Treasure TROVE

We visited our son and his family in Indiana this weekend and they showed us his new
work place in Roanoke, Indiana and they also took us to a few shops in this quaint little town.

TROVE was my favorite!

It is located at 270 North Main Street in Roanoke, Indiana.

There is also a TROVE barn and these first few photos are of some of the goodies in the barn.

LOVED IT!

Aren't these lights made out of clay pots so neat?

Fell in LOVE with this ladder.

The TROVE BARN

This building is the main store. They had so many wonderful treasures inside.

Sorry for the quality of some of the photos.
I am afraid that my camera has seen better days for indoor shots or else
I STILL don't know what I am doing. HA!
I do not like to use a flash so I contend with a myriad of blurry photos to weed through.

I just thought the building and the landscaping was beautiful!

I hope you enjoyed your mini tour. If you are ever in Roanoke, Indiana be sure
to stop by...you will love it!

Awesome Finds

I have found a few new to me stores lately and I wanted to share them with you.

Do any of you bloggers live near Adrian, Michigan?
You will wish you did after you see these pics. lol.

The pic above and the the first two below are from a store called

AWESOME FINDS

and believe me it is awesome! They have a few rooms full and also a basement and
their finds are fabulous.

As usual someone (ahem..we won't say her name)
FORGOT
her camera so you have to make due with phone pics and a lot of them are blurry,
but I still wanted to share them.

This store is located at:
123 West Maumee St.
Adrian, Michigan

Be sure and check it out if you are in the area.
You will love it!

They also have a facebook page here.

They have amazing signs and one of a kind gorgeous pieces along with
many gorgeous architectural pieces!

AH MAZING!

********************************************

The rest of these pictures are from

Collette's Vintage and Antique Mall

in Burton, Michigan.

Most of them are horrible pictures , but I hope you can glean the good from them.
Hopefully next time I go I will remember to take my real camera.

I thought they had some very neat booths and ideas, but as I said

horrible pictures that I am so sorry about.

I also went to two AMAZING stores in Holly, Michigan this past weekend but...

 yep...once again...you guessed it

My camera was left in the car and even my phone so I didn't get any pictures of those
places at all. SO bummed.
Next time I am up that way I hope to have my
head screwed on right and have some gorgeous photos for you.

Do you ever forget your camera?
I have been so good at doing that lately...ugh.

A Marshall's Gift Card

What is a girl to do when her hubby gives her a gift card to Marshall's for Christmas??

{She found out right quick!}

She heads for the nearest store and spends it! lol

I had seen these spools of ribbon and trim in TJ Maxx and Home Goods before Christmas
and loved them, but did not purchase any.

I was trying to be good and I am downright proud of myself :)

I also picked up this gray throw.

With everything half off you can get twice as much..

WIN, WIN!!

Blessings~

Come along with me to the Dickens Festival in Holly, Michigan

Over Thanksgiving weekend while we were visiting our daughter and her family, I was thrilled to
attend the Dickens Festival in Holly, Michigan. We didn't take the time to go to any of the plays,
but I was happy just to be there and walk the streets for the atmosphere if nothing else.

Holly is a beautiful little town, especially when it is all decked out for the holidays.

Carolers serenading us with beautiful music.

You could take a ride in a horse and carriage if you so desired. With hubby just losing his job,
we opted not to , but it was fun watching.

There was even a free wine tasting for all who wanted to partake.

I LOVED this storefront, but somehow I never made it into this store!!
I can't believe it.
I told hubby I must have walked past it three times. Next year...

We did go into this beautiful antique store. I just love old buildings, don't you?

The famous and historic Holly Hotel. My daughter took her daughter and me here a few years ago
in the summer for a proper tea. It was very nice, but they served liver pate which neither one of us
could eat! ha!

St. Dominic's choir was found strolling around town singing and it was beautiful! It was so nice to leave
the hustle and bustle of the season behind us and just relax in this beautiful atmosphere.

I found a link online that tells about this choir. If you are interested
you can click here.  They are trained and directed by the Dominican sisters of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

We even happened to see a wedding party that was strolling down the street! What a perfect place
for a Holiday Wedding!

This Santa greeted us right inside the antique store doorway.

Our oldest granddaughter Allysha...she was sick by the time we left to go home.  I felt
so bad for her. She had a terrible headache and quite a fever by the time we got back
and it came on fast.

This was actually a photo of  the rest of our family just entering the festival , but we will
pretend that we are leaving since I am at the end of the post. lol.

I highly recommend this wonderful town if you are ever in the area.

There is a store there called Pigeon in the Parlour that I love!!

I will add those pictures soon.

Happy holidays and God bless us everyone!!

{P.S. my daughter decided that this really wasn't the place for three little boys so she left before
we did and our oldest granddaughter stayed behind and rode back with us}

Just a note: I am having an online garage sale a couple posts previous to this one and I just added
two Jeanne D Arc scarves. They are gorgeous!!
