I said "Annika, daddy isn't here yet...he is at work...to which she gave me quite the look and replied, "Mommy wuk...daddy wuk...." I just love to hear her talk! I enjoy her so so much and am blessed that they live only a few miles away ( unlike my other two children who live two and three hours away) so I get to see her often.

I also think of those who have lost loved ones at this time of year and feel so blessed that I still have all my family . My husbands cousin lost her 27 year old son in a tragic accident this past week . He left behind a wife and three young children so please say a prayer for them as you celebrate with your loved ones this holiday season. Blessings!

Birthdays and Blessings

I love this blessings sign that I have hanging in a guest room . Love the scrolls and the brown and blue tones. Be sure to count your blessings today! I thought I would share a gift that I wrapped for a friend. I used vintage wallpaper, vintage ribbon and a vintage millinery flower as well. I printed the Happy Birthday banner on the computer and attached it. I was very pleased with the way it turned out. So to everyone that has a birthday today...Happy Birthday and many blessings in the coming year!
