Let Freedom Ring!

I tweaked my display for the 4th of July holiday
weekend. I love how I can change this up to
fit the seasons.
I made a black and white copy of the vintage flag
postcard that I have had for some time and then
tore the edges to give it some texture.

This vintage page came from a 1945 songbook.

The candles have a song page wrapped around them titled, count your blessings. We are most certainly blessed to live in a free country!

Flag Song

Out on the breeze o'er land and seas, A beautiful banner is streaming; Shining its stars, splendid its bars Under the sunlight are beaming. Hail to the flag, the beautiful flag, The flag that is red, white and blue!

Over the brave long may it wave, Peace to the world ever bringing; While to the stars, linked with the bars, Hearts will forever be singing. Hail to the flag, the beautiful flag, The flag that is red, white and blue!

I am linking up today with Debra @ Common Ground for her vintage patriotic party.

Come and join in the fun!

Praying that you have a beautiful 4th of July weekend as we celebrate our free country and those who fought and died for her.

Blessings~

Please say a prayer for my little two year old
granddaughter Keira. She took a spill out
of a stroller and now has five stitches across
the bridge of her pretty little nose. :(

Celebrate Our Freedom ~

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence...
with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees,
the potato salad gets iffy,
and the flies die from happiness ~ ~Erma Bombeck

I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the republic for which it stands,
One nation under God,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.

Celebrating our freedom this weekend...
Blessings ~
