Apple TV and iOS YouTube ads are not blocked by Pi-hole, so I researched this and discovered a flaw in Protobuf that allows me to restrict YouTube ads.

I've always wanted a better way to explore the authorship data embedded in a Git commit log. I'm having fun building a CLI tool to do this.
It's a bit like the "Contributors" tab on Github that shows you how many commits each contributor has made but much faster and with many more options.
If you get a chance to try it out, please let me know. I'd love to hear feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

近日,美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学(Pennsylvania State University)的华人声学教授景云带领团队开发了一种名为「声音飞地」(audible enclaves)的音频技术。该技术通过非线性自弯曲传播的超声波束,在特定区域产生125赫兹至4千赫兹的超宽带局部声场,精确控制人耳可听声音的传播范围。
近日,美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学(Pennsylvania State University)的华人声学教授景云带领团队开发了一种名为「声音飞地」(audible enclaves)的音频技术。该技术通过非线性自弯曲传播的超声波束,在特定区域产生125赫兹至4千赫兹的超宽带局部声场,精确控制人耳可听声音的传播范围。
研究人员利用两台超声波换能器发射出两束人耳无法听到的超声波束,其经由3D打印技术制造的声学超构表面(相当于声学透镜,可精确弯曲和控制声波的传播方向),以略微不同的频率沿弯月形轨迹传播,最终在特定空间点精确交汇。这种超声波束只在交汇点才能发生相互作用,进而「解调」出人耳可听的声音。因此,除了站在波束交汇点的目标听众,周围的人即使身处同一封闭空间,甚至直接站在声源前方,也几乎无法察觉。而且,这两束超声波束还能绕过人体头部等障碍物,准确抵达预定目标位置。真实应用场景测试证明,该系统可在教室、车辆甚至户外等环境中正常运行。
目前,该技术可将声音远程传输至大约一米远的距离,音量约为60分贝,相当于正常交谈的音量。未来,该技术有望有望通过增加超声波强度来提升传输距离和音量,应用于私人语音通讯、沉浸式空间音频再现,以及高精度声场或静音区控制等领域。研究论文3月17日发表于《美国科学院院刊》(PNAS)。
