FREE Canvas print GIVEAWAY!

When Sarah from Canvas Factory contacted me about having a giveaway on my blog, I
was quick to say yes. I love canvas prints and I am betting that you do also.  I also received a free
print of my choosing and I chose a photo of our beautiful little rainbow baby grandson Liam to be
printed on a wrap around canvas.

Isn't he just the sweetest? I swiped this photo from his mommy's facebook page and had it made
into this canvas piece and I love it. I moved it here and there in the house before I finally chose
to hang it in the living room for now. {first photo}

I am so sorry the quality isn't better in my pics, but rest assured that the quality
of the canvas is spot on. These photos were shot with my I phone and
obviously I needed to use  my camera, but I have put this off for far too long, so
it is what it is.

I still absolutely love the photo and the Canvas Factory did a great
job! It was also shipped out pretty fast and I highly recommend them for any
of your photography needs for that special piece.

Now, for the fun part. I get to GIVE ONE AWAY!! Woo hoo!!

To be entered in the drawing , please leave me a comment telling me what picture
you would choose to have printed. A family member? A beloved pet? A nature scene?
(or just comment on anything lol)
I believe the sky is the limit, but whatever the winner chooses I am sure it will be
awesome.

This giveaway will run for a week and I will choose a winner on January 15.
(Please note that this giveaway is for US residents only)

Please share this on facebook or other social media to help get the word out.

In other news...My oldest son informed me that I have really been slacking on my blog posts
and he is so right!Good grief! I still have a SPRING header up from last year!
I am so embarrassed. It has been almost a YEAR since I last posted. I hope to remedy
that this year and post more frequent and with better photos...hopefully.

Thank you and blessings,

Happy Valentines Day and a WINNER!

I wanted to pop into blog-land and wish you all a

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I know it isn't until Saturday, but who knows what I will be doing then so I thought
I would tell you now.

Also, friends...please spread the love!

There are so many people who are hurting from loss of  a spouse, family problems, job loss etc
and a little kindness goes a long way. Often it is the little things we do that help cheer up a
broken heart. A heart that has been battered about in life's storms and seemingly sometimes
there is no end. God loves each and every one of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers!

***********************************************

The winner of my Valentine Giveaway is Diane from AUGCOTT blog. I have been in
contact with her and the winning goodies are ready to head out tomorrow. She has recently
lost her beloved, so if you could drop by and give her a word of encouragement I know she
would really appreciate it. Thank you and God bless!

Inspiration Kit GIVEAWAY!!

I have been wanting to do a

GIVEAWAY

for awhile now and I finally got a kit made

for one lucky winner. My birthday was yesterday

so I thought what better time to share my blessings with

you. I can't believe I am 55 years old! Where have the years

gone? I am sure I don't know! HA!

Enough about that...now on to the giveaway...

I painted a chipboard box in white and light gray colors

and  I filled it with pretty tresors.

When you open the box the first thing you will find
is one of my very favorite tags.

Then you will open a vintage white hanky that is trimmed in

luscious lace and embroidery to reveal all the tresors inside.

Lovely items such as:

a rose pin

a parchment rose

and trim that I hand-stamped with script writing.

a Cinderella card

an enamel number and a glittery metal tag

A sparkly butterfly

A number tag that I made along with some vintage
buttons and a script heart.

a few tags...

some vintage lace and trim

on hand-stamped script tags

and finally
more old lace on a handmade card.

If you are interested in this kit and you have a

United States address,

please leave a comment

on this post

and you will be entered in the drawing.

For an extra chance to win share this post on your blog,

or on facebook.

Please leave a separate comment for each  entry

or your extra entry will not count.

I will draw a winner next Tuesday.

Good luck to all who enter.

UPDATE: I have made a new blog header as you may have noticed and the writing on it appears
blurry to me. I have no clue why. This has never happened to me before. It looks fine when I
made it, but now doesn't...please bear with me as I work on it. Taking a long break right now
though. lol

Shutter finally up and a WINNER!

I have still been working in the kitchen ,but seem to be pulled in fifty different directions lately so it is taking longer than I would like. The lighting here today is not good at all  either so it is what it is.

Hubby attached these brackets to the wall for me to hang my shutter on.  Remember in a previous post how the shutter was just nailed flat against the window as a valance? I have had it that way for several years and although I still love the shutter up there, it was time for a slight change and I love it!!

I got 20 of these *chippy, shabby, grungy* brackets at the Peacock park warehouse sale last year for free! From what I understand they were originally table legs, but I love them as brackets! We also used them on a shelf in the kitchen, but I will keep that for another post.

