知情人士透露，微软公司威胁称，若搜索引擎竞争对手继续将微软的互联网搜索数据作为自家AI聊天产品的基础，微软将阻止这些公司获取相关数据。强调隐私的搜索引擎DuckDuckGo已推出DuckAssist，该功能使用AI总结搜索查询的答案。2021年亮相的两个较新搜索引擎You.com和Neeva也首次推出AI驱动的搜索服务，即YouChat和NeevaAI。DuckDuckGo、You.com和Neeva的常规搜索引擎均使用Bing提供部分信息，因在整个网络层面建立索引数据库的成本极高。
