另一个有趣的整齐花例子:毛地黄 “怪兽” 品种(Digitalis purpurea f. monstrosa)由于基因突变使得花序的无限伸长被打断,顶端分生组织转职开了一朵大花。由于没有信号梯度,这朵大花只能以辐射对称形式开放,而植株的其他花都是正常的两侧对称钟形。
