Responsible AI Principles

We value the ethical development and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that respects human values, promotes fairness, and ensures transparency. We are committed to leveraging AI to drive innovation and create value while mitigating potential risks and ensuring the responsible use of data. Our ethical principles include:

  1. Privacy, Safety, and Governance:
Ensure that all AI systems and applications are developed and used in a manner that respects the privacy and security of personal data. This includes complying with all applicable data protection regulations, such as GDPR, PDPL, obtaining necessary consents in every data pipeline, ensuring data residency, enforcing encryption-at-rest and in-flight, and preventing back-door exports or third-party sharing without explicit opt-in.
  2. Security and Risk Mitigation:
Contribute to the security of AI systems by following security best practices, promptly reporting any vulnerabilities or security incidents, and participating in security awareness training. This may include protecting AI models and training data from unauthorized access, malicious inputs, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
  3. Fairness, Inclusion, and No Bias:
Identify and prevent biases and discrimination in AI models, algorithms, data, and outcomes. This includes reviewing algorithms for bias; ensuring that diverse, sufficient, and representative datasets are used for model training; regularly monitoring AI systems for unintended biases and concept drifts; and retraining the models if the bias thresholds are exceeded.
  4. Transparency and Interpretability:
Where applicable, contribute to the development and implementation of mechanisms that allow users to identify AI-generated content, explain patterns, and understand the decision logic of AI models. This may include disclosing AI use to customers and employees, developing or employing tools to detect AI generated contents, clarifying limitations of AI tools, and documenting decision logic with human-readable explanations.
  5. Human-Centric Design for Social and Environmental Benefits:
Develop AI systems to serve humanity and have a positive impact on society and the environment. This may include clarity of purpose, such as customer-oriented solutions, human-centric design, complementing social and environmental progress, avoiding causing any adversarial effects on human beings, and promoting social good and sustainability.
  6. Ethical Use of AI:
Assign human ownership and oversight to the AI systems. This may include human-centric design, human-guardrails and monitoring, training of the staff about ethical use of AI, compliance, and adherence to evolving frameworks and regulations such as PDPL, IP laws, SDAIA ethics framework, and EU AI act.
