Dusted off my camera just in time!

I finally talked my bf Peggy into letting me take photos of her place!
I decided I better act before she changes her mind, so this week I took advantage of
the wonderful weather and take photos I did.

I took 192 photos or so! It has been quite awhile since I have even wanted to do a
photo shoot, but I had fun doing this one.

Her place is so immaculate {unlike mine}
Not a weed in sight {mine has weeds everywhere}
She even plants her flowers where they actually should go {I'm such a random planter!}
LOL...Get my drift??

She is a Master Gardener and it shows, but it looked like this even before
she became a MG! I just love it!

So, grab a cup of coffee or a glass of lemonade, sit back and enjoy the photos.

I had too many for one post so I will be doing another post soon.

Isn't this the cutest? I have had this idea in my "gardening file" for years, but she
actually made it a reality instead of just looking at a photo of it.
Somehow I am sure that is much more satisfying!

Isn't it AMAZING??!! I love these lights under the roof of her potting shed.
They are perfect here.

That's all for today, but you can see as I said...not a weed in sight!
Isn't her place gorgeous!!??

I sure wish I had her gumption OR a Master Gardener to come here and work for me...

HEY, PEGGY...!!!???

Potting Shed Stuffed Full!

I decided to share a glimpse inside my FULL Potting Shed today.

I just love old chippy posts, pillars and anything along that line.  My youngest son made me the
 pallet table and it is filled with tons of goodies, but there is room for more!! It is on rollers so I can
move it around as the need arises. It is so big though that I doubt I move it much! I need to paint
 the spacers between the two pallets a gray color, but I just haven't gotten around to that yet.
One of these days.

Can you handle all this chippy white goodness?? All the skinny white boards are
tongue and groove and they are pieces of two more pillars that I need to reassemble.
{ uh...that WE need to assemble...hubby and I }

This is one of the pillars I recently acquired for FREE! This one was mostly intact, but
there are two others that need put back together. They are all tongue and groove so
it shouldn't be too hard.  Famous last words right? ha!

Everything that doesn't have a  place in the house somehow finds it's way out here.
Thus there is a little bit of everything in this shed.

Bottoms or tops of the pillars...I am in love!!
Takes so little to make this girl one happy camper!
Happy weekend everyone! May it be blessed!!

Playing in the potting shed

I have been busy lately playing in my potting shed so I thought I would give you
a few more peeks at what I am doing.

Do you remember this old white shelf that I purchased a few weeks ago? It ended up out here and I
think it is just right for my goodies.

I did add a bit of fake greenery before I got the bright idea {DUH!} to add real plants. :)

My flowers are still doing just wonderful despite the awful heat we had this summer.

I love this chippy green chair. I purchased FOUR of these chairs at an estate sale
years ago for 50 cents each! Everything was cheap at that sale and I was carrying
my baby granddaughter who was living with us at the time so that was about 11 or 12
 years ago. This is the ONLY green one I have left. I have two more that I let set outside
and they lost all of their paint and I sold one in my booth {dumb thing to do I know!}
I am hanging onto this one!

I love real bird nests and this one is a beauty.

Still trying to figure out if this is too much shelving , but it is what it is right now
so it is staying for awhile anyways.

Did you notice what I had hubby do?? This shed does not have interior walls except
on the back wall. It is something we have always intended to do , but just have not
gotten around to it. I was tired of waiting so a week or two ago I grabbed some paint
that we had sitting around and painted the top two thirds of the walls white.
I painted OSB board, I painted old beams...I painted, painted, painted!

Then I had hubby put the fence around the bottom part of the walls! I love how it
turned out, but once again the whole shed is not done, so you are seeing this one
wall! ha! We replaced a few sections of fence this year that were rotting and I
wanted it all to match so we took the above fence down also even though we had
just put it up a year or two ago. I do LOVE to recycle!!
More fake greenery in this cast iron wall vase.

I realized I should have added some gardening gloves and clippers or scissors , but I had already
spent too long taking photos so I opted not to redo it. I don't know how photographers do it!!
It must take them DAYS to do some photo shoots.

I have lots of goodies so I have pottery and all kinds of treasures sitting around in here.

Still lovin' my burlap potting bench skirt. See the slats in the top of my bench?
When hubby made the bench he added a pull out plastic tub underneath the slats so
that after I pot my plants, I can just grab a whisk broom and brush all the soil
 down the holes and right into the tub. Then take it out and dump it and wa-la all
nice and clean! :)

My favorite chair again with my pretty pink impatiens.

Loving my little *GROW* knife that I made last year.

A little nest that I spray painted white. That ends the tour for now. I know it isn't the most perfect
shed in the world , but it is mine and I love it. I decided whatever I did to fix it up this year I was
NOT going to spend any money doing it and I am happy how it turned out. Now on to the other
walls...oh goodness. Woman's work is never done...:)

It started with a burlap skirt...

...but we will get to that later. :)

While I was working in my potting shed today I also decided to play
a little with my small cast iron bird thingy, a withering geranium and my
trusty camera.

I have had this cast iron piece for years and sometimes it just blends in with
everything else and gets "lost"...not today. I brought it out of hiding and
snapped a few photos.

I love how the beauty of the rust blends nicely with the pink flowers for a pretty picture...
 don't you?

This is what started it all...

 I have had this burlap laying around and had not figured out what to do with it yet
 until an *AHH HA* moment hit the other day
and I decided to use it to skirt my potting bench. I really like the way it looks.
I do have other work to do in this shed {ahem...actually it needs a LOT of work!},
but if I get the little bit done that I want to in a few days I just might show you!!
{only the part that gets done! lol}

 Keep your fingers crossed!! :)

Wisteria in bloom!

I went to my bff's house last week just to photograph
her gorgeous wisteria and here it is. They have two plants. one is his. one is hers.
This one that is blooming is his. It is taking over hers.
Hmmm...lol

I think it is just gorgeous no matter whose it is. :)

{ I was only allowed to photograph upwards because they are working on the house. lol}
This is her candytuft that she has planted on both
sides of her outside stairs that lead to her basement.

Love how it drapes over the sides!

Her potting shed cubby that her hubby made her.
Still haven't gotten mine made yet. I need to get hubby working on that asap!

Is this the cutest garden figurine or what?

Hope you enjoyed the photos today. It is raining here
again...and it is supposed to for the next few days.

This year is the strangest weather ever. I feel so bad
for all those out west affected by the tornados. One day life is moving along just fine and the next day
it is all wiped out. So many lives lost and so many
lives turned upside down. I am so very, very thankful
today for what I have.

Got a rude awakening today by snail mail.
Credit card charges to the tune of $138 for a credit
card that we haven't even activated. It was used to
purchase items in Virginia and California. Thank God
it wasn't for thousands of dollars. They are investigating.
How can someone use a credit card that I have in my
possession when I haven't called and activated it?
Another one of life's mysteries I suppose.
Seems very minor compared to what many people
have gone through this year so I am so very grateful.
It could be something so much worse.

Blessings~
