Are you open to relocation?
I am currently focused on remote-first roles and B2B projects within European time zones, but I am open to exceptional opportunities in strong engineering hubs.
What is your expected contract rate?
My expected rate is usually around €5,000-7,000/month or €450-600/day, depending on scope, duration, urgency, and location requirements. I am also open to fixed-price projects with clearly defined deliverables.
Do you work with AI automation?
Yes. My focus is backend-safe AI integration: workflow automation, retrieval pipelines, internal tools, and service integrations that protect private data and production reliability.
What is your notice period and earliest start date?
I am available now and can usually start within 2 weeks of contract signing. I do not currently have notice period constraints.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Remote-first. I am based in Riga, Latvia, and work well with European time zones. I am also open to occasional on-site visits within Europe when the project needs it.

I have worked in fintech, ERP, SaaS, e-commerce, transport and ticketing systems, digital agencies, high-traffic web platforms, and AI-enabled products.
Can you work with international clients?
Yes. I am open to B2B contracts with clients worldwide, especially remote backend, fintech, SaaS, ERP, AI automation, and web application projects. I can work directly with companies, startups, agencies, or founders on monthly, daily, or fixed-scope project terms.
Can you work as an employee for companies outside Latvia?
For direct employment outside Latvia, the setup depends on the country and the employer's legal structure. Some companies can hire internationally through Employer of Record platforms such as Remote.com, Deel, or similar providers, which can handle local employment, payroll, and compliance. I am open to this model when it fits the role.
Do you have work authorization in Latvia?
Yes. I am based in Riga, Latvia, with a Latvian residence permit and work rights. For roles or on-site employment outside Latvia, requirements may depend on the country, contract type, and whether the company hires directly, through B2B, or through an Employer of Record.
Do you take fixed-scope projects?
Yes. Besides long-term contracts, I can take defined projects such as building MVPs, backend APIs, admin panels, integrations, automation tools, internal platforms, and web or mobile app backends. Fixed pricing works best when the scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria are clear.
Can you lead teams or are you an individual contributor?
Both. I am comfortable as a senior individual contributor in fast-moving teams and have also led engineering workstreams and mentored junior developers. I prefer staying hands-on rather than moving into purely managerial work.
What is your strongest technical area?
Backend engineering for business-critical systems. I am strongest with PHP/Symfony and Laravel for complex product backends, Go for distributed services, and database, messaging, testing, and legacy modernization work.
Have you worked in regulated environments?
Yes. I have worked on fintech and financial platforms where reliability, auditability, secure data handling, testing, and production-safe delivery are important.
