A FOUR letter word that I am sick and tired of and some creativity

Did that title grab your attention? Probably not, because I know my peeps in blog land are SMART,
but I am sick and tired of SNOW!  I know that many of you are as well. We have had more than our
 fair share this year and it isn't even the end of January. We won't even talk about how bitter
 cold it is also. ugh!

So...what does a girl do when she is stuck inside? She makes warm and cozy pillows. I picked up a few
sweaters at the Goodwill several days ago specifically to make sweaters so I got my sewing vibe on
this week. lol.

I really do like how this one turned out. I did find out while making these that sweater fabric is kinda
 *stretchhhhhhhy*
so you have to watch what you are doing. I think a regular fabric backing would help next time.

I had the sweater sleeves left over after making the pillow so I also made a wine cozy.
{I could have made two , but only made one for now}

{or sparking juice cozies whatever you desire}

This is my second pillow. I left the end open that was originally the bottom of the sweater and then I made three
rosette pins and pinned it closed.

The snow does look pretty, but I am sooooo over it. Way too much this year and way too cold also! ugh!

This is our main road {3/4 miles from where we live} that is usually heavily traveled.

SNOW...SNOW...SNOW!

Tea anyone??

My frozen rain chain

Home sweet home...this was taken before we got even more snow along with huge drifts.

I put on face book today that I have an offer for today only and I will extend that to my blogger friends
as well. I am giving away all the snow that will fit in your vehicle. First come first serve,  so get here fast!
Whatever is not gone tonight is headed to the Goodwill store! HAHA!

Stay warm~

Annual Peacock Park Sale...I wish I could have taken you with me!

You know when you are looking forward to something so much that you can't eat,
can't sleep, can't clean or do dishes, can't drive, can't do anything right??

Okay...okay, I am getting a little really carried away here, but I have been hoping that
Gina from Peacock Park would have a sale this year and when June came and went
without one being announced I figured it was a no go...THEN...one day not too long
ago she announced it on facebook and her blog. Happy camper here! hee hee

I was there twice on Friday and once today...plenty of times to snap up some goodies
at awesome prices although I needed a truck because I LOVED the above piece and it
would not fit in my car. lol!

{Thursday was for wholesale customers only which I am not}

There were beautiful baskets and metal ware...

...chests with numbers on them. Who doesn't love numbers these days??

lots of assorted ribbon...

these trick or treat rolled bamboo mats ...

( I brought a few of these home with me}

burlap pillow covers...

A gorgeous chair and even more baskets...

everywhere you looked was another treasure just waiting to be found...I almost brought one of these
"flower container trees" home with me, but didn't know if it would fit in the car either.

Did you notice the basket on the left is made into a lamp??

More numbered items...

Another gorgeous angel! They had one of these last year also. I love it!

I fell in love with these rusty ,screen hats , but none made it home with me. I just
couldn't purchase all that I thought was neat or I would need another home
to put it all in and I also had to save some money to pay bills ya know!! lol.

I goofed here! I intended to get a couple of these today and didn't. Today was half off day so they
were 2.50 each. All the little fleur -de -lis were broken, but I could have replaced it with something
else. Oh well...another item I really didn't NEED. :)

loved all the gorgeous gray baskets no matter the size...

numbers, numbers, numbers...

I thought this clock was gorgeous!

This is the tent you saw when you drove in. The sale was inside the tent, along the side of the warehouse
and there were also some items inside the warehouse. It was a perfect day yesterday. Beautiful,
sunny weather. Today it rained all day long.

This is the sign you see as you are driving along the interstate. I have loved the sight of this place
before I even knew what it was. Years ago, my daughter happened upon it as it is only 15 minutes from
where she lives and she told me I would love it. That is when the warehouse was actually a retail location
and as soon as you stepped inside, you were transported to a most beautiful place in time. It was
breathtakingly gorgeous each and every time we visited.