Next project will be working on some type of curtains for underneath the shutter. I have an idea brewing in my head so we will see how that turns out. I have to have something here because the sun just beats in as it is on the west side of the house. {please ignore the clutter ...this place has been clutter city for a few weeks since I took on this project, but it will all be okay in the end right?? lol}

My collection of pretty vintage silver spoons ~

okay...now to the winner of the vintage strawberry boxes...drum roll please....

I used a random number generator and these cutie pie boxes are going to be winging their way to

SARA of SWEET MAGNOLIAS FARM

Congratulations Sara!! I think I have your address, but please get it to me just in case and I will get these in the mail next week. I also wanted to share them with more than one person so I choose a couple more names to send ONE box each to. They will go to Trisha and  Dawn so please send me your address ladies :)

Happy weekend everyone!!

Strawberry Season GIVEAWAY!

With strawberry season upon us here in Michigan I wanted to do a giveaway and I knew exactly what I would offer! I haven't done a giveaway for quite awhile now so it is time. :)

I have had several of these vintage strawberry boxes laying around and I want to share them with you. Truth be told, when I decided I wanted to do this giveaway, I had to go on a search and find them first! ha! Story of my life. You would think by now that I would have a organization "system" in place, but nope, not me. Don't get me wrong, I am a pretty organized person, but I still can't  remember where I put things half the time.  :)

Aren't these the coolest old boxes ever?? I love them!! They are so cute at their small pint size.

The winner will get five of these adorable boxes shipped right to their doorstep. How fun is that??!!

Entries limited to USA and CANADA only please.

To enter:
1. Leave a comment on this post
2. Share this giveaway on facebook
3. Share this giveaway on your blog sidebar or with a post

PLEASE leave a separate comment for each entry that you do. Thank you!!

So you have chances for three entries. This will be a quicky giveaway as it will end Thursday
{June 29} and I will pick a winner on Friday. So get your fingers clicking and ENTER NOW!

As a side note, I am still loving my new computer and high speed, but yesterday hubby transferred over all the photos etc. on the external hard drive from the other computer and goodness!! I was looking in my folders last night and it transferred everything at least TWO times and some folders FIVE times. I think it will take me weeks/months to get these duplicates/triplicates etc. cleaned up. Wow...:) Happy Monday!!

A winner!

Don't you just love these frenchy towels?  I picked these up at Pottery Barn on clearance
for $2.97 each. I took them off of a display to check the price and the price was right!! :)
I rarely go to Pottery Barn because there is none around here, but when I do go I love
to find a bargain.

I know it is time to put away Christmas! lol. I would say that 99% of mine is put away,
but I still have a couple small ones left including this one.

I drew a winner right away this morning for the sign above.

Congratulations to
Laurie of Heavens Walk!!

L.O.V.E. Giveaway

"...and now abideth faith, hope and LOVE, but the greatest of these is LOVE".

I Corinthians 13:13

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.
 It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
 Love
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.

I Corinthians 13: 4-8

Window boxes, giveaway almost over and mom back in hospital!

I wanted to share my beautiful flowers in my window box with you and have barely had the time to
sit down lately let alone do a blog post.

It has been another hectic week as my mom was admitted back into the hospital on Wednesday. She
was admitted for blood clots all the way down her leg from her thigh. They have her on blood thinners
and hopefully she will be able to come home Sunday. I feel so bad for my parents. Mom was just
getting to where she was feeling better and now this. To top it off , the day they admitted her, my dad
came home and was watering moms flowers and his water quit! He had to call someone in and have
a new well pump installed!! I tell you what...when it rains, it pours! I pray they have some relief from all
of this craziness soon.

Some of my best looking flowers this year despite the awful heat we have had because most of the time
this box is in the shade! :) I see it also needs some TLC as it is coming apart at the front corners.

Pretty ivy geraniums and allysum

I love my brackets that are holding up the box

Hubby and I will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary on Sunday so yesterday we went
to a beautiful Italian restaurant called LaScola Italian Grill and it was amazing! Delicious food
and a waiter named Justin who was the perfect gentleman. Freshly baked bread with oil for
dipping, house salad that was wonderful and I had Butternut Squash Ravioli on the
recommendation of my bff.  It was so yummy! I couldn't eat the last one on the plate
because I was stuffed to the gills. I probably ate 3 or more pieces of the bread before
we even got our meals. lol  Low lighting , leather chairs and all.  Just a wonderful place that
 we will visit again!

My crown giveaway is almost over so be sure and enter TODAY if you are interested.
