Discover your own story, one sentence at a time.

S[I]GNS is a bookmark and a microgame, where words and punctuation guide your journey.

How it works: Start at the top of the page, find a word that calls to you, confront an obstacle, follow a guide, and let the story unfold. Count punctuation to shape the narrative. Each playthrough is unique.

You will find two versions:

  • Classic: Calm, reflective, literary: a quiet microgame of observation and introspection.
  • Horror: Dark, unsettling, and ritualistic: a shadowed version. Perfect for an Halloween night,

Scale it, print it, cut the window and immerse yourself in your own unfolding story.

I played this game with a book I reviewed, and found it very therapeutic!  Tysm for making it!  Link to my post:

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m thrilled to hear the experience went "a step forward" for you.

After reading I'd like to comment a couple of points: the main one is size... this should not be this big 😱😱😱

I keep the files separated specifically to save users from unnecessary ink usage (the black versions is heavy), though I may create a combined front/back version for future updates.

My testers too had some difficulties with box preparation... using semi-rigid paper helps, but I'll be looking into a few design tweaks to make the cutting process smoother and easier.

Finally, I'm so glad the phrasing worked for you! I kept it intentionality broad to ensure it resonates with as many people and text as possible.

Thanks again for the support!

You're welcome!  It was a very moving experience.

Huh!  It was that big when I printed it out without any modifications (100% size, etc); you saw the picture.  How big is it supposed to be when printed?  Genuinely want to figure this out, I hope I'm not coming across as defensive b/c that's not my intention/tone at all!

That makes sense!  I just liked the idea of having each side with the two versions, which is why I combined the pdfs.  A combined file could be good to add in the future!

I didn't find the box preparation too difficult; I just poked through with a pen, then put my scissors in the hole and cut on the edges.  A few design tweaks could be good though; I'm curious what those will be.

Yeah, it really worked for me! & that makes total sense!

You're very welcome!  Thanks again for the game.

The bookmark ended up a bit longer than usual after the tests, but my desk copy is about 18cm, so I’m going to check the files and make sure the right version is live!

About the box, I have some drafts with a smaller, slightly more centered version that should be much easier to work with, and keep thinner paper from folding. May do a combo with the front/rear, just having some issues with the testers.... like that slazy ape escaped from the zoo :) (jk, he's a good guy).
