justdave's notes:
I used Goldwave to convert the MPEG4 to a Wave 16bit/44,1khz. I then used Goldwave to edit the tracks. No noise reduction, EQ, or remastering was done to the recording. The video had lossy audio so it was encoded to MP3 320kbps using Trader's Little Helper. I edited the show as it was broadcast, a continuous 5 hour broadcast. If you want to burn CDs you will have to find the right spots to edit your CD1, CD2 etc.
Taylor Hawkins, drummer for The Foo Fighters, died March 25, 2022. Early toxicology reports suggest that a drug overdose may be the cause, but no official ruling has been made as of this date. The band was scheduled to play the Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá, Colombia but had to cancel. The stage was turned into a candle light vigil.
This recording is from show 1 of 2 shows planned to honor Taylor. The 2nd was on September 27 in Los Angeles, California. It's a great show with a lot of different performers, some legendary, some not quite there but on their way. Check out Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age/Kyuss/Them Crooked Vultures fame singing David Bowie's "Let's Dance" and Sir Elton John's "Good-bye Yellow Brick Road" and nail it! Chevy Metal & Ke$ha deliver a great version of T. Rex's "Children Of The Revolution". Brian Johnson & Lars Ulrich jam out some AC/DC classics. Geddy Lee & Alex Lifeson using 2 different drummers to pull off some Rush tracks. Sir Paul McCartney steps up with Chrisse Hynde and deliver some Beatles while Brian May and Roger Taylor give us a bit of Queen.
I hope everyone enjoys this, it took a lot of work to get it together. Not sure if there are any other audio rips of this show out yet. T.U.B.E. offers the MPEG4 that I made the audio rip from, it's actually where I downloaded it. It's kind of a big file set, so It has been separated into 2 parts which can be opened separately.

Another great Queen & Freddie Mercury show as Rosebud salutes her favorite vocalists. This recording comes from an AM Radio station not FM so there is a sound difference. This is however a great show so don't let the AM Radio thing hold you back. The artwork included is the best I could find but rather cheap. Hopefully I will find something better in the future.

Freddie Mercury – lead vocals, piano, guitar
Brian May – guitar, vocals
John Deacon – bass
Roger Taylor – drums, vocals
Special Guest:
Fish (Marillion) - vocals "Tutti Frutti".
This is show in Rosebud's Salute To Her Favorite Singers is #1 for the Freddie Mercury segment. This recording from Queen's 1986 tour in support of the A Kind Of Magic album is considered to be one of the best from that tour. This is a 100% complete recording with no cuts or fade ins/fade outs. An added bonus is that "Fish", lead vocalist of Marillion, joins in on "Tutti Frutti".
When I sat with Rosebud last night to preview this recording before post, it caused a big emotional response from me. See my 5 year old Grandson lives in Japan with my daughter while her husband serves in the US Navy. I miss him terribly and will not see him for another 2 years. When Freddie sang "Is This The World We Created?" I cried. Reason being, with the way things are in my country, I think he's safest there. I don't want to turn The New JDP into a big political debate or my personal soapbox (it's my safe place) so I will just say..everyone in the world no matter their actual political view can see the US is not well. My Grandson is half way around the globe, safe. God I miss him.

I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to edit some track marks and make some adjustments to the volume which fluctuated some. justdave's notes:
I must thank the original uploader of the DVD Deer5001 for his awesome job creating such a fine DVD. Some of the track markings were a little off, with small bits of songs beginnings at the end of others so I corrected those with Goldwave v6.15. I also separated the announcers long Encore break chatter from "Bohemian Rhapsody". The medley of "In The Lap Of The Gods / Seven Seas Of Rhye / Killer Queen" had been cut into separate tracks I joined them for a more seamless listen. I have edited the files so that they play as a continuous show like the DVD, so if you want to burn it to CD-r you will have to choose a place for you CD1 & CD2.

This recording comes from Queens first ever performance in Buenos Aires and a killer show it is. Freddy Mercury was regarded as one of the best front man in rock music. His commanding stage presence, soaring voice, and flamboyant stage attire won audiences the world over. Queen concerts were a feast of sound and sight, with a light show that would blind a full stadium. We lost Freddy Mercury to bronchial pneumonia, a complication of AIDS, on November 23, 1991.

Nice sounding FM recording from Gibson Guitar's 100th Birthday Celebration. An all-star cast of guitarists, all sponsored by Gibson, throw down some great Rock & Roll in praise of the world famous six string. CD 1 is made up of The Gibson All-Stars with various vocalists, as well as the bands Skin, Thunder, and Pride & Glory. CD 2 is Paul Rodgers jamming with an exceptional cast of guitar players. I highly recommend this to everyone!!!

Information
Queen rocking The Houston Summit like only Queen can. This is a fine sounding recording and a killer show. There are some bands that defy catigorization or imitation, Queen sits regaly at the top of that crowd. Queen actually defy most music business standards. If you told a modern day label A&R guy that you had a band that blended Opera, Rock & Roll, Broadway, Schmaltz, Classical, and Metal sometimes in the context of one song he would tell you that you had an unsignable band try the indy labels. Yet Queen sold millions of records, enjoyed sold out tours of major arenas, and hit singles.
