Hot Wired Monstertrux (1993) is a highly regarded industrial and alternative metal compilation album, often praised for its excellent mix of artists like KMFDM and Ministry. It serves as a nostalgic favourite for listeners, offering a "magnificent and monstrous" sound featuring driving, heavy tracks. The compilation features a range of 90s industrial music, including tracks from KMFDM, Ministry, and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. The compilation is often associated with the gritty, high-energy industrial scene of the early 1990s, offering a strong, cohesive, and "bombastic" sound.
Great entry point for anyone interested in the popular end of the industrial scene of the time. This introduced me to Front 242, KMFDM, Consolidated and Meat Beat Manifesto and, for that, I owe it a lot. There's some great other stuff on here too (Murder Inc for one) but my favourite has to be the lengthy Jesus Built My Hotrod remix (Ministry) complete with a load of samples from John Huston's Wise Blood - "Where you come from is gone, where you thought you were going to weren't never there and where you are ain't no good 'less you can get away from it". Smashing.
