Spiritual Beggars play a style of Heavy Metal that is a direct nod to the Old School 1970's Hard Rock/Heavy Metal sound. Lead vocalist Apollo Papathanasio has a sound reminiscent of Tony Martin or Rainbow era Ronnie James Dio. Keyboardist Per Wilberg's performance brings to mind such 1970's Hammond Organ players as Uriah Heep's Ken Hensley or Deep Purple's Jon Lord, while Michael Amott's guitar paying owes a huge debt to Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath.