It has since closed to the public and it is now her warehouse, but Gina started her annual sale last year
and have been fortunate enough to attend both years. If you live in Michigan it is well worth the trip!!
 Hope you enjoyed seeing the photos.  I will share what I purchased with you later. Happy Saturday!

{ I never told you WHY I was there twice on Friday did I? Well, it so happens that as we got
 closer to our destination, I asked hubby to remind me to put my camera around my neck so
 I could take photos for my blog. Well , he forgot and so did I! I didn't even remember until we
 were a few miles up the road to an antique store. So , after we ate lunch we drove back so I
could get some photos just for you! ha! We also had some time we needed to kill so it worked
out just fine. Also, on my second trip I scored some freebies and can't wait to transform them.}

I finally took it out of the package!

I know! I can't believe it myself. :) I finally took this
white ruffled bedspread
out of the package. I only purchased it several
weeks ago at my favorite store...Home Goods.
That is kinda how I roll sometimes.
Some items I put right out and other times I
have to think about where I want them. Still not totally sure if it will stay here.

My crusty petite bistro table from Peacock Park.

JDL Magazines along with a beautiful rose
box and necklace that my sweet
granddaughter Allysha gave to me.

She is like her mother. She can't wait until
holiday to give gifts so when her mother
gave me an early gift, down from upstairs
she came and handed this to me.
"I can't wait either grandma! "
I will cherish it Allysha...thank you!

After I put the bedspread on the chair I plopped the
pillows back on it. I am now thinking maybe the large
pillow needs to be replaced with ones I have upstairs
that are lighter weight fabric.
This one looks a tad wintry!

Do I keep it here or throw it on a table?

decisions...decisions...rarely does anyone sit in this chair, but I am thinking if they do the top of the cover will fall right down on their head! lol. I am also thinking it may be too *foofy* for here. lol.

Another White Wednesday is here so be sure and
visit Kathleen over at Faded Charm to view more
amazingly beautiful WW posts.

Also, be sure and enter my giveaway if you haven't already!
Blessings~

My 100 mph birthday celebration!

Yesterday was another milestone for me.
I turned 52 years old.
I can't believe it...where have the years gone? I have been looking for them for a long time and
just can't seem to find them. lol.

My bff showered me with beautiful gifts again and
we had the best time together for lunch and laughter.
We even rode in her car at 100 mph!

{ I am telling everyone that , but something was wrong
with her speedometer. May have been set to kph instead
of mph. It really felt like we were going 50 instead , but
doesn't 100 sound much more exciting? ha!}

My bff told me awhile ago that she had been creating my
gifts and wow did she ever!! She made me two gorgeous
pillows and this is the first one.

{Made from two H&M shirts}

I was blown away when I opened the package. She
used up every little bit of fabric and utilized all the
buttons etc. The part at the bottom is a pocket so
I can add some goodies to it.

Love all the details! Buttons, plackets, cuffs etc.
She used it all!

This is the back of the pillow so depending on my mood {foofy or not} I can switch it up and one side is just as gorgeous as the other!

Here is the second pillow made from a sweater that had ruffles on it. I believe it is wool and oh so soft.

She used part of the ruffle to make the flower. I love it!

She is so so talented. She said she just started cutting
and these are what she came up with. She constantly amazes me with her beautiful creations!
Thank you so much my forever friend!!

I did tell her these pillows will be put UP when kids come
to stay. These pillows are not for laying heads on or
drooling on! {ha ha}

This is a very quick post as I DO have kids coming in
tonight and I need to get busy cleaning, but wanted
to show you some of my birthday goodies.

I did have a wonderful day...spend lunch and a few
hours with my bff and then when hubby got home
we went out to eat again and I shopped at Kohls too.
Got a black sweater {with ruffles of course}, some
of my favorite perfume , a rose pin and a scarf. All of it was on sale or clearance and then I had a
coupon to get an additional 30% off. Love a good sale... Blessings~
