ASFOS #37/MTTC #47

This is my card for this week's ASFOS challenge, which is a sketch and MTTC challenge which is 'a little birdie told me'. I stamped the gorgeous Sugar Nellie image and coloured her with my pro-markers. The plain cs is from the papermill shop and the swirl dp is by craftybitz. The two pieces of purple dp are from the nanna's nursery (boy) pad by DCWV. The sentiment is by stampendous and the adhesive stones are PM. The large flower is by Heidi Swapp (I think) and the smaller flower was punched out of the dp with my x-cut punch. The brad is from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Dutch Dare Challenge #28

The dutch dare challenge this week was to follow a sketch. I had to make a card for a friend's birthday so combined the two. I stamped the Anita's image and coloured it with my pro-markers. The dp is by creative imaginations, brown cs is bazzill bling and pink cs is from the papermill shop. The sentiment is hero arts and the pearls are by craftybitz. Thanks for looking.

Bella ballerina

I made this card for my niece's 4th birthday and as she loves ballerina's and dancing I thought this image was ideal. I stamped the stamping bella image, coloured her with my pro-markers and once again paper pieced her dress. The gorgeous dp is cosmo cricket and the plain cs is from the papermill shop. The lovely flowers are from my stash and the button is doodlebug (I added extra bling to the button and flowers with stickles). The pearls are craftybitz and the sentiment was done on my pc. A very girly card but really pretty IRL. Thanks for looking.

Sad cards to make

Unfortunately I've had to make several sympathy cards over the last week or so and it always seems much more difficult at this time of year. My neighbour's brother (who was in his 40's) died last week and this was the card I made to show I was thinking of her. The image is by inkadinkado and it's a very simple image as it needs no embellishing, it is just beautiful as it is. I used 'lace' dp by Joanna Sheen and plain cs from the papermill shop. The pearls are by craftybitz and the organza ribbon is from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Sketch Saturday #29

Here is my card for this week's Sketch Saturday challenge. I stamped the hero arts image and then paper pieced another image over the top (shock horror no pro-markers were used in the making of this card!!). The lovely dp (that I also used to paper piece the tree) is by Bo Bunny and the tree dp is by My Minds Eye. The "lace" is adhesive paper ribbon by K & Co. The sentiment was done on my pc and the pearls are by craftybitz. The sticky ribbon is by PM. Thanks for looking.

Retirement card

I was asked to make a retirement card for a friend at work. I love this penny black image and yes I know I use it for every retirement card but I think it fits the bill perfectly. I coloured the image with my pro-markers and added a little dot of stickles to the cocktail glass. I used dp by kaiser craft (that was part of the blog candy from Han). I used pearl dots from craftybitz (I think) and the sentiment was done on my pc. The large flower is by prima and the smaller flower is from my stash. I got new 'stitch' stamps from stamps away and tried them out on this card. Some of the edges went a little awry but overall I like the result (just need a bit more practice at lining them up). CCT challenge

I made this card for a friend at work, who's birthday it will be on Tuesday. Luckily the colours also fit for this week's cute card thursday challenge who's theme is 'lilac'. I cheated and used penny black stickeroos for the image panel and all the dp is from the nanna's nursery baby boy stack by DCWV. The ribbon is by Anita's and the flowers are from my stash. The small pearly dots are by craftybitz (I think, but I've had them for ages so may be wrong). The sentiment stamp is by hero arts. Thanks for looking.

birthday girl

I made this card for a girl who's turning 11. I coloured the gorgeous image kindly sent to me by Diane with my pro-markers. I used dp by craftybitz and bazzill bling cs. The flowers were cut out of the dp and I added mini buttons to the centres. The sentiment was done on my pc and the adhesive stones are by papermania. I apologise for the very crappy photo I think my camera must be playing up (the bazzill bling being so sparkly doesn't help either). Thanks for looking.
