The band was calling themselves Boingo at this time in their career. The name change only happened for the album "Boingo" and tour for that LP. In 1995 the band returned to the name Oingo Boingo before breaking up. Danny Elfman says there will not be any Oingo Boingo reunions due to his "irreversible hearing loss" and his fear that performing willl make it worse.
