Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister (R.I.P.) - bass, lead vocals
Phil "Wizzö" Campbell - lead & rhythm guitar, backing vocals
Michael "Würzel" Burston (R.I.P.) - lead & rhythm guitar
Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (R.I.P.) - drums tracks 01-08
Pete Gill - drums tracks 09-16

We lost Michael "Würzel" Burston July 9, 2011 to a heart attack
We lost Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor November 11, 2015 to liver failure
We lost Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister December 29, 2015 to cancer

This compilation recording gives us a chance to pay tribute to Lemmy, Wurzel, and Philthy all on one boot. I really loved the two guitar line up of Motörhead. I caught the Orgasmatron Tour at Harpo's and loved it as much as when I saw the original line-up. I also saw the final trio of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, and Mickey Dee a three times. I think my favorite line up was the Orgasmatron line up.

Just A Thank You!

Well It's another new year and we figured we would stop and say Thank You to all our visitors. We actually celebrated our 3rd Year during the Holiday run, December 8 as a matter of fact. In that time we have grown to average 700 hits a day from countries all over the world. We also celebrated or 1000th Post with a tribute to David Bowie. In that time we have never strayed from our original mission statement, to never post anything we wouldn't want to listen to over and over again. No one wants to listen to a recording that sounds like someone recorded it with a tin can in the bathroom with the water running, to paraphrase Tunzmaster Dino. In the coming future we promise we never will stray from that statement. So more Soundboards, Studio Outtakes & Demos, FM Broadcasts, and Pre-FM Recordings. We haven't even scratched the surface of the great contributions Draftervoi (Pre-FM King!) has sent us (Thanks Bro!).

In the near future we will continue to pay tribute to David Bowie and Lemmy Kilmister, two musical deaths that hit really hard here at The New JDP. There will be more of site favorites like Black Sabbath, Opeth, Journey, Joe Cocker, Frank Marino, Chick Corea, & Stanley Clarke. We will also be bringing you some shows from bands that haven't been on the site yet including Simple Minds, Tears For Fears, Ministry, Bonnie Raitt, Streets, and GTR.

Thank you to all of you for keeping this blog alive. Without all of you it would be for nothing!

justdave notes:
When I received this it was in 5 segments. The original uploader removed the commercials and a couple of the voice overs but didn't index the songs. I decoded the files using Traders Little Helper and used Goldwave v5.04 to index the tracks. I then re-encoded the tracks to Flac level 8 using Traders Little Helper, aligning all sector boundaries. The announcer says that this is a composite recording from two separate shows one recorded early in the War Tour, the other later in the same tour. The original uploader thinks that the recording came from The Orpheum Theatre, Boston, MA 1982.

This is a great sounding recording of a fabulous gig from Jean-Luc Ponty and his band. If you have never tried Jean-Luc's music before this is the gig to check out. This is Jazz Fusion delivered with a fire, think something like Jeff Beck Live with Jan Hammer Group. If you re a Jean-Luc Ponty fan already, than you really need this for your collection.
